thats not all of it i'm afraid...... Championship mode relies on the Nascar method (practice, qualify then race) so practice and qualifying will only work on a track with a pitlane (i.e. none of ours)

if you're on XP, go into control panel, then into system and select the device manager tab - you should get a list of all installed devices (hardware) on the PC, and will hopefully find an exclamation mark next to the sound devices, where the drivers may not be installed properly - then try the 'update driver' feature to reinstall the drivers for the sound card - i've just had the same happen on mine (new hd, had cd's for all of the devices except the sound so had to use xp drivers to get that going) i'm not great at this stuff lol but look at the device manager to see if you have exclamation marks anywhere in the device list

sounds like a job for hijackthis skeet - look for a prog called hijackthis (think its by merijn software) - this checks all running applications and programs on your pc and gives you a written report - you can then submit this report to their forum for analysis and support (you'd need to join the forum but i think Grasser and Yorick are members already, as am i) and they're very good at spotting rogue progs that are creating the files...... i had a similar problem last year and their advice was invaluable. best wishes ............ Got to agree, another fabulous weekend for us at the Racewall - as mentioned previously the stock rods served more contact in a lap than i usually get to see at sunny Barford in a month - more immense action from the SSCs, with two (three?) of the 4 races seeing last-corner action for the lead and of course the aforementioned 'exchanges' in the prostocks - congrats of sorts to Kev McQueen for solid performances (that came to nought booo) as well....... great to see so many familiar faces again and of course finally a thousand thanks to Chewy and Kel for the use of Chewigi's mansion again superb stuff cheers .........
