  1. Ta mate!
  2. The front wings, front panel and bonnet are different, as well as the boot the back panel and rear quarters are also different. On Mk1's the boot is made up out of most of the back panel, with the rear lights sitting in a small part of the back panel/rear quarter panels. Technicaly the diff housing as well as the swinging arms are different, as to run MK2 rims, you have to run MK2 swinging arms, else the inside of the rear tyres rubs on the shock absorbers ( just incase you ever get lucky to race one in real life). For it to look right, the car would have to be completely re-modeled. If any-one was going to go to the trouble, would it not be better to make a Mk1 trummy estate, as that would look miles different to the MK2 saloon that we currently have ? ( hint, hint)

  5. I'll have a go at these on Monday nights. Mcrew #18 please. Cant guarantee that I wont be scraping the odd door handle here and there though......
  6. Someones just posted on Ovalshat that Spedeworth have put a stop on any Spedeworth meetings at Ringwood for this year! Can Trojan realy have their foot in the door at Matchams?
  7. Happy Birthday Scrappy!
  8. From what I remember, Trojan where/are a bunch of messers, promising various meetings at several different tracks, but nowt became of it. If they have taken over it, that probably spells the end for oval racing there as we have come to know it.
  9. Happy Birthday OLD chap! I hope you have a good one Steve.
  10. You shouldve joined us all racing mate, some of the guys even held a party for you in chat.....
  11. I would say, without aiming to rock the boat or name a select few, that it is more down to the attitude of a couple of the more experienced drivers, than basic set ups, or lack of them. I have only done ONE solitary practise session in the F2's and I had more PMs about my alleged driving standards, than Ive had for the whole 10 months that Ive been racing ssc'c & Rods ( on and off) and bangers full time, not only with UK dirt, but with TNB, MNB and WNB Without blowing my own trumpet, I will say that when I have raced rods and tried my hand with F2s, I have adopted a different and more calmer attitude than I use when racing bangers, and have tried to drive with far more awareness for others on the track. Even though I didnt drive flat out into people and try to bury them in the fence, right turn them, or just drive like my more mentalist self, I was still accused of trying to wipe out a red top, when all I did was clip his bumper as I went wide to allow him to pass and he decided to go wide and pass me, and I was accused of oppo, when in reality some tit spun me out, and then reckoned that I tried to do him on oppo, when all I was trying to do was get myself facing in the right direction. If you have asses like this moaning at you in practise, how picky must they be in a meeting, in which the cars you use have bumpers for some small amount of contact? No wonder theres " a bit of tension". TBH I feel sorry for anyone attempting to start the mod with little or very no experiance. Im afraid to say that the one practise session was more than enough for me and I have never since tried F2s. I would probably be just as crap at them as I am at bangers, but it would have been another person getting some enjoyment from the form of sport that we allegedly all love. Ta, Mcrew, a budding F2 champ with his career cut tragicaly short.............NOT!
  12. Bath a Hippy day Rik! Have a good one mate, and if your racing tonight, I'll give you your bumps then!

    Banger Skin

How quickly do you need it doing? If you can wait till the weekend I will see what I can do mate.
  14. That reminds me of a field that we raced in years ago with a dirt club. I was one of the first ones to go out on practise, and I was told to follow the marker tyres round the track, then go wider and wider still on the next few laps to try and help clear the grass/foilage/bushes. It was like driving through a ruddy jungle as the green stuff was well over the hight of the bonnet, the field mustve been left unused for years.
  15. That copper sure is a crap shot with a 12 gauge Im damn sure that the driver wouldve been dead if I had shot at him at such a close range!
  16. The car.........or Rodder?!
  17. Well smart Rodder!
  18. The idea of using a seatbelt to keep your seat upright dates back from many years gone by ( or last year if your Spedeworth registered ) before the use of H frames was compulsory. Not only was it useful for keeping your seat upright, but it aided you in leaping out through the hole left by the windscreen, in the event of a quick bale out and it was also handy for tying your fire extinguisher to.
  19. Youve got it mate, Bailer twine, the easy way of armouring for the 21st century...... And you cant beat a couple of rolls of duct tape thrown in for good measure.
  20. I havent got a clue what your on about Rik........ Nemesis knows better than to think that I would do that to a car dont you mate?
  21. Pfft, they didnt come with rear discs either.....
  22. Happy Birthday Steve! Hope you have a good one mate.
  23. Who ever did that deserves a big kick in the nuts for mullering a perfectly good MK10! A mk2 wouldve been OK tho.
  24. Have a good one Nick.
