  6. We need a little more info to be honest m8.... try multiplayer again and look for a line between 2 bars of equal signs that details the error like; ================================================================ error will be here ================================================================ or post the whole error log, rather than just the first bit (as you have in your post) and we'll try and help from there. There isn't many errors that people get that haven't been seen before good luck, best wishes ........ Wrighty

  10. to open a dos windows within windows98, open your run box/window thingy and type command - that'll open a dos window.... if it won't allow you (as u mentioned already i think) to run scanreg within windows do the following... 1. Exit the MS-DOS window, single click on "Start." 2. Single click on "Shut Down...," single click on "Restart the computer in MS-DOS Mode." 3. Single click on "OK." The computer will restart in MS-DOS Mode. At the "C" prompt (C:\), change to the DOS application directory and type the name of the .exe file and press <Enter>. (info from here) This page seems to have a good guide to diagnosing startup problems too, if a) you can slot in a look between poker games and B) Mick hasn't been over to do that burial thing already good luck
  11. it might be scanreg /restore (i.e. with a space in before the /) as i recall.... try here
  12. are you able to start up to desktop in safe mode then do a system restore to an earlier date? you shouldn't lose any files this way but restore points go back months....might be worth a try
  13. wow lovely job Marcy
  14. Championship mode might be the root of the problem m8....Champ mode in nascar heat is set to automatically do practice, then qualifying, then the race.... the first 2 rely on a pitlane entrance/exit, which the UK tracks don't have so the game crashes. Usually you have to do single races rather than Championship format sry

  22. From left to right they are FRITZ - HAM - ALBERTZ Only two bullets, who would you pick Albertz.....twice, just to make sure
  23. thats an odd one m8, i'm not sure tbh. I checked in my nascar heat/run folder and there's no race.bin there. the Heat.bin file referred to in the pic message is part of the original install and i presume thats missing, hence the game tries to copy race.bin over to the temp folder....sometimes only a fresh re-install will do m8, remind him to save his setups away first... or he could put them on here, we'll look after them
  24. All the best Lakey, hope you have a great day
  25. Happy Birthday to you both, hope you both have great days
