  1. I've updated the THREAD I posted as a reminder - did not realise the download had been changed since THIS thread was posted announcing the track alterations.

Incidentally I installed the track from the .rar file as per my initial link on the reminder thread and encounter no problems at all either when loading the track offline or when connecting to the (.45) server online

Note to self - check the website before potentially posting any more threads regarding download links! Apologies for any inconvenience caused though I would still be interested to know if there is indeed any difference between the two files/tracks, as surely regardless of what is on the server the one in the .rar should have worked offline?

The only difference between the 2 as I understand was that Dave made the .rar into a .exe to go onto the website in accordance with the rest of the tracks on there being a .exe. So there shouldnt be any difference as they both contain the same files and same track as far as I am aware.

  2. At least me looking on this thread has identified that some people still have "paid member" posting and viewing rights on the forum that they haven't paid for, so at least we can fix that.

Im on it right now. Call me elitist or whatever I dont care Pete, but I let you have your say here for long enough considering you didnt have your access revoked as a non paying member so not your times up and thats the end of it and hopefully we can get back on topic.

With regards to an earlier post about a AGM with members, I do like the idea but I do have a concern that if we all gathered in chat it could end up into a free for all and we might not even get anywhere with the mass amount of different opinions all coming out at once. I think this type of thread is perhaps more of use as people can post as and when they want to make their points for everyone else to see clearly.

  3. This is classic, the clique / elite can't figure out between themselves why turnouts are poor :appl:

And its funny how the top F2 point scorers use their own private teamspeak :o "We don't team race honest gov"

Countdown to admin deleting so as to avoid a discussion.....

    5.....

    4.....

    3.....

    2.....

Id guess you've raced this season to know that they are team racing then yeah. I mean we see Tom, Dode, Mike, Drumb, Robin, Aub knocking the crap out of each other pretty much every race. They are at the top of the points because they are consistently quicker through the traffic then the lower graders are and thats what I think makes the big difference, you can either control the contact or you cant. But you would know this as you've raced F2s how many times this season in UKDirt.....

Also I have Drumbs setup guide somewhere Ill dig it out and get it added somewhere whether it be on the site on forum as soon as I can find it.

  4. Finally, if you take a look at the F2 numbers between Sim-Stox and here there were probably over 70 regular drivers at the start of the year and this has now evened out to between 50 and 60, its just they are spread over two promotions not 1 I really wish everyone could get on and we could have multi promotion season with the drivers having more people at there speed to race, as they do in real life but it appears that the people that matter really don't want this to happen :scared15: .

Shame it didnt work with Saloons but to be honest it did leave a sour taste considering we still to this day havnt been told 'officially' that Simstox didnt want to run a joint season with UKDirt. We were politely warned that this might happen in the lead up but nothing was confirmed until it was put on their website fixture list. Shame really but this is how it goes these days I suppuse.

As for mavs points and other mentioned, I do agree that the 'community' fell does seem to have deminished since rFactor started and that is partly due to the design of the game itsself (oh and you can PM in server. The way I do it is type /w LeeK39 for example then the message and it 'Whispers' to the person whose name you entered) and also down to the lower numbers thus meaning we run more all in meetings and spend alot less time in MIRC char sitting around just chatting while other races are being run.

Drumb skimmed over the fact that we are looking at introducing some new mods to the fixtures which will hopefully work as a feeder series to the F1s and F2s in the fact that the new mods are easier to drive and enjoy with less setup time needed and giving the new drivers more confidence in racing rFactor as a while and hopefully meaning they step up to the F1s and F2s with a better knowledge of the game and workings as a whole. Keep an eye out for more details when we have them.

We are looking at promoting UKDirt better as Counter explained earlier and anyone with any further ideas on these matters post them up or send me a PM and we can look into them to try and make UKDirt more widely known in an ever changing community since when UKDirt was first started.

  5. Hey

Just wondering whether anyone has the .3ds file for the custom crown coupe they could send to me?

Also, does anyone know who made the model?

    Thanks in advance, Mark!

Don't have the .3ds but if I remember correctly (as it was a long time ago) I think the Model was made by Freddy.

  6. I think this is the 4th Sunday in a row it has beeen down

We are aware of this issue and are in contact with our hosts as it seems to go down on its own and then reappear without us doing anything so its really been out of our control but we are trying to sort out why this happens and what we can do to resolve the issue.

  7. ive done all that and it still doesnt work. :S i read on themodsquad forums that it installs files to different loactions? i done the stuff you told me.

Well thats me out of ideas. I'm sure there are members who race Heat and use Windows 7 out there who will know how to sort this for you though.

  8. i change all directorys to (x86) but the mods dont seem to work if they go to x86?

    Try this.

    Run NASCAR Heat As Administrator

Windows Vista and 7 have enhanced security that will not allow NASCAR Heat to properly access its files.

The simplest method to solve this problem is to always run the game as the administrator.

1 - Locate and open your NASCAR Heat folder.

2 - Right click on NHeat.exe or NASCAR Heat.exe and select "Properties".

3 - Select the "Compatibility" tab.

4 - Click the "Change settings for all users" button.

5 - Place a check mark next to "Run this program as an administrator".

6 - Click on "Apply" and "OK" to save the changes.

(Vista & 7 users may need to confirm security authorizations through the process.)

  9. lo all, ive been racing on sim stox for a while now and ricky told me about ukdirt so i thought id check it about. i downloaded everything right but its never worked? :S me and ricky have tried at least 70 times and its never worked.(it allways loads winston 2000, if you put everything in program files it says " unable to locate file NHeat.exe in x86" and if in x86 it never loads mods) . so i was wondering if anyone could get up running. i would prefer if someone helped me using teamviewer.

    Thanks,

    Hammer

Have you just been downloading the mod files and running the installers without changing the directory where to install them to? As default all of our installers go to C:\Program Files\Hasbro Interactive\NASCAR Heat where as on Win7 you'll need it to add the (X86) into the directory so it installs to your system correctly. If all is installed to the correct directory then I don't see why there should be a problem

  10. Ive been offline for a few days but got online today to find .48 down and not working. Its back up now with F1 BV Practise loaded for Real Skins, any further problems let me know. As for .45, ill give it a reboot and hopefully it will sort the problem as I can see that others have been able to get into server in the last few days.

  11. Hi Leek/web team,

Just tried to access the website to pay subscription (returning after a few years), however for some reason site appears to be down. I wont be in over the next few hours although intend to pay soon. Do you know if this is a temp thing or will I have to go through another route.

    Cheers,

    Avon

Ps. On reflection I been away from the game for some time so a few extra days wont upset me.

Not sure why the site is down at the moment, it does seem to randomly go down at times then re-appear again later. Never worked out why other than our web host being random.
