  1. haha yeah, I think half the crowd at the Millenium Stadium left due to the noise! With the roof shut it was like having a 500 watt speaker strapped to each ear everytime they set off! Nice voicemail lol
  2. C:\Program Files\rFactor\GameData\Vehicles\F1Stockcar\Shale\Shale ^^ ie another Shale folder inside the 1st shale folder! put them in the second shale folder, that's where they belong. Each dds file and has a veh file which refers to it, you need both for each skin, then reload game and Buy the car in game. the dds file is the skin (as you know) and the veh file will open with notepad, make sure the detail is correct (see the stickie thread at the top of the rfactor forum)
  3. Cheers Jeff, Better pics than my son took lol, its hard taking good action shots in low light (only cos I dont know how to work a digi camera!) We had the Racing followed an entertainment break then the Freestyle which is the best bit. Think there were 3 flips. I didnt expect much, but they certainly put on a top show, they drove like they were in the World Finals! These things are massive close up, just look at your shot where he's driving over the big school bus and you see how big they are! They weight 5 ton's
  4. Can someone post the replay of the Final please? Was trying out some new camera angles and rfactor deleted my replay as it only saves 5 or 6 replays per track. Will have to figure a way around this!
  5. Something a bit different this weekend as I took my son to see the Monster Jam Tour at The Millenium Stadium. Great atmosphere. Most of the big boys were there. The 1,600 BHP V8 sound was deafening when they set off as they also had the roof closed. I thought they would take things steady with being 'away from home' for repairs but no they didnt! They're all nutta's! A sellout crowd as well! 6. What was the price agreed again MoR?
  7. You really couldn't meet a nicer guy with a genuine smile and John will be sadly missed. As a kid I always had a little car with a number 7 sticker on it playing on the carpet. He has raced everything in Hot Rods from a mini through to the escort's, starlets and 205. I watched him throught the 80's and his win the English in 94 at Birmingham and his last race at the 95 World Final. He had been battling his illness for some time now and he will be sadly missed
  8. will have to try and put a stop to that! "If you can't beat em...take em out"
  9. haha, well I cant ever remember seeing you spin out, you just seem to drive a steady race from the back..
  10. ah right thanks This is a face
  11. I'll be there at Arena too I might take my yellow site jacket from work, so that i fit in
  12. Welcome into the world little Jack Hope Jo is ok....oh and confgratulations to Wayne too, lol
  13. Great meeting, which I thoroughly enjoyed again (even though I'm not improving much lol) One or two more complaints about 'contact issues' which I still feel is accurate to the real thing (improved in version 0.2) Yes it can be hard to stop spinning out, but in all fairness so is the real thing. I had the usual fun in the Grand National where I used my bumper a bit more I'm still putting off the steering wheel investment for a while yet though!
  14. WOW! Talent or what, That guy can do anything. I wonder if he will do render requests!
  15. Hello racers, Welcome to the video highlights of last week's Grand Final from Round 3 of the rFactor Autumn Series from Sexbierum, for you to enjoy while you're waiting for this week's video from Ipswich. If you're after a higher quality version to download (much better to watch) members can visit www.TheMagicLamp.org later tonight. Thanks again to TheGreenGenie / Stuart Neale for providing this service. Round 3 - Grand Final Video Highlights Cheers, Chris
  16. Splinter 20
  17. Think we're all used to it by now
  18. Yes Trav, hot spots means you just hook up your laptop. Over here places like Hotels, McDonalds, etc give you a login code (and possibly a password) but most 'hot spots' may be less secure and you just 'search' for wi-fi and your lappy will connect. In UK not all are free, and some may charge £1 per 30 minutes but it probably mostly free in NZ Sim/Data cards and service we use are about £25 per month from t-mobile for example, but 12 months contract. Best bet would be to hook it up to a decent mobile phone, and ask the network provider if they do a cheap internet add-on (again for example T mobile charge £7.50 for unlimited internet/data add-on to a contract) or a 3G phone is Broadband speed. If you dont get this service you will be charged data charges on your phone bill, so you would have to becareful not to use it too often.
  19. yeah sure m8, thanks for asking first.
  20. That's good to hear Fourwinds, cheers. That's what I hope to do, get some people interested a little that wouldn't have been normally. Like Murph says, can I keep with the high standard every week My time may limit that! Started off taking one night to do a vid...now its beginning to be two full & sometimes late nights! I'm not racing at Sexbeirum this week, cant afford to take the car on the Ferry but will be taking my video team over for it
  21. Yeah the wheel looks great. Looks fantastic as well having a leather covered wheel to play the game. Just need a Kirkey aluminium seat and frame now and run a prop shaft through my legs attached to a pneumatic drill, with a friend throwing buckets of shale dust in my eyes, and the Stockcar sim would be near enough perfect!
  22. I had this problem with my saitek wheel too It drove you round the bend (unfortunatly not literally lol) Think numerous driver downloads and I sorted it, I cant be anymore specific though
  23. Cheers I watched the hi-res earlier. Love the driver in the 55 mercedes lol, and the wheel looks great value
  24. Its Finally Here! or for a higher quality version register at www.themagiclamp.org where Green Genie will make it available later today.
  25. Happy Birthday...many happy returns. Well done on setting another milestone
