  1. hopefully will learn how to improve the camera angles some more by next week. I managed to get some great angles in Heat with a bit of hacking around so should be able do the same with r. Great racing obviously helps to make a great video, so keep it up chaps
  2. Thanks I will try that one tonight. A lot of the sites say they have massive limits in time/size, but then the video still gets massively compressed in filesize/codec. Everytime I do a vid they get longer and the filesize gets bigger lol I only spent 4 hours on that vid Next week's will hopefully have more time spent on it and will be better
  3. Hello, Welcome to the first of the rFactor Autumn Series Videos showing the Meeting Finals Free to you all...enjoy! R1 VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS As previously stated if someone can host my 50mb files the video will be better quality. So sorry about the lack of quality...original video looks stunning at my end!
  4. OMG I never realised Pole Position was so realistic I wish I had one of those big 'spinny' steering wheels from the arcade machine for rfactor. I'd do a lot better lol
  5. I think it's spot on, Ipswich and Birmingham for example. I prefer the realism aspect, rather than have a daft unrealistic wall or something to totally stop people from corner cutting. In Heat it was decided for example to slow u down on the grass (invisible gravel traps) to prevent corner cutting and across the middle of the track, I personally hated that and do not think its the way to go with any rfactor track. Realism should be key priority for rfactor, followed by realistic ways of preventing cheating! In real BriSCA's they sometimes have to cut across corners, not to gain advantage, but to avoid a track collision/blockage, for example at Sheffield and Belle Vue, that's part of what makes it exciting to watch. If this can happen in rfactor it will make it the more exciting & realistic to the real sport.
  6. I personally would love to see movable tyres for the realism effect, but not sure if it would improve anything for on-line racing. I'm also sure most 'Racers' on here would say no, due to them being on the track/racing line after a couple of hard hits and getting in the way! Perhaps they could be "auto-repositioned" once they moved so far from they're original position! If not they're cud be "guides" whuch stop the tyres moving onto the track on the corners. On this similar subject. I would love to see an old skool Brafield/Northampton with those bouncing Beer Barrels they used to have!!
  7. not a prob, will put a 5 second vid together later tonight to show what it does, and also check my display settings - they are set fairly high though with no other problems at all.
  8. hmm, maybe I'll take a look at the shading detail in the display settings. I have a reasonably hi-spec PC at home, but it also does this on 2 other PC's I have had the game installed on. You may only generally notice it from the Crowd/TV view. I'll try adjusting the graphics settings when I get home. Cheers, Chris.

    NSU Hotrod

Why?? Reminds me of those mad German racer's that used to make up the numbers at Ipswich spedeweekend in the early 80's ...also why have those HotRods got Nerf bars!? Do they all drive like Duffy Collard over there? lol
  11. one of the best models yet where's the webbing/old seat belt wrapped round the door frames tho, lol
  12. tbh I'm being really picky here! ...but a little know (annoying for me) bug is the wheels at night races, sometimes looking like they're 'flashing' on & off (dark grey/black to white/silver) when the different light shades hit them. Just thought I'd mention it as it would be nice to have this fixed when the Version 1.0 release is completed. Any thoughts as to how it can be fixed/improved?
  13. I would start a collection for you m8, but people would need to take out monthly direct debits for the amount of times you've retired I would say racing at night caused quite a bit of extra graphical stress for your PC to handle. Seems to be a problem with your graphics card not up to spec and lack of ram/memory. If you upgraded both of these it should make a dramatic improvement. You will probably need to spend £100 apx. though on card and memory to upgrade what should be pretty good spc for rfactor. Also suggest formatting your pc at the same time and re-installing windows & rfactor so you essentially will feel like you have a new PC again. My game and pc did freeze up once last night when i connected on-line, so I had to turn off the power on PC, but Heat 2 seemed to start very quickly and I missed the start.
  14. Thanks I musta missed this one. Now I seen Fareham, I have heard of it but never downloaded it. It looks an awesome laid out track if this was for real! Dont like the look of those high curbs though Will download it when i get home from work.
  15. Great meeting/ I love the onboard views in these. Feels like you're really a part of the action (without the muck, smell and hard bangs!) Stupid game/pc froze so I missed Heat 2. I finally got my setup sorted by the Final, Thought I could pull of a miracle and win the Final, till I tangled with a backmarker half way and came back to reality I have done a video catching all the action of the final and time permitting will do one for every meeting of the Autumn series. Video just needs titleing from last nite which I will try to do tonight.
  16. Update to Andy Smith's car available to download in the morning from racesimcentral.com, F1 stockcars skin section. [attachmentid=19943] [attachmentid=19944]
  17. Did this track get released yet....have I missed it!?!
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD6lwCizJ6M Why the hell did they not bring him in for dry's a lap or two before Hope he does the business in Brazil in 2 weeks Did a bit of armchair motorsport today. Watched the Bathurst 1000. What a great race!
  19. Love the track, if the track width was narrower (for closer contact racing) it would be perfect for BriSCA The default tv/track camera angles are spot on too. I enjoy all the touches around the track, including in the pits. Just need a few Stockcar Coach Transporters in there for the UK tracks [attachmentid=19911]
  20. I like the 'Rat' look! Certainly stands out from the crowd and is different. Kinda looks like its going rusty

  24. I just save it twice! 2nd time always works fine! I managed to make the car completely see through with a bit of playing around It looked like it was made of glass.
  25. Probably not until the end of the year/early next year m8. There's a few real-life skins to play with on the rfactorcentral website, until the official release of chassis and paintjobs.
