Woh Woh Woh. Some of us have lives, lol. I have been busy every night this week, and I mean literally every hour so not had chance to finish it. My vids can take two full evenings, so plan is to have it completed for Sunday

PS is it the new Cowdenbeath?

Yeah well done Pedz. You are a master at work...you make that freew and others look like amateurs hahahaha I think it still needs a lot of work on it to meet the current Health & Safety requirements

My dad was driving home late one night (about 30 years ago!) and swerved to avoid a man's figure stood in the road on a bad bend. He stopped and looked back and nobody was there. When he went to work the next day they said there had been a very bad accident there a few years earlier, and a man had crashed into a tree and died exactly fitting the description my dad had seen. To this day, he swears he saw a ghost. ...I still think he was on the happy pills The day I'll believe in Ghosts is when I'm driving home from work and I see myself coming in the opposite direction PS What a load of crap people believe about that video lmao Would have helped a bit if he had thrown camera on floor instead of placing it down then also spinning it round after lol

..a very clever way of changing the subject

Its in the upgrades for each car in the game. You have choice of Gold Weller, Gold 5 spoke, Silver, Black. If you have the beta/test game, click on the upgrades tab after you click 'buy' for the particular car you want. also on some cars when the full game is released, you will be able to change wings, bonnet scoops, exhaust muffles, suspension guards, shale guards, etc

overall design looks good Some tips: 1) Adjusting the size of Stoxnet logo, etc. They look better smaller than being too big than disappearing off edges of panels 2) Click Sharpen image on the logos, and the small logos will look less blurry when in the game 3) Increase the contrast and brightness on each logo a small amount if neceserry, can make them look 'stronger' and more colourful 4) You could do with your name/nickname on the front, and number on the sides 5) Create the skin in 1024x1024 then flattend it and re-size it to 512x512 for the final skin once completed (important to remember this if using it to race on-line)

PS: for Dazza and co that like to keep the vids, I have updated the video on filefront and magiclamp. Improved quality and with corrected result.

oh bugger, I did have him in the results, then thought i'd got it wrong and took him out. doh! Thanx for lettin me know, I like to get things right and will sort it tonight as its not too much of a problem to correct. ....I would like to thank THIS MAN(the one on the left) for my insperation for the drum beat intro. He has been almost like a father figure to me over the years and I owe a lot to him. He's help form the lifestyle of this world and the way we live, like the Martin Luther King, Ghandi, and Winston Churchill's of this world.

These look great. I've seen the vids of these before. I'm gonna try these, but they aint the same, not being able to race on Bradford with them.

Hello Stox fans Welcome to the Video edit of Sunday's Grand Final - Round 8 of the UKDirt rFactor Autumn Series from Fareham. This week is currently only available in Hi-Res from Filefront Fareham is a long but narrow track with high inner curbs which made things tricky if you ride up them. Lots of retirements happened in the final (just like the real thing!) due to collisions and suspension damage Some of the lower grade drivers are becoming more and more competitive now, making it hard for the red graders to get the victories they expect. Of course there's always the some of us who deliberatly drive slow, so that there's a balance of grades to make the mod more realistic Round 8 - (Hi-Res) Apologies on behalf of myself and Green Genie for not having the Hi-Res Vid from last week. No one's quite sure where he is, so best wishes to him, whatever the problem may be. Cheers, Chris

I'm uploading them both to Filefront now (R7&R8), and yes if you look closely, you will see that the camera's just managed to catch your moment, lol

Video done just gonna check it and upload it in a bit. Will post up soon

Cant wait for Kings Lynn MoR. Hope its just like the real thing I'd rather wait and you make it perfect than make you rush it for Christmas (unless you release a Beta style preview version first) I actually quite liked the track. But like you say, the high speed and narrow track made for a lot of collisions and damage. Just wait till we get proper post n wire tracks

Just set the gears set to manual, but set autoclutch on, would be the easiest way. For extra realism, I was racing with manual clutch but the car can stall when you're spun out, which can be a pain in a race lol Like I say, only one 'race' gear so no point in having auto gears. Get booked in and racing on a Sunday or Tuesday Just be steady on the controls, and try not to spin too often

Cheers for the reply, Wrighty. I have only just got rFactor running after previous problems that seem were probably down to a dodgy skin pack download. I just saw the post about rFactor Config and when I looked saw it could run in a window so I tried that and it worked ok, along with other changes I made, so wondered what was best. Plus I noticed it was set to DX7 Performance, even though my pc is on DX9 generally, but presumably DX7 Performance is ideal as I am mainly concerned with being able to race at all, although not sure how it even got set to DX7 not DX9? I didnt notice much performance or graphical difference between DX7 and DX9. One thing you will find mentioned on here though before, the DX7 doesnt show the shading as good at night time races. Mostly noticeable on the wheels, apart from that see whats best for you. Set the race time (in your difficulty settings I think) and then you might see the shading difference I'm on about, nothing major at all though. Best thing to do for performance is set a lower resolution (full screen though) in the config, then keep increasing it bit by bit. As a guide I run 1280 x 768 32 bit and have all my in-game settings medium to high. When I've had connection probs I reduced my settings down but it made no difference to connection. My graph card is a Ati/Sapphire X1650pro 512mb which is nothing special and prob costs about £50-£60 now.

Why the hell you using auto shift in F1's anyway. They only race in one gear so there's no need to change gear anyway. The other gear is just a low speed gear (for use in pits for example) Surely the auto shift just drops down to 1st at the wrong moment on the bends and then you'd end up spinning round. Take off the auto shift, it's disabled on the server, so you have to race to the server settings online (ie no traction control and daft stuff like that)

Splinter 20 booking in Same here. Hopefully I will manage at least one race again! I am just pleased if my connection holds up to get even the one race, lol

I'm waiting for somebody to reply to this? (I'm assuming that the answer maybe a little biaised with it being posted in the rFactor part of the forum) of course rFactor is better than Heat, its over 5 years newer for starters which in gaming world is a long time, so its surely gotta be better. Heat has been great (and still is) but surely everyone is getting a little tired of it by now and fancies a big change in the league. The biggest difference is the realism. rFactor in my mind is a proper simulation, where as Heat I would class as a 'game' It depends what you are after. As Drumbstick says, there is no way you could play rFactor with the keys, compared with Heat where you can quite easily and be competitive. I was well pleased however, when I got my wheel and played rFactor though. The wheel and 'real-feel' plugin definetly makes a massive difference to the whole experience. Like Kruiz has said, it can even get your friends and family hooked (who may even have little interest in Stockcars) when you give them a go with the wheel. I personally feel that is the best proof that its a great game, as they would never have done that with Heat. I give em a go, and honestly cant get them off it for at least an hour, no matter how crap they are, even around Ipswich with no other cars on the track lol I wouldnt ever try to sway any1 to one game or the other, because I know some guys love what I would call the arcade style fun of heat, but if you're a hardcore fan of Stockcars and realism/sims I would definatly tell you to get a half decent wheel, a good graphics card, and £25 for rFactor. Also it can only get better, as one day in the future it will Rain in the game (there's already the 'rain and spray effect' on the Kr3w oval) and rFactor2 will have more and more features!
