  1. I agree with you Grasser, I have no problems with "Racing Incidents" and I do forget for the following week. BUT there is only so much I can take. In your statement you have accepted that when it happened to you, you moved on, but when it happened to Tom - he didn't. My racing incidents are worthy of payback it seems, therefore everytime I get into a scrape I have to pay and to me its not worth racing because of that. Last night I led every race except the final. Now if I was good enough I would have won all four races that I led, but surprise surprise I didn't. First heat Blymn got in my way twice and I lost a healthy lead, but took it as racing, never said anything and moved on. I led heat two to the last lap and tried to hold my line blocking Johno, but I hit the tyre and lost out. Third heat I spun the car all by myself therefore I pushed myself over my tolerance level. GN I led until Danskin caught me up very early, I pushed to try and stay with him until TomD did the childish move of deliberately taking me out. WHY?? well in the final Spike Jnr stopped me getting away and the blues were onto me very early on. I had to push myself to keep up and was on and over the ragged edge. I fought drivers for places, I was determined not to give in. The more I get out of my comfort zone the more I get ragged and most of the time the car goes where it wants and I just hang on.Tom came to pass me and I shut the door, he glanced off the tyres. Later he passed me but I was able to get up the inside on the corner and repass him. I was fighting to stay 8th, but knowing full well I would loose out. Tom passed and left me shortly after that. I never ruined his race with an intentional or accidental move. I felt chuffed that I had managed to stay in the top ten for the first time in a long while. Apparently because I didn't say "Sorry" for chopping Tom off and him glancing the tyre, I was due Payback. Which he duly did in the GN, taking away all my hard work of being 3rd at that point. Problem for me is this is happening regulary and being accused of bad driving and I am being taken out of races as payback. All I know is what I do is 95% not deliberate. Only thing that was deliberate from me this season was at the UK Open. I just don't know what to do, I did enjoy last night up to that point, but as I said before I don't want to race if I am going to be penalised for any incidents I get into.
  2. I think you have missed Spike Jnr's points Johno. Thanks for the meeting, best I have done at Scunny ever. Shame the adrenalin and enthusiasm for more was zapped away in the GN. Just ridiculous how lower graders ARE treated when all they are doing is TRYING. I just wish I was skilled enough to be able to drive to the superstars level, but I am not - THATS WHY I AM YELLOW AND HAVE A CRAP AVERAGE!!!!! Won't be racing at Knockhill next week, no point.
  3. In the same boat as alot of us!!! I can't do Scunthorpe very well either. My practice will be prior to the meeting tomorrow night, so i'll see what setup I have and pass it over then. My advice for Scunthorpe is "Slower is Faster" - ie don't try and go hurtling into the bends. Drive slow round the track, then after a few laps, squirt the throttle out of the bends, getting faster by a small bit each time. Eventually you will know how fast you can go before you spin. Therefore stay within that range. Lap times shouldnt be too bad then. There is a dip towards the starters rostrom which if you hit it wrong you will spin - practice avoiding it!!! Have fun!!
  4. Mav #641 - Blue (Provisional) Hopefully going to see the film "Senna" early evening so may not be back in time!
  5. A disappointing night, no ones fault, just the way things went. Was settling into a decent drive in the Irish, but came a cropper on a recovering car, tried to continue but ended in fence. Had enough room to reverse onto centre but when I accellerated the car didnt go in the direction I thought it would!!! So I must apologise to Kendo, not sure if I did take you out of 10th place, if so a double apology!! Well done to TomD, didn't think anyone would stop Dode from taking it when Dode won both of his heats. Not sure on Sunday as its Fathers Day - no idea what I will be doing, but should be there on monday. WD to Dave and Hooty for running it
  6. No nothing tactical Al, when I went for Jnr, I ended up facing the fence and as we were both chatting (well Jnr laughing at me!) I couldnt get my gears. If you watch the replay my gears change very quickly. Unfortunately I was in reverse when I booted it, thought I was in 1st to spin it around. When I realised I was going backwards i braked but momentum carried me backwards into you. I did assume that because I took so long in trying to turn round that the rest of the field had passed me and I was last anyway. Sorry I did get in your way, happy to be docked places as I was at fault. Mirrors wouldnt have helped in that situation as i was looking at what gear I was in and wondering where first actually was!!
  7. I did see the apology MoR - Thanks. The spin was in the blink of an eye and a racing incident, maybe there was less room than I thought but as I said, my race was run by then so no matter
  8. Hednesford is officially my bogey track!!!!! Dispite having my only podium finish in a final (which I should have really won!!) at Hednesford a couple of years ago, I really don't get any full race fortune here. Early race, yes but full race, no! I managed to miss the early squirmishes in my races, settle into a rhythm but the train that eventually catches me is always within the last few laps - the races are 2 laps too long!! Had decent heat finishes for me, but come the final I was chuffed to be 7th, only to get it wrong going into the last bend and Dode managed to get a hit on me, sending me into the armco. When I got out, I was a disappointing 12th. In the GN, I managed to miss a few things, but once Jnr had spun me my race went downhill from there, cumulating in MOR spinning me out when he was lapping me, thought I left enough room!! Decided to pull off rather than get in someones way when rejoining, and thus ended a disappointing night. 4 points just didnt seem to justify the effort put in! Jnr, on the other hand enjoyed the racing and picked up a few decent finishes, was unlucky in the final to spin early on, but very happy with 16pts.
  9. Mav #641 - Blue
  10. WD Dan - Congrats m8 - Drove consistant all night Really chuffed to have finished all 5 heats in the top ten, after a problematic 2 hour practice session!! A tad disappointed in the British to finish 15th from starting 15th, but it seems on the replay that I had a damaged inside rear wheel from lap 6 onwards. A good meeting, made all the better for me not annoying anyone although I do think that in the British, I contributed to Corny hitting the tyre and spinning out although I couldn't have got any further out of the way down the straight. Sorry. Well Done Johno, not easy rm'ing big meetings, but did a sterling job.
  11. A racing incident in one heat, my pedals packing in midway through the final and then giving the whites too much respect in the GN, has caused my son to show me the "LOSER" sign all morning before school today!!! Fair play to him he drove well, cracking race in the Final with Corny, just going to prove he can race fairly and enjoy it. Proud of him Me, on the other hand - Not feeling well (no excuse tho) and on the crappy laptop (now thats my excuse!), I did miles better than I ever thought. On the whole a very decent meeting just soured slightly for me by those two instances in the Final and GN. Matty, give me a break m8, when you get over forty, don't feel well, have a son out to beat you - all you want is for the night to be over so I thought rolling at 30 would quicken it up!!!! Must admit I haven't started an rFactor F1 race in a very long time and did debate prior to typing what the roll speed was. I was just going to say "Ok Roll" but plumt for 30 instead! DOH!!! I get the PC for the British, so hopefully I can get to grips with the new Kings Lynn quickly, not raced it since its been banked, and enjoy what is usually my favourite meeting.
  12. Provisional Please. Not feeling 100% and on laptop - so going for praccy now and see how I feel. Thanks.
  13. Nice poster, but should it really be a .png at 2.83mb??? A .jpg would be alot less in size and easier on the bandwidth!!!
  14. They did say you left for that reason. My error. I don't know who it was that went flat out into me after the flag then, just assumed it was you as it was a red roofed car. Sorry.
  15. Had no setup, but gradually worked on one until I was comfortable. Unfortunately I never raced it under pressure and as soon as I tried too hard it kicked to the right badly and retired from 3 out of the 4 races. I apologise to Aub #188 and Johno #632, as they had nowhere to go after I crashed and I ended their races too. I know Aub took it badly as he drilled me after the flag and before I had chance to apologise. Dropping to yellow may help, as when you start blue the reds are on you within one lap and thats pressure right from the GO. Least with yellow you have a chance to settle in first before the train catches you. Not sure about tonight as I havent raced their before and do not want to upset anyone for the third meeting running.
  16. Only was able to get to comp when I posted, so its been a bit of a rush to get there on time. .48 was setup for Superstox when I checked that server. We haven't had any practice at Cowdie so I'd rather us not race and ruin it for others as track is so tight. Thanks for the offers
  17. We cant get into server .45 (never have been able to) therefore we have had no online practice nor been able to see if we have the right track etc. Please cancel both of us for tonight. Not happy chappy as its a w&y round!
  18. I am only provisional as we have a guest staying at present, but Mav_Jnr #285 should be able to race - so booking request for him please.
  19. There is a possibility I might not make it tonight - so can you make my booking provisional please. I have no setup time as yet, so even if I make last throws of praccy, I may still not race. Cheers Mav.
  20. I will say the exact same words (differnet driver for me though) - sums up my night also Hooty, and agree with some of Aubs post too. Not an enjoyable night. Warp & cheap shots got my goat so I lost it in the Final and UK Open when I did have a chance of a decent finish in both taken away from me. Jnr had had enough after Consolation, he apologises for his error, he still doesnt know how it happened. Had to coax him back to do the UK Open, then he wishes he had gone to bed because it was rubbish he said. Putting it all down to experience and moving on. WD MOR, pleased you won it
  21. Me too. they really aint got a clue and theres no point racing till the reds have been thinned out about its just not fun. i think we all know tho who causes the most issues cause he does it in f1s and f2s. Wasn't aware that Waqar was red Aub?? I don't mind the reds squabbling as it gives me a chance to settle into the race, but I have to hang on at the end when they finally catch up!!!!
  22. Mav_Jnr #285 - Yellow Depends on how laptop performs and how Jnr performs on wed night!
  23. Mav_Jnr #285 - Yellow Please
