  5. a rubbish connection usually throws you out. With modern computers there are often many background processes dragging down your connection speed. Try running enditall and adaware available on the ukdirt website.

    Skin Uploading

On the website www.ukdirt.co.uk under member options there is a tab that allows you to select your mod and class and then upload your zipped tex file. If that doesn't work then attach it to a post on this forum in the thread relevant to the meeting you wish to race at.
  11. I know nothing about any of the issues involved but would just like to say good luck with the move and the contract, hope you enjoy your time over here and get to see some good uk racing.
  12. Thanks people. Barbeque on Sunday, i've sourced a load of very big prawns (5 to a kg!) so it should be a tasty eat.
  13. In fairness to vosa about the one thing they coudn't check at a track is vehicle weight as there's no weighbridge + you can't be overloaded on private property, like all defects its only an offence when the vehicle is operated on a public highway. Another point to consider is that you are not technically guilty of being overweight until your journey passes a public weighbridge. If you started your journey unsure of your weight then by law you can drive to your closest public weighbridge and if you find you are overweight then you could remove the excess weight before continuing your journey and no offence would be committed. For this reason its fairly rare for VOSA to prosecute for weight, they are much more focused on dangerous loads and visible defects that a driver should spot during his daily walk around check. That and red deisel and dodgy tachos of course.
  14. VOSA pulled our fully charged tanker trailer and gave it a suspended PG9 for an ABS warning light being on, then let it go! We were left scratching our heads trying to work out if it was legal or not. Surely a brake system issue is an immediate stop! So we ran it to the disposal site and discharged the load then back to base for repair. We then couldn't get a slot at VOSA Mitcham for a week to get the suspended PG9 cleared. They advised us on the phone that so long as we'd fixed it it was fine to use until they saw it. They the saw it and weren't happy and rebooked it for the following day again allowing us to drive it. Finally they lifted the suspension. At which point it was legal or illegal is anyones guess, its all open to interpretation by whichever examiner sees it!
  15. Good Luck Spud! All eyes on the all jag race, there will be a very nice motor out by all accounts!
  16. VOSA have a go anywhere right pretty much. Only good thing is that if they found defects they wouldn't fine people as there trucks were off road at the time. The trucks would mostly be unloaded too. They'd still PG9 them though meaning they couldn't be driven on road until fixed. Either way there's no need for VOSA to be targetting racers, plenty of cowboys out there on the motorways to play with.
  17. I can only suggest deleting out the track from run folder then reinstalling it from the X tracks section of Ukdirt.co.uk It may also be a res issue in which case rename your current ukdirtbanger folder and re-install the game. make sure you're running it all as administrator too.
  18. Is that all you get on the crash log? You normally get a Panic!! message further down; ====================================================================== Panic! blah blah blah blah blah blah blah etc ====================================================================== That will contain the reason your game crashed.

Nice smart prep there Ernie. The crab is a cool find, i remember hitching a lift in one years back, two young lads that cheerfully informed me they had no licence, insurance or brakes, and drove like loonies yanking the handbrake and grinning and saying things like "that was close". Ah happy days

    BRAIN DESTROYED!!

It may also be that you have the track but its not installed on your ukdirtbanger mod, use this launch manager to check which tracks you have and to select the ones you need. You have to be very accurate as there are many variations of each track for instance for bristol there is; Bristol - the original Nascar Heat American trac Bristol_uk - the anticlockwise uk version for racing F1's and F2's Bristol_uk_r - the high grip clockwise (r = reverse) uk version for rods Bristol_uk_rx - the low grip clockwise uk version for bangers Bristol_uk_rb - an experimental version from another mod This year in bangers we are using RX versions of all the tracks. Next weeks track is Sheffield_rx You can find it at www.ukdirt.co.uk then Downloads/Nascar Heat/Track Downloads/X Tracks I think the mod now has a track manager built into it or you can use this launch manager from the blackhole motorsports website NH_ML_2_1_6_SAKE.zip

    Bilge Alert

Lo all, been a while since i posted here, thabks for bumping up with some nice photos of your sierra Ernie, any plans to build another? So on the bilge front i've been punting a polo around for a couple of weeks. I built it for the micro meet at Aldershot on 16th May but Spedeworth cancelled as only 4 cars were booked in. So I ran it at the regular rookie meet 9 days ago and scored 2 4th places before rolling and catching fire in the final. Got it running again and took it rookie built to Arlington yesterday for the u1400 team meet racing with the infamous Firestorm. Had a good time but I was bouncing off the limiter on the straight so I buried it in the back of Bodja and a few seconds later his team mate Dan Weekes killed it Met Bobbert there was good to meet you mate
  24. Lets not forget Marcy#133 racing some rated tin as well! How are you today Knobby? If any of you are at Arlington tomorrow i'm in the griff built polo # 42 racing for Team Storm, come say hello
