Fully understand and agree Drum. In the heat of that disasterous Final for me, to then being "accused" of Team Racing, I was appaulled. Problem is, you only see it at the time from your side; you only know what your intentions are/were, and mine at that time had nothing to do with helping Jnr. I too, need to see the replay, but if you (as in "Admin team") feel I am guilty then I have the right of appeal IF its required. Dave, Ok, between a follow in and a push then

There was nothing that I would consider a complaint Southy, I feel that come the end of the season, drivers don't take it as seriously (If that is the right word) and incidents occur which could be avoided thus the racing experience would be improved. It's a shame to think that the end of the season is weighed heavily with Championships, that people work hard to be part of during the season, only for "some" drivers who either have failed to make it or weren't there during the main season, to "disrespect" those that have been. I admit I lost it myself last night, after Dave decided on a follow in during the CS Semi, which I am sure that I instigated laps before; then every race after that, a stupid little incident cost me, to which I again over-reacted on track. It was just pure frustration. I apologise 100% to Jack for costing him the final, but can assure everyone that "Team Racing" wasn't on my mind when the incident occurred. I have not watched the replay yet so can't fully say what happened and why but too much red mist was definitely a factor. We have decided to go out next monday now, to celebrate my wifes birthday, so you can enjoy yourselves and not have "Red Mist" behind you! Most likely i will be back in 2012, and probably Jnr too!

What a shocker! Firstly the racing was disappointing right from the off in the CS Semi, and that set my tone for the night. No luck when I made my break, the yellows and whites seeing to that, so a right downer of a meeting. Secondly, I feel really insulted to hear that I am being investigated for "Team Racing". The last few meetings in F2's I feel has gone downhill to what it was during the season and I don't feel that next week is gonna be enjoyable, so in order to RULE OUT the prospect of "Team Racing" - Jnr can do the meeting. I will celebrate my wife's birthday with her for a change rather than with you lot!!!! Thanks for an good season, on the whole - 2nd row of the World of Shale being the highlight for me. See you next season or Jnr will. ps Well Done Nezza on taking the final - All your 3 leafed clovers came together at once!!!

Any chance of having a "Muppets of Muppets" race or would there be too many on the grid??? ps Drum, I'll race for ya!

No Worries, just thought I would ask. -
F2 Skegness Preview - White & Yellow Championship Final
Mav replied to southy277's topic in F2 (rFactor)
If there is unsufficient numbers, like with the Consi Semi, can I join the race but with a grade gap or two - I did race as yellow this season but was unable to attend the W&Y's meetings?? Just asking -
Having had a successful campaign on shale this season (Couldn't drive shale last season for love nor money!!), I found myself on an rfactor career best 2nd row for the world of Shale. Its scary being that high on the grid!!! Shame I was battered by the same driver in the opening laps until I fell down the order, but was holding 10th/11th until I found myself being forced into a tyre marker. I then had the leaders lapping me so moved aside, but watched in "horror" as other backmarkers were deliberately getting in the way and taking out the leaders. Finished a lowly 15th I think, which is disappointing for the effort on shale this season but its been an enjoyable ride! Well done Jack, you crossed the line first, and drove a good race worthy of the win, but can't help feeling that your "friends" helped your cause As for the rest of the meeting, I feel that its just my luck to be promoted to blue then suddenly see 6-8 blues racing in each heat!! Not having the experience or luck, I just drop to the back and see what happens from there. Kings Lynn is not an easy track to get right, but several laps in each race I felt comfortable but thats racing on my own, with others I always seem to encounter the bad luck. Only 1pt scored, again disappointing, yet still strangely happy! Jnr did well to score 20 points considering he didnt even have the track installed until 7:50pm, but bemoans the new blue drivers who seem intent to destroy lower graders races - he says he will remember and won't take it lightly (Admin please note this has nothing to do with me!!!!!) Birmingham and Coventry left, but never had any kind of results here in the past, so not expecting anything here either. PS - Apologies to Spike - Didn't even realise you were there until you hit me, but I couldn't have done anything to not to be there - Sorry.

Nezza made a comment midway through the meeting about drivers being unhappy and its usually him and me moaning about it - behind the screen I was unhappy!!! How things can contrast from one week to the next is amazing - Last Week = "Superb", This Week = "Abysmal". I just don't know why I can never get some good fortune on tarmac from blue. I did all the hard work in the opening laps, only to loose out in the last 5 or so laps. And whats so frustrating is that its little errors that others make which I end up on the recieving end of and then going out of the race from a points position. I am not blaming those drivers, just bemoaning my luck Well done to Spiro - yet another blue to race against, but it will be interesting to see how he goes from the "Bruiser Blue" grade!! Heres hoping to a better meeting next week as we are back on shale

Spun in every race (except the final), but fought back to a top ten finish - Really chuffed with that. Led the final for 10 yards but always seem to do well when someone who is undergraded races or just chooses the meetings/tracks they are good at to race!!! But just having thought of missing out of a final win, I then realised if I had of won I would have been upgraded to red Anyway well done Gary, even after spinning you got it together to carry on and win. In the GN I was really pleased to have stayed ahead of TomD for several laps - Felt good Watching the replays: Jack #249 - Not your fault in that heat m8, I took to the inside and the kerb caused my spin, you didn't touch my car. Simon #31 - Really sorry you spun in the final, I pushed hard but then backed out of it when you started to spin, I then thought you were just going to pull away but you whipped the other way and around you went. Obvoiusly a good meeting as I did well, but the racing did seem very good - nice track to drive on

Nice pics Dan Always seem to find if I am in the picture, you can only just see me or I am crashing!!!!! It would be a rare photo of me actually racing someone and my car is clearly visable (and facing the right way!) lol

WD Trav - Still re-writing UK Dirt History even after nearly 10 years of racing!! Blue is alot different to yellow, and is taking alot to find my feet in this grade. With only a few yellows racing its easier to settle into a race and once you pass the whites its all about hanging on for those places, but from blue, it is pretty much "GO" from the off. I started all three heats from back blue, not by choice either, and soon found myself last in the race, but I never gave up and finsihed 9th, 9th and 13th so decent results. Consolation, I held onto 6th until just after half way, but the faster reds got by and I scored 9th again I made the final, albeit as steward lol Good race to watch, Trav was so smooth and consistant but LeeK and Southy were having a great race for 2nd. I did think Trav would pull off, yet I couldn't have guessed which one of them would have taken the lead. Mav Jnr was going well also, but in the latter stages he succumbed to the faster star drivers. Jnr finished, you guessed it 9th! I got a great break at the start of the GN, and was happy in 3rd but Dim Wit was across the track on the bend and closed the door on me when I went for the gap available. That put me last yet again, but as before, head down and go for it. I could see a group of cars all fighting ahead, Corny lost out, then Johno, then Harmen and I then found myself in amongst them. The last lap was hectic, and entering the last bend I was, yes 9th, but crossing the line I was 7th - well pleased. So even though I only scored 7 points, I am well pleased with my evenings racing, and for the quantity of cars last night it did seem a good meeting with people driving, shall we say "conservatively" making it all the better. Looking forward to next week, but back on the laptop as its tarmac - "Jnr for the Tarmac Masters!!" Look out Tom hes coming to get ya!!!

I do apologise for talking during the race and will accept any punishment given because of it. I was just VERY frustrated that during the GNC, I was repeatedly put into the fly paper even though I left room for people to pass me. I must have lost 2 laps of racing due to the wall. Its like being put into the sand at Knockhill, people moan about that and I have to say that its not required, and it does ruin your enjoyment of the meeting. Hence its two tracks I won't now race at. People tend to enjoy the meeting if they do well and score well, and I hated the meeting because I wasn't given the opportunity to "Race" and see what i could do. Heat 1, Go was called rounded the first bend tried to miss the yellows crash and ended up on the grass through no fault of my own - no one else crashed it seemed and I was then demoted to last and had no chance of getting anywhere, so gave up on the place and left. However, I was pleased I left as when I went downstairs "A League of their Own 4" had just started and that was hilarious, soon madse me forget what had gone on three hours before. Maybe I'll watch that in future instead

If any of my comments has caused concern to you Madcowie, I apologise but I can assure you that none of them were directed at you nor about your track making skills. My comments were purely on my own feelings of the way the track drives, and how I can't come to terms with being able to drive it. Too many hazards that I can, and do, fall foul of! That doesn't mean that the track has be made crap by you, you have made it as per real life and it is a very good likeness to the real thing. I would just like to see it abit easier to drive with room for error for gaming purposes, but then that would be taking it away from how it is in real life. So catch 22. Once again, sorry if my comments offended you, that was not the intention of my post.

DITTO Nezza - but you lasted longer in the meeting than I did I will never race Cowdie again, and feel similar to Southy, Tarmac is just not a raceable surface for me.
-
I agree also. Never liked this track for rfactor. I practiced here for the last meeting and was useless, so gave the meeting a miss. One factor that contributed was me trying to stay wide to allow others through, but due to the racing line being so high I was being forced onto the fence, then in an attempt to get off, I skewed across the track into oncoming traffic. I was a liability so didn't race. Although I have booked in for this meeting as its a Championship Meeting, it will depend on whether I can get a setup together and if I feel I can get round without hindering others. The track is tight enough without not having anywhere to go on the inside as well as getting stuck on the outside. I can see me giving it a miss tbh; May just do the GN race. I honestly fear for the lower graders because this track will bring the worst out of them, not through their own fault, which will give others even more reason to scream at them! I can see the top 4 being the top four at the end of the race barring pile ups!

I WAS JOKING SI!!!! I have noticed how hard you have been trying lately, using the bumper sometimes when you just need to be patient, and I had a laugh to myself when I saw you pole for the GN after having a very good run in the final. I knew you wanted the points for the NOY, exactly the same as me in the W&Y's for F1's, so I can associate with you. It had nothing to do with "Beating me" as I knew from the practice that I wasn't going to fair well, so I settled for what I could get, in fact I moved over for you in the final as there was no point in holding you up, nor any point in bumpering you back, slowing us both up! I'm sorry that you took it the wrong way, it wasn't meant to come across as an accusation. As for my eveing, it went alot better than I thought it would, so 18 Points is a massive plus on the evening Nice to see Budge back racing.
