  1. wd trav on the final win one of them bad nights for me though as I took too much damage in most of the races. heat one went well, but was downhill after that. heat 2 got fenced pretty hard by Tom which damaged the car enough to drop the lap times enough so that I couldn't catch anyone. Final I didnt even finish a single lap....went into turn 2, saw a spun Larrs but too late to do anything about it, so hit him straight in the side. suspension guffed. race over. gn started ok, but again think I clipped a spun car and had to take some evasive manouvre to avoid hitting another one. again too late though as the car was damaged enough to slow the lap times down too much and was overtaken by a couple of cars and out of the top ten. roll on next week where hopefully my luck will return.
  2. I will be attending with my brother Kendo and will probably also be standing with the usual suspects aub, dave, trav, Parky etc. - although once I get there Aub, you will no longer be the good looking one mate
  3. wd to Drumbstick on taking the championship. was very quick and consistant all night. a very frustrating night for me unfortunately though and found myself getting a bit grouchy probably a bit down to lack of sleep lately....grrrrr babies lol the track was definately a hitters favourite as I found out to my detriment. (although I did give Trav a cracking last bender in one of the heats lol....which was returned with interest in the next heat though ha ha) also found myself dumped into a parked car by Spike in a later race as well. I defiantely need to work on my existing set ups a bit now, as the new physics update did affect my car more than i anticipated. It wasn't turning in as well as it used to which made my lap times way to slow, and left me way to open to the return hits on the next bend after putting someone wide. For some reason I just couldn't figure out what to adjust to bring the turn in back to how it used to be. So to be honest I can see why I had a frustrating night. Great work on the update UKsom, but please stop it now lol, as I had just got the car running well enough to have a go from superstar and now I fear a poor run until it clicks again.

    NIR RESULTS

cracking night of racing I thought. wd to Tom on the Euro win, the red and yellow cheque roof has gone to a very worthy wearer in my opinion. also wd to Kendo 'the wheel hater' 912 for the final win. Also got to say unlucky to dode who im sure would have finished in 2nd in the big race if it hadnt been for his dodgy graphics card. Good racing mate. The euro didnt quite go how I wanted it to, but I still had a fantastic race and enjoyed every minute of it even though I ended up damaging the car. Was surprised to get pole, in all the years of racing i think that was the first time, so I lined up a little nervous wondering what joys the first bend was going to bring lol. The inexperience showed as much when I came out of the bend a bit wrong, I think tom may have clipped my back end slightly but am not sure, but anyway the car had a slight tank slapper on which meant i entered the next bend on the outside with about 4 cars going past me on the inside. I cursed a bit but got stuck straight back in and found myself quickly back up to 2nd and chasing tom down. The usual nezza luck went a few laps later though lol as there was a crash on turn 1 or 2 which nearly took tom out as well i think. I had to slow down a lot and went round the outside, but this decision meant that woody and tosh were back on me going into the next bend. the rest of the race the three of us were going at it just about every bend until about lap 20 when i had my back end clipped a bit which slightly spun me into the wall and damaged the wheel. I limped round the last 5 laps hoping for a top 10 finish, but Lars pipped me to it on the last lap. Great race though. The rest of the night went brilliantly for me and I think the practise i put in on friday paid off. very happy to get 2nd in the final from red, and I wasnt too far away from catching the wheel hater. a few more laps and it would have been close. Good to see a few of the old faces return and would be nice to see them a bit more in the future. it was a shame to see Drumb leaving early, as I personally like to see the championship roofs on display, and hopefully what made him leave will be a one off. thanks for running it Spike, was very smooth evening
  7. Guys, I think the posts so far will do nothing but make a valued old member leave the community tbh. I know they are only jokes and also I do agree personally that the way forward is a wheel with this game. However, each to their own and on a serious note I do know that Kendo is getting fed up with things as they are, which sums up Aubs post the other day about the community spirit disappearing. Now there are guys out there who do race with a pad and are successful, so I probably reckon that he is after some advise from them to see what makes it work for them. Perhaps TomD or Dave 488 who race with a pad could offer some help?
  8. really enjoyed tonight. had some cracking races with Robin, Pedz, Tosh and Aub especially. best race for me was the gn with tosh and mav. cracking racing the hits got harder and harder with Mav sticking me in the barrier in the end which ripped me wheel off lol. loved it and good respect given throughout. (641 on the dash now though ) wd Trav on the final win, strange how you win one on the last night of grading period though lmao. cheers for running it Gary and get that grade playing, stitched head drunkerd Trav up to a proper grade.
  9. trav. ditch the monitor and wire that flat screen in mate
  10. good meeting for me, and certainly the best points score i have had on tar with the new physics. must admit, a few probably didnt notice, but the damage settings were adjusted to 90% tonight and I thought that made a massive difference to the racing imo. normally a slight tap on a spun out car can cause enough damage to end your race, but that little 10% extra meant i could afford a few hits and it didnt wreck the car. as a result my finishing places were much better. I also though it was good to see that it didnt stop the excessive hitting from ripping a wheel off though. a good balance i thought. hope this can continue as it certainly improved the meeting for me anyway. wd to all race winners, back to red Dave well run tom, thanks mate.
  11. as I said to you in the meeting Bobbert. I had the 8400 which ran ok so can't see why this shouldnt run it. However, the 8400 had to be run with a lot of the graphics settings turned down a bit, but looked ok to be honest. I have since upgraded to a 9800 and that runs full spec very easily. downside is that it costs about 90 quid apposed to 25.
  12. really enjoyed the racing last night. ht1 and the gn went great for me, but the final and heat 2 I took damage quite early in both races which was disappointing. quite happy with the points I achieved though, seeing as it was tarmac.....I definately prefer the shale and I find the car doesnt damage as quickly in the shale meetings. wd to all race winners and especially wd to Woody for the final win and last bending me for 5th in the gn from a lap handicap
  13. Tobacco advertising!!!! isnt that wrong in this day and age ? lol
  14. spike I make my points 11? as i got 10th in the gn. good racing last night I thought. best one for me was the gn - cracking last few laps between me and Mike for 9th and 10th place. good stuff mate
  15. I thought I had Wrighty to be honest. anyway I have completely re-installed the f2 mod now, so I know that it has definately been done this time round. hopefully no more problems in the future. just thought as well Wrighty, it was trying to kick me when i was in my own car, but as soon as I went in a novice it was fine.
  16. no problems or complaints from me about that move Lee. I thought it was a cracking move to be honest mate and happens in real life. it is stockcars after all lol and i would have tried to do the same thing if it were the other way round. totally agree with you as well about the passing, it is simply the nature of this track unfortunately, which is why i'm glad to see the back of that meeting. it is probably my most hated and worst track for me. Anyway, wd to all the winners and to Mike for taking the title. apologies from me also, to spikejnr, can't remember which heat it was but i went for a hit on him at the same time he pulled out of my way to let me by, which took me by surprise and the brakes went on to late as a result and i ended up pretty much in the wall with him. Just wanted to let you know that it weren't intentional mate, as i'm sure it came across to you as a follow in. Forgot to add - can someone on admin reload the skin packs to the server please just to make sure of all possibilities? as the servers have been trying to kick me for a couple of weeks now for whatever reason. I have now done a complete re-install, so I cant see how it will be something my end in the future. Thanks, Nezza
  17. wd Lee for the nationals win and to Danskin for the final. I really enjoyed tonights racing, there were some hard hits coming in from the outset, which set me off tonight on one of them hit me hard its coming back type of moods lol. I blame Mike and Fordy for starting me off to be honest the new and more aggressive stance worked wonders for me tonight, and im glad i did it as normally i think i am a bit too easy to get past. I do regret smashing Mav quite so badly in ht3 as i realised as soon as i had done it that i had gone in way too hard to be honest. a learning curve for me on just how hard i can and cant hit people so apologies Mav. I would still like to see the tar cars damage turned down slightly (it is that way isnt it tosh lol?) as they seem a lot more fragile than the shale cars, but that is up to the powers that be. as a general rule i prefer the shale because of this reason. bring on next week at buxton which is probably my most hated track as i cant get the flippin line right for toffee.
  18. dunno about upping my game tonight Mav, but certainly hoping to up my luck a bit lol. had one of them nights where the car damage finished me off im afraid. heat one i was going great guns and sitting in 5th or 6th place and good old Lars decided to head out into the racing line when he had spun, rather than heading for the infield to get out of the way lol. heat 2 - go go go - first bend and harold planted me into the inner tyre which wrecked the car lol. apologies to everyone as this caused so much carnage that i ended up escaping the game to get my car off track!! final went really well and thought I had turned the bad luck corner. gn - how wrong was I lol? going great gund again and did myself - too much power down too early hit the outer barrier and car bounced round causing damage again!! still, enjoyed the nights racing as always wd to Pedz for the final win and a good points haulage from dave as well
  19. cracking stuff again Tosh. I had forgot about that four way battle as well. was a cracking final.
  20. Crewie, have you not got cable round your way? that should solve the exchange problem mate
