    Bilge Alert

sitting in the mighty micra at wimbledon recently waiting for the final to start my wife rang so i thought i'd take a snap whilst i had the phone out - super bilge alert, surrounded by the stuff!
  2. Hi all I've run a job up on oval chat forum. I'm linking it here as i know its a decent job and i'm sure some of you know class 1 /2 drivers or deisel fitters looking for a decent job in these troubled times. Post one reads "Bit of a long shot this, but we're looking for 2 -3 new staff to operate 26 - 32 tonne specialist Jet Vac and Combination Tanker trucks units in the Croydon area. I'm posting this as many of you will have class 2 licenses, and may be looking for work in these troubled times. Responding to emergencies and completing scheduled jobs this role entails driving to various locations and using very well specced trucks to remove liquid and solid waste from a variety of environments. Full training is given, you must have a class 2 license (class one an advantage), be capable of physical work and looking for full time permanant work. The potential earnings are very good, lots of overtime available at time and a half, we're very busy pumping out flooded sites, Global warming is helping us lol! pm me for more information, forum admin please contact me if you have any concerns regarding this post. " Post 2 reads "Ok a bit more general information for you. The company is www.hydro-cleansing.com Lots of info on the website about our range of services. We have 10 class 2 tankers and a class 1, a few 3.5 ton vans. Primarily we pump waste water and sewage from a variety of places, from regular emtpying of cesspits, to flooded basements, loading bays, lift shafts. We clear out soakaways and gully's unblock main drains, empty interceptors, do cctv work to unblock sewers, fit and maintain pumps along with a whole variety of other related activities. Role advertised is drive to locations and operate the trucks plant to complete the job, full PPE, training and tools supplied. You need to be healthy, available and decent. The earnings are good as we're fairly specialised, lots of overtime available, we can get dispensation from WTD as we're an emergency service. Normal hours 7am to 5pm m-f but usual driving job hours variation applies. Positions are full time and permanent. 25k basic after training, OTE up to 40k if you want to do the hours. I'm the transport manager, not some poxy employment agency. Call the number on the website tomorrow 8am to 5pm or same hours next week and ask for me, Toby. Fitters job is in our fully equiped workshop, some shift working may be necesary, i don't know the salary atm, call me for more info as above, it's working with an ex-volvo fitter, carrying out routine maintenance, servicing and defect rectification on our fleet of Trucks, Vans and Cars. I'm posting here as a couple of us race bangers and i wanted to give you lads 1st crack at it."
  3. He's signed up for the WRC or IRC for 2010, don't remember which, but will be good to see how he cuts it with the european drivers

    Bilge Alert

Race on Sunday, work on Monday..... As for saving Mk2's for nationals, most of the rated drivers would rather use a mondeo, look at the PRI world for instance.... Bombers are what banger racing was a few years back, some drivers took wrecks home but a lot didn't. Perhaps the ORC should look at introducing a US style demolition series, where lots of strengthening is allowed and the emphasis is on destroying everyone else.

    Bilge Alert

Was good after all, stalled heat 1 around lap 10 and couldn't restart as battery was flat, semi blew up as too hot around lap 13 in heat 2 and finished the Final 8th, not bad for a 1.0 ltr micra with a slipping clutch against a bunch of wizzy honda's and rover's. Only damage was a puncture and a few scratches mostly cos i couldn't catch anyone to hit! As Allstar says how'd you n Knobster get on?

    Bilge Alert

Looks like i wont make it now due to a dodgy clutch in Pauls Transit, hoping to still scratch into wimbo for the evening meet tho, good luck Magic and Knobster!

  11. For that beauty of a limo there were a couple of them at a Firecracker a few years back, the Gypsy Crew version and Boris 575 versions were spectacular. Check out this website http://www.atozofbangerracing.co.uk/ as a good starting point, scroll down the left hand side to find the caddy section.
  12. looks like my "improvements to 09 season" wish is coming tru, welcome bk old timers
  13. Looking at the post 5-6 below this one "problem after putting in new tex" you may have entered the chassis name incorrectly.
  14. Great stuff Swindy, even better if you raced Tuesdays, I'll shout yr Jolt fee if you want m8! I think Shandy meant "Please program the physics realistically so that UkDirt admin will include the omega with the Unlims and allow us to race it" and Stig meant "Thanks for helping UkDirt to represent real life Unlimited Banger Racing events, where any heavy RWD car has a place!" missin ya xTx
