Well Done Trav - Great Result for you!!
-
Not sure Dan but I think the points are wrong If 2 GN's are run then the points are different, according to the website. I think my points are 14 for Final but only 10 for GN not 13. Apologies if I am wrong.

I had heard on the grape vine that you wouldn't be racing Hope you are, but the way things have gone for you lately the result wouldn't be in your favour. Maybe its best I didn't say anything about you cos I am a jinx anyway!!! Good Luck if you do race Corny

Having looked at the grids prior to racing Skeg Semi, I wanted Belle Vue as it was Shale, but having seen the talent that is in that Semi, I knew I wouldn't make it through, so was mighty relieved to have been allocated Skegness Semi!!! I think, just like the real European, its going to be hard to say what the top 3 will be. Who will play fair, who will play dirty, who is going for a place, who is going "**** or bust" ??? Will Tom want Dode out of it, or will Dode want Tom out of it?? Tom has proven you can win the WF from the back after failing in the Semi. Post and wire fence makes all the difference, Skeggy armco you can bounce off, but a good hit can get you wrapped around a post and vital time will be lost trying to get out and back into the placings!!! My prediction would be (If Tom and Dode are not happy to follow each other for a one two finish) - Tosh #8, Leek #39, Matty #300 as Top 3. Tom and Dode will qualify but lower down the grid. With only 16 cars taking part (in my estimation), Big Al #515 will be joining me on the 10th row of the grid for the World Final and if he does we can race for a "Gold Star" on our aerofoil Johno who doesn't have much luck in big races, still won't have any even with me not being in it, but will qualify. Grasser, Matthew and Drum are most likely to get through from the back, with the remaining drivers battling it out with them to take those positions of them. So thats - 8, 39, 300, 233, 151, 41, 3, 1, 413, 515 But if its a boring roundy roundy race - 1, 151, 3, 39, 8, 300, 90, 41, 233, 413 (Sorry Big Al!!) Good Luck to all ps Another great write up to add to the Skegness Semi - Top stuff guys.

Reading through an old Stock Car Magazine and I can across this - Did you actually manage to do it??

Well what a meeting!!! Neither Jnr nor I knew what this meeting would hold, but one thing we agreed on was that it would most likely be disasterous for us both and that didn't go down too well with Mrs.Mav!!! For me practice was important and having obtained a workable setup, I just drove 100's of laps trying to be consistant. This proved invaluable for the meeting. Once we ran the Whites & Yellows (Results missing from the original thread Tom!!) I knew it was way better than I have ever had before and this race set my benchmark. It was great to have Big Al back at white as it gave me someone worthwhile to chase and in most races took me awhile and we fought in true Stock Car Fashion. It felt great to win and set me up nicely for the Heats. First heat I caught Jedd up near the end and was happy in 2nd, but Jedd got it wrong and I went through just as Green took over. I went wide to let Jedd at Green, as I knew he would, but Jedd took me with him into a fence post! Finished 10th. Second heat was great. First time I felt like I was actually racing like the top guys do, and when Hooty took the lead, I decided not to rush in but to follow and see if I was anywhere near at the end. Amazingly I stuck with him and Hooty obviously thought I was going in on him on the last bend and he threw it in. I wasn't going to and kept my line passing him to take the flag. Didn't realise how close Dan was to us as I was only looking forward!! Now I was mega chuffed Pleased to have been kept apart from Jnr in the heats, which meant we had no previous come the Semi, and with Jnr obtaining two seconds in his heat, it really was game on for the Semi. Jnr got the better start and was up to 7th early on, but bumpers relegated him back to 10th. He got frustrated and started using his bumper instead of his head, and once I went by he gave up and didn't recover. I found myself all alone in 10th and circulated with only one scare - Skeet hitting me hard after lapping him - not entirely sure what that was for but no matter. Finished 10th and qualified for my first online rFactor World Final In the final, hating all in's!! I was swamped early on and when Hooty spun me, all hell broke loose as I tried to get it back the right way. No sooner than I did, someone else put me round again and several drivers lost out because of this. So my sincere appologies to Southy, Big Al, Jedd and others. Unfortunately it happened again later in the race when Hooty spun and I collected him, again Big Al Sorry I finished 20th I think. GN got off to a flyer and again raced with Big Al, Jedd and Craig. Superb race between us, and for me only spoilt by Mike catching us and getting by - but 2nd was a great result in such a hectic race. Thought Big Al deserved 4th but was unlucky to be put into a parked car on the last bend by MOR. Jnr said that the GN made up for the Semi, and really enjoyed the race also. So my night was almost a repeat of the last Semi-Final meeting at Skegness in 2008. There I won a heat and GN, but failed in the Semi finishing 12th. Not improved much have I!!!! Some good racing between the lower graders, Big Al, Craig, Jnr, Jedd (when he races fairly) - most enjoyable - Well Done guys ps Simon #231, Jnr says he returned what was given, but is happy to test your back further at future meetings

Disappointed yet again!!! lol Comfortable 2nd in the GN until lap 14 and yet again for the third shale meeting in a row, the car steps out with me doing nothing different to previous laps and I loose the ground that I have gained. Limped home in 11th and no points Otherwise great to have finished a final for a change and chuffed to score 16 points in a World of Shale round. Waqar was entertaining Craig was undergraded and Tom actually beat Danskin Good stuff guys. Jnr wished he had washed his hair instead tonight, not finishing a race. He's hoping to be downgraded to have a fresh start. Simon has the PC for the semi and I have the laptop, so it will be me that struggles next week. My wife has already said she doesn't want to be a mediator after the meeting

Didn't see it Trav sorry - I was talking with Simon between races as he was watching me race all evening. If it was in Mirc chat it would have pinged at me and I would have seen it then, but race chat doesn't ping - so sorry - I would have answered one way or another! lol Yes Tosh I agree it's not a good track in any mod - and its been updated once!!

Disappointed with this meeting, as it just goes to prove that if you don't have the setup or the pace, your going to get nowhere. My apologies to Trav in Heat 1, got it wrong and put him onto the fence, but two laps later payback was served!! I didn't want to risk spinning the car round so just stayed where I was. Heat 2 and I was away. Car went off after 7 laps but 3rd backwards must have crashed as there was suddenly a gap and I survived for 3rd. Final, again 7 laps fine built up a good lead on 3rd, but as the laps ticked down the car pushed on so much I had to slow down to make the corners, and in consequence the pack just went by. I knew I would end up 11th by race end and sure enough I did. GN Can't remember apart from just going backwards and ended up last (13th). Well done to Ryano, some good place finishes for you. I do hate new drivers coming in at white, who you can see are clearly not white when the meeting unfolds, but hopefully an upgrading with a 42 points haul at the next meeting will sort that out!! Good drive tho Craig, on a difficult track Well Done Drum - makes a change not to see 236 first!!

Found the garage with the cars and coach in. Good to meet you and chat with you, think we got you out of a bit of work as your dad didn't stop at all!! Whose was the F2 we were stood next too - did mean to ask. Turned out to be a lovely sunny day, and Skipton isn't at all that bad - If you want bad you should see Grantham!!!

Jnr well chuffed at his first ever UK Dirt win Shame he wasn't in European, as the result may have been different if he had been He said the racing was good, he enjoyed it but a little unfortunate not to be in the points in his other races. Good to see their was controversy and I wasn't part of it!! Enjoyed my evening away from PC, getting ready for our weekend away at Skipton (Yes Southy coming to visit your home town!!) but I should be back next week for Sheffield. Jnr says he even may try shale, so be afraid everyone!! lol Well Done Dan, great evening for you. Hope admin are going to keep an eye on those blues from now on - constantly jumping the start
-
Hi Spike, Both Jnr and I are unable to race the meeting, hence no booking on UK Dirt Website, but we would like to race the Whites & Yellows race as this is due to race at 7:45pm. Is this OK??

Even now, I can't decide whether I should be disappointed or content with the nights racing. W&Y went well, as that was the first race to see how the setup I didn't have 40 minutes before, handled. Heats went good after that. Final, I didnt get the jump on Big Al, so we ended up fighting for the same piece of shale and in doing so, the blues were on us quickly. I battled, trying not to take back ends, but on lap 8 Davey was challenging the car infront, which forced him across the track, pushing my front end into the inner tyre, giving me a puncture. After that the car wouldn't turn in, and I tried to hold onto a top ten finish but failed. GN, I was away and comfortable, but just as at Scunthorpe, came out of a bend, no different to any other time and the back end just kept coming around. Eased off and waited for it to come back and tried to pull away slowly, but the car skewed across the track and I collected Big Al Sorry m8. After that I wasn't in the race. So disappointed or content??? Bit of both I think - lol! Well Done Waqar and Big Al, not easy for us on a tight slippy track, but a good performance.

Highlight of my F2 season so far........................Leading the 2011 UK Open Championship!!! Okay, so it was only for five seconds, but nevertheless I did manage 7 laps of battling for the lead with the World, European, British and new UK Open Champion before I was pushed wide into a spinning car. Something to be chuffed about. Finally finished in 10th place, so overall a good two nights racing. I thought yellow would be alot easier than the bruiser blues but with "Nit-Wit", "Dudd", and "Wackum" starting alongside you, its very interesting to say the least!! Each are different and trying to work out what they are going to do next takes up first half of the race but its far better than racing around on your own. Well Done Dave on running the two meetings and for winning Sunday's Final and Well Done Mike for winning the UK Open - you were very quick and consistant. Onto Buxton - Lovely!!!

You should be able to use the same activation code up to 5 times before you have to request further activations from rFactor. They recently allowed me to re-use mine after 5 previous uses. When you run the game it should ask you in the bottom corner if you already have an activation code, click that and follow the on screen instructions. If you have lost it then you can request it to be e-mailed to you. Its a swift service so you should be back racing in no time!!

Well that has ended my continuous run in the British Championship, as I still cannot get into server .45 2002 to 2009 in heat and 2009 to 2010 in rFactor - 10 British Championship races. Good Luck to all except two - Have a good night. Oh and Booking Out!!

But in my situation Corny, that I believe TomD "Deliberately & Knowingly" took me out costing me places, the F1 Discipinary team wouldn't even consider it. They would say that it was a "Racing Incident" for places, drivers both on the same lap, one just hit hard, even tho it came close to a follow in. Nevermind the fact that: a) ruined my race and put a sour twist on a great night for me b) after the race it was admitted to be "Payback" thus confirming a deliberate act. Problem is, this has happened to me twice before and all in this season. The petty incidents that occurred, none of them I feel warrented the "Payback", but I got it anyway. I have complained in the past only to be told - "You started it" & "Your not exactly a clean driver yourself", so in my case I must have started it for TomD to have done what he did in the GN. But all I did was race for a position. At the end of the day, therefore, no complaint and no punishment. One childish "Elite" driver goes home gloating, while the other "Low Grader" just wonders why they hell do they do it! I lost my position in the race and no matter what the outcome after, I will never be credited back with that position. Maybe I should just do it back "Deliberately" and run the risk, but I know I would loose out in the long run.
