Just to point out that speedtest.net doesn't give a true reading of your coonection speed. You are better off using http://speedtester.bt.com/ (you will need your ISP username) or the one at namesco http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/

why not just press the windows icon key on your keyboard? Does the same as alt+tab

I am with pipex up to 8meg broadband. Usually connect at around 6meg. I have my desktop connected to my router via an ethernet cable. My laptop however is wireless and I am able to race online and host 11 car races with no problems whatsoever. It isn't the actual wireless that causes problems with online racing. As long as you have a good line speed and a modern machine then wireless is absolutely fine.

Also whilst on the homehub topic, my broadband is serposed to be 8 meg how ever it is dead slow (I use the ethernet conection not the wireless) the hub manager says my Downstream is 1,500 kbps (was as low as 224 highest was 3,000) and my upstream is allways 448 kbps. Im not sure but isint the Downstream serposed 2 be around 7,500 kbps as I am on 8 meg ? Again any help would be great. You will probably find it says 'up to 8 Meg'. Your connection speed will depend on the quality of your phone line, how far away you are from the supplying exchange and how many other people are connecting through that exchange.

It's also a bad idea as media player retrieves album information from the net on the songs you are listening to. This downlaod of info could possible cause warp in the game if online? There is a way to change the ingame music, I did it a while back and removed mouldy old dough and put in the old arena bangers theme, i will try and remember how id id it, it is a little technical lol

Although I have wireless, I always use my desktop for racing, as that is connected through the ethernet cable. I tried it on the laptop but it ran a little slower. Well I have been with pipex since tuesday now, not overly impressed so far, signed up to 8MB, was told my line could handle that, but only getting just under 2MB! I know I have the 7-10 day speed check thing, but kind ofg expected more from a company that has been around a while and specialise in this field.
