Yer, Happy New Year! No hangover for me Had to stay in with a poorly 'er indoors. Hopefuly the NHS can actualy make up their minds and decide whats wrong with her, I think shes from the wrong ethnic group for her to get a quick proper diagnosis, I mean she was only born in this country and can only speak English, not Kosovan/Bosnian/Afghan etc, and shes not from Lesbania, so shes realy got the odds stacked against her. The ' big deal' is A) I dont appreciate someone pm'ing me and blatantly lying to me* B) look at all the ' fools' that have been allowed to use his previous account to post on here. Hes already been banned once, so hes then gone on and set up another account to race with, so why the need for yet another account? Surely you can only use ONE registered account to race with, so why need two? Does he intend to race under two seperate numbers or has he got bad amnesia and completely forgotten that hes already registered. * People that lie do so for one reason only.....................TO COVER UP for something.

Just an observation, but how many accounts does Erik require? 1) Erik ( banned- wonder why ) 2) XJ40 ( in use ) 3) Erik192 ( account pending )

1. Looks like it says " Vorthern Steam" as hes cut the edge of the N off whilst resizing the font, so thats something to look out for when painting skins. 2. Personaly I wouldve used a handwritten type font as ' old skool' cars rarely had minted airbrush type sign writing. It was all done with some trusty gloss and a Jewsons paint brush ( B & Q, Homebase wernt even thought of back then). 3. FBF's right, Wasted is new skool, not old skool, Blitz! , 3Litre or Unlimited wouldve been better mag choices. Apart from that, looks OK to me. And maybe a MK1 Granny wouldve been a better choice of old skool car.

Good job I did though, as some scum sucking, amoeba, low down pondlife has hacked my ' Mcrew ' account and changed the password, so Im now completely locked out Somebody tried to hack it a few weeks back, so I changed the P/W etc etc, but this time they managed it! Is it possible for an admin member to either reset a password, if so could they kindly do that for me, or if not, can they just delete my ' Mcrew' account completely and I'll just stick to this one? Thanks, and sorry for being a pain. And if you find out who hacked my other account, can you castrate them as some for of punishment? No harm in wishfull thinking now is there

Ive had problems regarding registration, so I tried to open another account through a secondary email addy that I have. I got a message telling me that the forum/site was currently switching server and that any problems encountered would be due to this.

I managed to connect today at work on my old pc with dial-up, yet tonight, I havent been able to connect till now, 9.00pm, and thats with broadband ?

I havent been able to get on all day up until a few minutes ago.

I have just downloaded the ' middle_set up' and ' allround_set up' files from the files manager. What program do I open them with, or if I have to install them to get them to work, here do I have to install them? Should have added that the files are for the car setups.

oh yes. I just tried to repaint the original file that cunny had put there. Once saved, I could then not convert it, exactly the same as I can not convert any files of my own that I have painted. Well I dont know what I have done, but I just switched off my pc and switched it back on again, tried it and now it bleedin works! Thanks to everyone thats given me advise, I should be OK now...............until I switch my pc off!

Its got to be somthing wrong with my paint package. If I run cunnys program, I can convert the tga file that he had in the conversion folder. If I try to convert any skins that I have saved, it just tells me C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\tga_2_tex\tga 2 tex>mktex car18.tga car18.tex No mapfile present Unsupported image type 10 C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\tga_2_tex\tga 2 tex> I have tried this with cunnys original tga in the file, and with it deleted.

Thanks for the replies. Ive have done eactly as you have said, and when I run the command now, it tells me that it cannot open the tga file. C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\mktex>mktex car18.tga car18.tex can't open tga file: car18.tga C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\mktex> I have even tried saving the file as a photoshop, PSP and a photosuite file .

I have been having the same problem, in that the black window opens for a split secon and then shuts again. Congratulations on the healthy baby, and I can relate to the valuable computer time that little 'uns take up. BTW, I hate to tell you, but it dosnt just stop with computer time. Having alittle 'un would explain my reluctance to partake in any early start race series, as my pc happens to share a room with a baby that dosent like to go to sleep until 7-7.30 ish in the evenings Have a happy Xmas with your early prezzie!

More wishful thinking than a reality, but what about making a mid 80's version of the old Newton Abbot track, that had a bit of everything. The pit gate was wire ( great for the bangers), the crowd straight was steel plated, with a nasty little bit that stuck out towards the Newton bend, that, if you clipped it, it would send the rear of your car flying out towards the centre green, both bends where steel plated, the start finish straight/horse track side was post and wire ( for some great wrecking in the bangers) and it had a concrete fig of eight crossover. They had concrete/stone kerbing around the inside the bends, that if I remember rightly, people used to use to cut the corners, so they ended up part burying tyres, which if you hit, would either send you straight back into oncoming traffic, or would spectacularly launch you in the air and or damage your suspension. Maybe I should just stop fantasizing and go take some lessons in modeling and try it for myself!
