  1. So old women could get 14mpg out of it but old men get less than 10? Well done for stating that fact again for the hard of thinking i struggled, cheers erik
  2. seems an odd place for it to stop unless theres something like a bad chassis name (as muns mentions) or a wheelname perhaps. re: skinpacks, i wouldn't try and pluck things from different folders tbh. collect all of the skins with the drivers text (check the drivers text has the header text from a current bangers drivers text then change the name and date at the top of that), and then, using the install creator wizard thingy select that folder (once you've typed your preliminary bumph in) and get all of the files from one source. For where it has to install too, i always recommend having the mod folder open so u can just cut'n'paste the folder location from the address bar in yr folder window. Rather than mugging another folder, it may be easier to create the folder as part of the install pack creation.....i.e. if you wanted a skin set for say pre-68 under 1400s (lol), just get the C:\Program Files\Hasbro Interactive\NASCAR Heat\ukdirtbangers part of the address and then add \p68u14 or whatever, that'll create the folder to add the skins into, and the specific folders in banger only contain .tex's and a drivers text. Then open yr BHCM and you should find the p68u14's available to pick. Ensure the chassis yr using are in the main mod folder and as mentioned, there's no errors in wheelnames, chassis names etc in the text. good luck
  3. had a trawl thru the archives at Stoxnet and this pic was about all i could find m8
  4. Hi m8, Most routers now have a built-in firewall, so if you're first pc hosts a server, the 2nd pc'll get in no problem but you may not be able to serve to the outside world ....... until you dabble with the router settings haha...nah it can be done but its a faff, but pc's on your network'll find it np I got a Netgear DG834 wired router (not wireless, ask kewy about wireless ) with a built-in firewall....i've linked the 'range' page rather than product so u can look at the choices, but ours was easy to set up and works very well.
  5. still looking like a re-install of nascar heat atm m8
  6. aye i think when u do the cd install you have to go in and do a few laps before anythings been added to it (i.e. in a nascar) to let some game files sort themselves before you add patches etc in.
  7. erm it should be in c:documents & settings/(user name if your pc is set up that way)local settings/temp i think.....its a hidden folder so you'll have to set hidden folders as visible then redo the search
  8. looks good m8 wd.......might be a 1970ish impala?
  9. don't forget you'll have a specific car setup in which allows the car to react in this way.....not usual with your average 'off-the-peg' banger i think (i assume, i hope lol). 'Fixed' setup to real car settings and physics might see a slight change in that
  10. if the file is for offline use you can just take pacecar1 (the full model version of the .mod, i.e. the highest detail) and copy that then rename it to pacecar2, pacecar3 etc..... Pacecar0 is the in-car view so for that model you don't need anything behind the drivers head (all of that can be deleted) and everything below the bonnet level that isnt in the drivers 'line of sight' (underside of the car, lower sections of the side, the nose etc) can all be binned. If the car is for (or is planned to be for) online use, you have to reduce the detail (number of polys) for each model......the recommended levels are around 3500 polys maximum for pacecar1 & 2, mebbes 2000 for 3, 1500 for 4, 1200 for 5 and under 800 or so for 6 (tho in reality the short track mod cars dont see below pacecar3 level.....i tried the replay at Baarlo, as about the longest track for camera position replay and i saw the switch from pacecar2 to 3 levels at the longest shot there)....the point here is that the more detail you have in a car, the more all of the computers seeing the car (i.e. all the other racers) have to process, so models that are lighter on detail support multi-player, multi-car races better than high-poly ones do. kinda thing i'm no expert on this but learned a lot with modelling thanks to the knowledge and talents of the current and ex-Heat modellers....genius's one and all hope this helps explain it a littlle.....Wrighty
  11. happy birthday m8..... which mart is it again? lol have a good un m8
  12. here, try my heat.bin in case yours is corrupted heat.zip
  13. yep theres deffo summat off there if the heat.bin's tying up your processor to that extent, i'd go for a re-install too tbh

  15. be careful with point 2 in xtx's post as you may be exposed as a rampant bullsh1tter (he works there lol, unloading isnt that likely) but aside of that excellent advice
  16. oh and tread carefully m8, its all fine and well 'fighting the good fight' but its your own employer lol........gan canny lad
  17. Hi Cider, As Kendo says, its a toughie but i had a quick look and found this page by Leicestershire borough council which mentions the following..... How long does it take to get yellow lines put in? * Yellow lines need a legal process called a Traffic Regulation Order. This can take anything from 6 months to several years, depending on consultations and objections. We assess requests and give priority to safety issues. This implies that private companies can have the lines put down by prior request, but I'd query whether the TRO is in place (probably by asking Rochdale Borough council here or the Highways Agency)......if it is, you might be bang to rights lol, if not then it might serve as the basis of a worthy appeal. Request more info with the street address etc. best wishes ....... Wrighty
