  2. Hi Guys, Just a quick reminder; you may want to double check you have Kings Lynn v1.0 rather than the beta v0.5 that we ran last season, else you will get mismatches in the server tonight and won't be able to take part. There is a simple way to check you have the right one: Boot up rFactor and check your track list has Kings Lynn R - if it only has the anticlockwise version, you need to update! If you have both, your fine! >>>>>GRAB IT HERE<<<<< See you out on track MoR
  3. ^^^^^ best commentary ever
  4. I thought it was a cracking hit (a brave one too, even if may not have been the 'cleanest') to go with other cracking fwj hits in that race and that's how he won it - its stock cars, it was last bend, and it was the best race of the night.
  5. Smithy floored it on the centre and gained tons to places compared to how many fwj got on that occasion...... but as has been mentioned, fwj's no angel on previous occasions......Bring back gold and silver starting at the back i say; they missed a trick Saturday night, imagine if the two of em got into a bumper battle in that race, would've been immense the way they were both going for it in the heats.
  6. Excellent stuff chaps, a great read, much easier to digest than the old magazine we used to put out! One thing - Skeggy doesn't have night time lights (well, it has one but that's placed randomly) because we didn't get them into the Beta - you can still see where your going but it may not be the best indication of if it works or not, cause you haven't got 9 or 10 lights casting, just the one.
  7. Thought it was a corker myself, had some great races over the night, and 3 of them finished with last benders, so its all good! Even got to witness Trav's 'do or die' last bender on Dode and Walker in Heat 3 which was great to watch whilst spectator! Really enjoyed the track, wasn't quite on pace so was having to really rag it round but that only added to the experience for me! Well done Kruiz on the final and top scoring. Thanks for the meeting Kev!
  8. Forgot to mention, well done Walker on your final win, I knew it would be on it's way you've been extremely consistent at the front end of the results so far this season, twas only a matter of time!
  9. Thanks Spike and Kev for the meeting, I really enjoyed it, had some excellent races over the course of the night with the usual lot who just turn up and get on with it. However, one thing spoilt the meeting big time, and that was all the girly whining in the chatbox, i've never seen so much of it in a meeting before. Absolutely pathetic most of it. 'Utter crap driving standards' were only fuelled by the constant moaning and hypocritical revenge attempts. Hopefully it hasn't put too many people off, because I am looking forward to the racing next week.
  10. Great pics Tosh!
  11. Thanks for the meeting Johno/Kev. Had a really good start to the season myself, with my best finishes yet on the new wheel although I feel like I used up a seasons worth of luck in just one night lol! I was quite unprepared last night, spent half 7 til 8 trying out other tar setups until I found a good one to work from, and then at 8, when I was going to start tweaking, I remembered it started at 8! DOH! Had some great races with Marten, JK and Sybe last night, fantastic stuff and certainly wet my appetite for next weeks shale marathon! Well done Lee.
  12. MoR#137 Booking in please
  13. Thanks for all the excellent work Kev! I remember after the downtime we had over at racesimcentral you kindly stepped in with what we thought was a temporary forum, and look what a beast it has become! Over those 4 years its ran brilliantly, hosted some great features and very very rarely had any technical hitches/downtime! And thanks for the admin work as well; in my years as an F1 admin, you were always the firm foundations of the team and always there to help, especially when I was messing up with points calculations in some of my first (and last) RMing meetings! Thanks again!
  14. Congrats Dave and Tracey and good luck
  15. Happy Birthday mate, soon be potty training.
  16. I use the paddles too, but I keep the gearstick module out of the way cause it has plenty of buttons on it to assign different things to like toggling between race positions, car status, quickchat messages (the obligatory 'sorry') and stuff, which can be quite helpful. I would assign race pos/car status to the two buttons the wheel but I use them for look left/look right which is essential for getting out of the pits (esp at NIR).
  17. Here's my setup - complete with my after-race stress ball! It looks a bit tight, tall and dark in the photo but its quite nice really, nice and cosy and ideal for my needs. Got a little mod on my keyboard tray to stop it sliding in when I've got my wheel on it. Just stuck a fancy new graphics card in my pc last week which should mean I won't have to change my monitor back to the 17 inch CRT (my old card couldn't run rfactor very well on the 22"), which would've been embarrassing if I had to post that up in my photo! Lol! Only thing I want to sort out for racing is my chair - the one I have is a big leather thing on wheels (obviously not ideal, rolling back every time I stamp on the brake pedal!) which is way too comfy to give up, and I don't have room to store a wheel-less chair when I'm not racing, so I'm going to have to put some wedges behind my wheels I think! Lol.
  18. Thanks all, I'm glad you like the look of it so far and I hope you aren't disappointed when it is released! I'm really pleased with how it looking at the moment and it seems to drive very nice as well! Cheers for asking me for the interview Dazza, I enjoyed doing it! I reckon someone must've sabotaged the camera man's pictures as they didn't look like that when I saw them lol! Maybe the original ones might appear somewhere in the coming weeks....
  19. Cracking Pictures Tosh, ta for providing them over the series, great stuff!
  20. You obviously have a shorter memory than me Kruiz - you've been a marked man ever since the Trust Fund and CoC races back in November
  21. Excellent stuff! I missed the magazine last year so its good to see it back in the form of the newsletter! Looks like it will be an excellent season, you guys have really mixed it up this year! The National Series sounds great and the average format sounds very interesting! Really looking forward to it now! Keep up the good work!
  22. MoR137 booking in for Thursday
  23. All 3 UKDirt Servers now updated with the new version of Kings Lynn. I wish the weekend would come around this quick all the time......
  24. Hello, This is completely boring and uninteresting, but it has to be done. It's been 10 months now since I released Kings Lynn in its beta V0.5 form, and thankfully it has worked really well, so now is the time for a V1.0 release, not just to UKDirt/Simstox but also to the folk over at rFactorCentral. So what's new? Well, nothing much really. There was one bug with the old one where AI cars passed through the marker tyres halfway around the bends, so that is now fixed. There's some new loading screens to differentiate it from the old one and an R version for those that enjoy the saloon mod. So like I say, nothing drastic, but you do need to get it to avoid mismatches. IMPORTANT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (if you have Kings Lynn v0.5 installed). 1 - Delete the KingsLynn folder from C:\Program Files\rFactor\GameData\Locations 2 - Delete the file KingsLynn.hat from C:\Program Files\rFactor\UserData\LOG\HAT 3 - Run the installer. 4 - Enjoy >>>>CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD<<<< Special thanks to Drumbstick for doing his half of the fixes MoR PS - The UKDirt server will be updated with the new track at the weekend - admin will let you know when its all ready to go!
  25. Walker - keep your skin as 2048 x 1024 rather than 1024 x 512. The guide does say the latter but that written at the start of the season when I was doing skinpacks and wanted skins in at a smaller size to reduce skinpack size and hopefully help the game run a bit smoother. However, whilst it did reduce the size of the skins it needed to load, the blurry skins were deemed unpopular so we just use 2048 x 1024. If a UKDirt admin is reading this it might be worth updating the website - thanks for inadvertently finding it Walker lol!
