  7. yes mate that would be great. my son just points and clicks lol some are blurred when the light goes down, but generally he holds it steady and i let him take all my pics of the meetings. Its nice to view them when i get home.

    Idea's

    The game's good, but I don't know if it's that good. Although I think graphically it would be great if the shale went up the barriers as the race went on, and also speckled the front/side of cars. And the superstar flashing lights will prob be on the final release. Would look great seeing those lights flashing on the guys at the back. I also think with some tinkering (and a lot of know how!) some of the tracks could be made so that the whites are graded at the front, a gap, then the yellows, etc. Would help with the starts, and also the possibity of fine tuning the rolling laps so that the PC calls "GO" - I'm sure its possible but theory is easier than in practise! On some tracks on heat (eg Arena Essex) the starter flag man from the Nascar tracks was used by Nick. Is it possible in rFactor? I think it really aids the game both graphically, and as an aid when racing...even better if he could hold the "laps left" boards out

    NSU Hotrod

    You could always spot the German visitors in the NSU's, Porsche's and Golf's. The NSU's are a fun looking car, they kinda look like they're driving backwards though!
  10. Yes! ALL mods and downloads are free my friend. Just the actual rFactor base game itself that costs £24.99. There's almost every type of car available from F1 to Lawnmowers and Citroen 2CV's. The mod in the video looks a right laugh to race on-line.

  13. [attachmentid=20074] The attachment shows the night time problem with the wheels, even worse at Sexberieum. It is annoying when following the car in front, especially on shale where they get sideways a lot. I have now tried every setting in game displays. Tried the shadows on/off/max and the texture settings, etc My rfact config/video setup reads Radeon X1650 Pro, Shader Level: Performance DX7, Anti-aliasing: None, Res: 1440 x 900 It is the same on every view except the fixed track cameras. I notice these display differently (draw distance, etc) than the other views do. Wheels.zip

  17. Yes well pointed out Mac on that lol, but many of us think some of the in game chat messages do not show up. Other times I saw "ROLL AT 30" but you could see some other cars didnt set off until they saw the others rolling. I dont think it's because they were new or being thick (or maybe it is the latter I guess it just needs to be watched out for next time.
  18. Hi Al, I think at startup the game loads all the .veh files (and/or the .dds files) so the more there are the worse it is. Try removing/backing up the .veh files elsewhere, and see if it helps. I think they will still play on-line as long as you have the .dds but I'm not sure! Kind of pulling at straws, but not sure what else you could do. Also try removing the rFactor\GameData\Vehicles\F1Stockcar skin folders and try re-installing the skins packs. One slight mistake in one of the .veh files will crash the game (also proving as mentioned above that it loads these files) Although you could also have a prob with your memory stick/s (or poss lack of memory) as the blue screen and problem loading the game with many more files could also suggest. Finally with it saying its the graphics driver, there could be some sort of conflict with the graphics card but I havent a clue what becasue it was ok before. Hope you resolve it somehow

  20. Yeah I realise that m8, it's a fantastic NZ track. I was just hinting as to what would make a good fantasy BriSCA track which you could knock up in a couple of weeks
  21. This is what I used to use a while back. You cant get simpler if you just want to simply squeeze a few DVD's onto one. Pretty sure that's what I used to fit three DVD's onto one anyway some time ago [attachmentid=20024] dvd2one140.zip
  22. use the in-car view..its more fun! you get used to it and your times should improve over the swing-man view. and it's then good watching the replay so you can see what actually happened in that big pile up or position battle which you were involved in. I dont think there's a mirror option on swingman view, I did look over a year ago a hacking around with it, but dont think I found a way of doing it. Might have another look tonight though. In ref to you not seeing "go" called, I was the same, and with the server last night. I dont think it comes up everytime. Something's not quite right. Maybe a touch of lag can sometimes prevent it coming up at all.
  23. Also, unless I'm going blind, "Roll at 30" didn't show up on mine a couple of races. I think that was the reason. Maybe cos you're shouting from the back t'wud be great if rolling laps could be made to work and the game to call go.

It seems a good improvement, seems less chance of spinning round when being hit or hitting someone in front and a touch more controlable once you've reached 'the limit' and I notice side to side contact was better down the straights, especially if someone catches you're front end coming out of the bend the car didn't want to spin like it did before. Just hope it all improves the racing personally I like the uncontralability factor, makes it more fun
