  1. Mav #525 Please
  2. Its because of last night I can't race Concentrated that much all night, I didn't sleep well and have had a migraine all day :-( Need an early night to get rid of it as I am off to Manchester at 5am tomorrow, and then back to work for 9am!!!! But your right, all things considered I would have been up for it tonight!! Leaving it to Jnr to do the business tonight tho!
  3. I have just cancelled my booking on the UK Dirt Website.
  4. Very good site - informative, bright and comprehensive - Well Done ps Are any of the "Quotes" mine by any chance???
  5. Have downloaded the track, and will have a practice when I get home from work. Make a decision then
  6. I know what you mean Jakie - hence why I havent booked in!!! Just give the trophy to TomD and lets all go to the pub - Sat in the beer garden soaking up the rays!!!
  7. I have not booked in as I am not racing the meeting, but I will be attempting the W&Y race.
  8. All these brilliant pictures and I am amazed that I don't feature in any of them!!! Usually I am facing the wrong way or in the fence - I guess I am just not photogenic enough for the competition!!!
  9. Simon #285 has changed his plans and won't be racing now - Sorry.
  10. I agree Big Al, It was mega tough!! Practice didn't fill me with hope, but first heat I got away from Tom P #21 and settled down and managed to finish 5th. More of that I thought, but as usual I get it wrong, didn't get away from Tom P and ended up 11th in both my next races. Final was a disaster, missed the melee in the opening laps by following JanHarm round the outside until he hit the unused pitgate fence post - relegated to last in the opening laps. Did get back to 18th but being mixed in with the front runners was hard work. GN was going really well until this happened!! THREE INTO ONE DOES NOT GO!!!! TOM HITS THE FENCE, BOUNCES INTO MY CAR WHICH BOUNCES INTO DAN'S DAN AND I ARE SENT INTO A SPIN . LOOKS LIKE DANS OK, I'M STUFFED AND TOM'S OFF! TOM'S AWAY, DANS MOMENTUM SWINGS HIM THE OTHER WAY AND I CATCH MY SPIN - JUST! TOM'S GAINED TWO PLACES AND GONE, DAN TRYING TO SPIN IT AROUND AND I AM NOW IN THE LAST RUNNERS BATTLE! Ended up ninth, but like Southy my aim was 5 points but managed 7, so quite happy with the night really. Yarmouth is gonna be a tester, but looking forward to it.
  11. All I can say is "Thanks IanStep #516"!!! Happy to have got up to 6th in the UK Open on lap 5, then came Ian............would've loved to have had a proper go at a top ten place but never mind thats racing!! Chuffed to have done well in the heats, held my own on occasions and scored 5 top tens. Could blue be suiting me now or will yellow still be calling me yet!! Well Done Harmen, commisserations Green and oh so nearly MOR.
  12. Normal service resumed - not facing the right way!!!! Not much of a crowd to cheer Big Al on was there!!!
  13. I got to the stage where I thought this meeting was "Absolutely Pointless" - Heat 1, hit the pileup before even crossing the line then got stuck on Big Al's car on the centre green! Got going but a lap down, disappointed to finish 11th - hate 11th place!! Heat 2 bad start and hit fence post before the line and out of the race, Heat 3, good start this time but Marten put me into tyre, front end damage finished last - So no points ie Pointless, and only done 4 or so laps on the lead lap out of three races!!! Imagine my surprise when I was listed as a final qualifier!! Final started off really well, but once the star drivers caught up (couldn't catch the lower graders) I was demoted and finished well down the places. Last bend was mayhem and sorry if I caused some to crash, but that just tippified my night!! I was relieved to see 2 GN's, as it gave me the opportunity to score points, and the race went well until I caught Big Al. Got past him then set my sights on the next guy, but Big Al just kept on coming back at me - the damn cheek of the guy!! I then decided to make a race with him (as we were not going to catch the guys in front) and when we were joined by a lap down Alip, that threw me as I just wanted to race Al and beat him. I backed off wishing Alip would sod off but he didn't and to be fair it made it a good battle. Cursing that I couldn't get to Al on the last lap, I stomped off with 7th and some points at last. Having now watched the race, it was a truly good battle and my mood at the time didn't reflect this, so well done guys it was a good un! Oh and Al, next time - I will beat you
  14. Chevykiller didn't join the B Final within the 20seconds, then drove out of the pits and lined up on turn 1. The other drivers had done a lap to form the grid. Therefore Chevy was a lap down right from the start.
  15. The races are 2 laps too long!!!! Any chance we can shorten them???? Put alot of effort into it last night, and to come out with just 3 points is somewhat disappointing especially when I was in the top five with only two to go in a couple of heats but ended up 8th. Was chuffed to be running 9th in the Irish Open after sticking out the start, but a few hits saw me relegated down the list and finished outside the top ten. Never mind, onward to the next meeting Gradings will change again with avengence next month, as people are doing well from lower grades - can't wait for it to settle down - giving everyone a chance of winning and thus making it unpredicable. The current set of drivers UK Dirt have are all capable and is contributing to making the racing great. People do genuinely seem to be enjoying the meetings. As for the B Final, I did see Chevykiller pass Jnr, but Jnr stayed 1st so I thought Chevy must have crashed out earlier and been a lap down. Jnr was disappointed that Marten passed him as he wanted to match Big Al and win a B Final, with it being Jnr's birthday today and all!! Well Done to all winners, and high point scorers - maybe one meeting that will be me
  16. Not knowing what to do, I decided to try my graphics card in the other PC - It worked!!! Been online with it and the racing is alot smoother. Purchased what I thought was a like for like replacement for my PC, and I am up and running again - not sure if I have gone up or come down with graphic performance but it works!! Thanks for the offer MOR, If I was confident of it fitting/working, I would have bought it from you. Thanks to Matty for the advice, and your right the Credit Card has been hit - Hope the missus don't find out!!!
  17. Makes a change to see me in a photo where I am going the right way!!! Thought you would have posted my spin at Birmingham the other week, right in front of the whole pack! Great pictures tho - keep them coming
  18. Having opened the box, I still haven't got a clue!!!! I have enclosed a picture of whats inside, maybe someone can tell me if MOR's graphic card will fit, but more importantly will it work with Windows XP and the pc itself?? Any help would be appreciated.
  19. I'll open the box up tomorrow and have a look. If it can fit I would be interested. I'll let you know what I find out - Thanks m8
  20. I didn't expect to score any points in the next five meetings after being upgraded to blue, but I have!!! Really chuffed to have had two top ten finishes, disappointed with the final to be 18th, but on the whole I'm happy with 5 points Tarmac next week - maybe a different story!!!
  21. I have bought a second hand PC for my lad to race rFactor on, but having tried it online it is jumpy and not raceable. Only thing I can think of is the graphics card is not good enough. The pc runs windows xp. Can anyone advise me of a graphics card to get that will work on a Dell Optiplex 320. Thanks. I enclose a screen shot of the rfactor config screen.

    Grade Changes

I think I would prefer to be in those yellows, looking at the new blues and decending reds!! Think April to May is going to be difficult but lets give it a go ps Big Al, If I ever catch you in the next month racing, be sure to be kind to me!!!

    Belle Vue

As I can only see my number in one heat, I'll cancel please. Really enjoyed these at the end of last season, even thought I'd manage to get to red, but the practice sessions this season coupled with the two meetings so far, one on each surface, I have hated as the cars are so different to drive. I spent a long time last season getting comfortable with the car last year, and now I'm going to have to do it again just to stand still. My 2011 setups don't work now (even with tweaking), the cars are twitchy and easy to knock off line, its awful. Real shame as I liked shale last year and did well, for me anyway.
  24. No Worries Southy
  25. Looking forward to it as Jnr & I enjoyed last weekend. Should be there on 25th, but hopefully attending the Northern Vets Annual Do on the 3rd March so I will miss out on that one, but Jnr maybe there.
