F1 Sim-Stox Christmas Cracker Open Event 2012
Grasser233 replied to jack-249's topic in F1 (rFactor)
As much as I hate to do this and give up my beloved #33, book me out please. My bust up hand hasn't healed up enough to race unfortunately -
F2's will run on Mondays when the Superstox winter league finishes so you'll be as well painting them anyway....
-
No, that is all you need. If you ever do an F2, it has to be black numbers on a white background/border.
-
There are no number rules in F1 as long as it's legible,

UKDirt are proud to present the 2013 NZ Superstocks Winter League Info As has become tradition in UKDirt, we will be running a winter series using the popular Kiwi Superstocks mod for rFactor. Rules and downloads for the mod are available HERE. To be eligible to enter, you must first be a paid member of UKDirt. If you are new to the league, we currently have a offer going with the Superstox Winter Series in which you get a full years membership for the reduced price of only £10 if you participate. See the Superstox section of the forum for details. The league will use the real skins/drivers provided in the mod, please choose a driver if you haven't already HERE The league will also use a fixed setup for each meeting (as the Grasstrack Fives used), so you can pretty much turn up and race without having to worry about setups. Championship Format All individual meetings will run the same format other than the World 240. Team event format will be posted on a seperate thread. World 240 Event qualification will be as follows: 2 invitational places, I will be contacting Sim Racing NZ to see if they are interested. Top 22 in points automatically through. Winner of any final (excluding team event) leading up to the 240 will automatically qualify as well. Top 2 places from the non qualifiers consolation race on the night. This will make a 26 car entry, This is then run over 3 races to determine the winner. Fixtures Meetings will be run on Thursdays, and will be 8.00pm start time. Please note that this is slightly earlier start time than normal! 3rd Jan: South Island Championships (Woodford Glen) 10 Jan: North Island Championship (Wanganui, Ocean View Raceway) 17th Jan: Team Event (Track TBA) 24th Jan: New Zealand Championships (Nelson) 31st Jan: World 240 Invitation Superstock Champs (Rotarua) 7th Feb: Superstocks Teams Championships (Palmerston North) 14th Feb: UK Championship (Coventry) *subject to change Thanks Grasser233

You'll be glad to hear that NZ Superstocks shall be returning this winter, I'll be looking to run a short series during January/Feb leading up to the start of the F1 season. More details will follow towards the end of December once I've worked it all out but there will be a Teams event along with the World 240 as per previous years. The series will be open to paid UKDirt members only. In the meantime, I've opened up the driver list to get a bit of interest going. The mod is available HERE Drivers List is HERE I highly recommend a seperate install of rFactor when installing this mod. Also, If you are runnning Vista or Win7, you will have to point the installer to your rFactor folder in Program Files (X86). Cheers Grasser

F1 Sim-Stox Christmas Cracker Open Event 2012
Grasser233 replied to jack-249's topic in F1 (rFactor)
Grasser booking in. I'm blue atm. #33 Peter Falding (First choice) #84 Tom Harris #53 John Lund -
I'd also like to add my congratulations to Dan for winning the Silver and also to Tom for a valiant defence of his roof by taking to the very last meeting. Having been in the position myself in the past, I know what goes into a full season with it going to the very end and both drivers deserve a lot of credit for their efforts this season. Cheers Grasser

I think he is referring to the final rather than GN2.

Some very good racing tonight and really enjoyed it, I can only race F2's when I get the chance and it was good to be racing again on the shale which I always prefer. Driving standards in general is very good indeed on tonight's showing. Had some good runs in the heats, got caught in the pileup up early in the final but happy to recover to 6th and a excellent race in the GN with Southy... I made my move to try and get the break but #237 was on the racing line for us unfortunately, I'd rather used up all my rear tyre in the run to the end of the race after that so couldn't quite get the last bender but a great race all the way through. WD Hoggy and all the race winners!

I use a G25 which is a dearer wheel, do a google search and have a look around yourself at some different options. It's down to you at the end of the day. It has gear shifters behind the wheel if that's what you mean. You're meant to use the pedals!
