  1. Bring back the Auld Enemies races!!! No holds barred Allcomers after the Dash me thinks...let's see the English up the wall in a Honeymonster stylee!!!

Wouldnt be able to catch us English folk mate, just like real life eh!

Oh yeah, any chance of one big skinpack with all simstox skins being made for download?

There is only 2 skinpacks you need as of now Lee, Full Skinpack and August one which are available on the SimStox portal or on the UKDirt website as per usual.

  2. With SSC rFactor starting soon the current SSC Admin Team - Dan, James are looking for people to join them to run the SSC mod to the end off 2010 and into the 2011 season in conjunction with Sim-Stox

You will be expected to help run the SSC meetings on a Wednesday night, compiling the points, results, go on the UK Dirt site and Forum. The team also handle the general running of the league, compiling fixture lists, sorting out championship formats, dealing with disciplinary issues, working out grade changes etc.

We are not necessarily looking for people who can do all the above. However, as Dan and James did a lot of the admin duties in previous season and with their time being limited at present we are ideally looking for people who are happy to RM to share the load.

If you are interested then please PM Dan to put your name forward

  3. Which Do You Upload .dds or .veh? Or Both?

For Heat you need .tex files only. For rFactor you need .veh and .dds for shale and tarmac cars with each of the different grades (white, yellow, blue and red) versions in the 1 zip.

  4. When i open my mktxt to tun, it opens then closes straight away, im trying to convert mt tga file to txt, any help be apricated. thanks south.

It will do if your simply clicking the file named mktex. What you need to do is go to Start>Run then type in command click ok to bring up a command prompt. Then in there I enter the following

    cd c:\skins press enter

    mktex car434.tga car434.tex

the first bit is where my mktex is located and the last bit isdependant on the file names your coverting and what you want to be created.

tryed that mate, typed in c:\tga2txt, thats where my mktex program is located and this came up on command screen. this not reconized as an internal or external command, tryed other programme files and does the same thing.

You need to type cd before c:\tga2txt

  6. Just an update, managed to fix the issue. It seems the Windows updates did something with the dirvers for my graphics card so found the lastest drivers, installed them and its seemed to have sorted the problem.

Thanks to both Tads and james for their help in trying to find the source of the problem.

  7. Ive hit a big rut tonight when installing a load of Windows updates (about 90 of them I think). I downloaded and installed them all fine, now gone to open Heat up (any of the mods as its the same for all) and I get the first popup menu and I can then hear the background music but the screen is totally black.

I am running Windows XP so the run as admin thing isnt an issue, ive tried changing the compatability modes and none of those work either, ive tried a reinstall and still the same.

Anyone got any ideas as to what to try next?

  8. how come when it logs on to ip it shows between 30-60 ppl online:- 48.........1/24...................connect. then i put the password in and i'm the only one there, also when i go to car manager it says i havent got the tracks installed but have installed them on numerous occasions.

The 1/24 is the area which shows how many people are in the server so 1 is how many are in and 24 is the maximum allowed in the server at one time. The other numbers are your ping.

  10. UKDirt are pleased to announce the launch of a brand new design for the website www.ukdirt.co.uk, a website devoted to the UKDirt league which is now celebrating its 10th anniversary.

The website has been in progress for a long time now and we are finally pleased to launch it, some parts arent 100% there but all of the parts of the Members Area are now fully functional in the same way as the old website.

The all new homepage now incorporates all of the up to date information regarding, Points, Fixtures, Final Results and current World Champions. The Hall of Fame is now also on the site (formally the Roll of Honour) in a totally new design with as many current and past champions included as we could possibly find. If you have any replays for the listed title races then please let us know and we can add this to the relevant pages.

All of the old options for Paid Members are included and also a new Renew Your Subscription page to help members pay their server fee without the need to search around for the details needed to do so. Also the rFactor server page now incorporates a Launch button to take you directly to the server.

Another new feature of the site is the Media Centre which is a gallery showing off the UKDirt mods in action which will also be shown on the homepage.

Last and most importantly we would like to thank Kev McQueen for all his hard work building the website changing things daily as we changed our minds. Also thanks to MoR for making all of the graphics you see on site and ths trophies in the Hall of Fame, also to Grasser for allowing us to use some of his quality pictures for the Media Centre, Trash for writing the League History piece and to the rest of the Admin Team for all of their input throughout the process.
