  1. Lately I have been seeing a lot of duplicate accounts being registered on this forum. Seemingly this is just for a nickname or email address change. If you wish to change your forum nickname or email address registered to your account then drop me a PM and I can change this for you. There is no need to go creating another account just for that.

     

    On the other hand if you have forgotten your Password then this is NOT something I can sort for you. There is a password retrieval feature on the login page and you should be able to use that to sort your password out.

    If you wish to change your forum name then PM me with the details and I can change it for you. As for editing signatures.. Click on My Controls then scroll down the left side to the Personal Profile section, in that section you will find Edit Signature.

  3. Try right clicking on the rFactor icon and then run as administrator, that should create the folder.

     

    As Tom says if you click on documents in Computer there will probably be a folder in there called rFactor and then inside that your userdata folder

    Success , just ran it as administrator and that created the folder where it should be.

     

    Presume I dont have to run it as Administrator any more ?

    Settings is your setup folder. Within that Settings folder there will be individual folders for each track where the setups for each track live. If you mean the F2 setups zip that was included at one point it is called F2 Stockcar, within that was about 15 F2 setups for various things.

    Havnt got any here but I do the following based on a template that I have doubled the standard size of.

     

    Select the panles you are outlining with the Wand Tool (Photoshop)

    Contract the selection by 12 px (at double submitted skin size)

    Then smooth by 10px,

    Then smooth by 10px again

    Flood fill the selection white

    Then contract by 1 px

    Then click delete and you should be left with outlines.

     

    You can do this for all panels in 1 go if you select all panels with the wand tool.

    the system is windows xp

    and the graphics card is nvidia 9500 gt.

    ive done a re-install of heat by the instructions on site.

    someone did say on the facebook page that there was some tool or something that helps with high resolution screens.

    i have a 22inch flat screen monitor.

    the game installed and mods installed good. when i go into game i use f1 f2 f3 but i can only see my car ok with view f4 any other view i get these spikes of multicolour run across my screen

    from the top left corner down to the bottom right corner completely block sight of the car and track....its obviously a graphics issue but i dont know how to cure it

    i have updated my card drivers.....am at a bit of a loss now....one of the reasons i came to dirt was for the bangers and i cannot get it to run....

    must be a fix somewhere as people are running it.....

     

    There is something called Nascar Heat UI Control Center which I think you should still be able to find online somewhere to download which allows you to change the in game resolution beyond the standard ones that are shown within game. This 'might' be worth a try as the resolution options given in game are limited in todays market.

     

    Also have you tried changing the graphics settings in game to minimum and maximum to see if the issues is the same there and also try the various resolution options in there also.

    This is a a different situation to the other 'Open' meetings really are Open whereas this one well....isn't really an open as its closed to non members ;)

    but whenever i look these servers are not up and running...

    can someone point me in the right direction please.

    If you are talking Heat servers then they tend to be on all the time. rFactor ones will usually be on most days apart from a Tuesday when Bangers run on Heat so we close them for that.

    Installed NHeat ok on one PC with no cd patch then tried to install on downstairs PC.

     

    This time it crashes when trying single Nascar race and brings up this fault....

    That the whole crash log? If so id try reinstalling 1.72e patch and nocd patch again. If theres more to the crash log then post the rest up please.

  11. Tonight's UKDirt Saloon meeting will be held at Barford, where we will be racing for the Champion of Champions title.. This is the last Saloon meeting of the 2012 season! We currently have 14 drivers booked and will be running ALL IN!

     

    Meeting Information

     

    Champion of Champions (Based on race winners table)

    4 Heats

    1 Allcomers

     

    Chat

    CoC: 20,18,16,14,12,10,8,6,4,2

    Heats: 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1

    Start Procedure

     

    The starting procedure used for all races is as follows unless otherwise stated:

     

    When the lights go green (or the final buzzer has gone and countdown timer completed) drivers will make there way at a speed of less then 20mph to their starting position, as listed below and line up 2-a-breast. You must not pass drivers

    of your own grade. You must line up correctly without making contact with other cars, incidents will be dealt with the same way as if it were part of the race. Previous race winners during the meeting must start at the back of the grade.

     

    Once drivers are in position the steward will ask if anyone is not ready. If nobody replies, 'Roll at 20' is called and the leader of the whites will roll at a steady 20mph for the rolling lap. Drivers at the front of each grade are to

    drive at approx. 20mph but ensure they keep their 4 to 6 cars distance to the grade in front. Anytime after the leading white reaches the apex of turns 3 & 4 the steward will call 'GO GO GO' and the race will be on.

     

    If for any reason the grid does not form properly after rolling, then a restart may be called. If there are persistent offenders that stop races being started they will be sent to the back of the grid or excluded.

     

    Starting positions approximate - always follow instructions from meeting steward

     

    Whites: At the start / finish line

    Yellows: Exit of Turn 4

    Blues: Exit of Turn 3

    Red: Entry to Turn 3

     

    On Track Behaviour

     

    - Drivers must drive in the correct direction (clockwise) at all times.

    - No use of the infield at any time, using the infield during a race will be classed as cutting.

    - No driving round the track slowly or waiting for other drivers.

    - Contact and Fencings are permitted but this must not fall into stupid driving by deliberately ruining somebody's race outside the rules.

    - No following in or unsporstmanlike sideswiping is allowed

    - No talking once the race has started, and until all drivers have crossed the finishing line.

    - If your car is damaged you may leave it on track but off the racing line.

    - Do not leave the server during a race as this will cause warp. However if your car is sat on the top of the fence please press escape.

    - Care is to be taken when rejoining the racing line following a spin and persistent carelessness in this respect will be punished.

    - Individual drivers with a bad connection may be banned from the rest of the meeting if it causes a problem for other drivers.

    - Wall riding is NOT permitted. If you are hit into the wall, you must back off the throttle and gain full control. You must not use the wall to steer the car around the turn, nor use it to gain a race advantage. Anyone found to do so

    may be docked places, excluded from the results, or have their meeting points removed.

    - Jump starts will be penalised by docking, 2 places or 2 places per car they jump.

     

    Lining Up

     

    - You must line up correctly without making contact with other cars, incidents will be dealt with the same way as if it were part of the race.

    - If there are persistent offenders that stop races being started they will be sent to the back of the grid or excluded.

     

    Grades

     

    Drivers are graded at intervals throughout the season, please make sure you know what grade you are. Novice drivers to rFactor have been graded as white, where a driver races in another UKDirt rFactor mod they start from one grade below

    there highest grade i.e. Mike is red in F1s so drops to blue grade. If anyone believes they have been graded incorrectly please just say and we'll sort it out.

    Please ensure you have the latest Skin Packs that can be found on the UKDirt Website.

    Got rF going wheel and pedals set up saloons installed and everything works!!!!

     

    Can I race tonight? Site only offers me Bangers F1 and F2 bookings.

     

    Do skinpacks work in same way as Heat point and go so to speak and is it ok to use the novice skin?

    Site wont offer you the possibility to book in for SSC as you first need to register a number, once you do that then the booking system works the same as Bangers, F1s and F2s. :thumbs_up:
