Thanks to all who raced. Well done race winners and MoR #137 for winning the final and top scoring. Then I couldn't find the server for my heats. I joined heat 3 and did reasonably well, then all was well for the final but when the server was restarted I was kicked and locked out for some reason (probably AOL related again). Then for the GN I made a good start but was promptly put in the wall hard damaging the car and spun about 3 times after that eventually capatlising on others mistakes to get into the top 10. I was really hoping to do well tonight so to say the least my enthusiasm has taken a dive somewhat, hopefully there's enough left to make me want to race again next week. Obviously that wasn't bad enough so to add to it, my FFB didn't work all night, my brake pedal is being held up by some sponge I wedged behind it because the spring broke last night and the sound has gone a bit '2 dimensional'. Having said that I'm sure nobody else was stricken with such bad luck tonight as that so make sure your all back again for next week. Kruiz

Superb video, top top driving. Reversing the grid would certainly make it much more exciting to watch, but whats to say the slower drivers will pull over to the let faster drivers through who would get passed anyway so that they don't get taken out the race and inflict damage on the car, they are very expensive and some of the teams are not that well equipt. I do think it has been much better this season with the introduction of reduced traction control and a more names challenging for the title than there has been for many years. BMW seem to look stronger every race too.

LOL not trying hard enough then.. I've killed two of them before lmao

Cheers guys, Sim-stox get enough videos etc, I'm hoping to do some more for ukdirt though when I get some time off work.

This was originally an fps test because I was having problems with lag but I thought maybe we need one that just shows what rFactor is like to drive and nothing else. So while I figure out how to perform such tricks on my videos as Splinter showcases, here is footage start to finish, from inside the cab of my car in the Grand National last week at Belle Vue. I moved the camera to the side a little so you can see a bit more but other than that it is exactly what you would expereince when racing rFactor. The race isn't the most action packed but I feel it gives a good insight to those who are yet to drive it, what its like. The video is as high quality hosting as I could find so turn the sound up high, sit back and enjoy straight forward, unedited stock car racing.. http://blip.tv/file/933158 Hopefully back soonish with an edited video, Kruiz

I'm no banger fan but does anyone else think that the government/councils crushing impounded old cars is a waste? I'm sure a lot of them are banger worthy and with the plastic modern cars of today, how much longer will bangers continue to exist? When I've been to the Pre '68 at Hednesford and seen car pre '50 being bangered then I often think its a shame but you don't usually have to look to far to see how rotten it is.

Thats brilliant Craig. Cheers for the meeting, I think Ipswich has to be my worst track, I just can't stay consistent there at all. Having said that, there was some good battles during the evening and still enjoyed it. Hopefully see you all next week, work permitting. Kruiz

Thanks for running the meeting Johno. Good racing I thought, no over the top hits really from what I could see and I made a rare final finish, the closest event to a roll was nearly going over someones bonnet (can't remember who), but got a good finish in the top 5 in the end. Well done Dave for winning the final. Hopefully I can make it next week. Kruiz

Yeah I knew that, had to do it in GCSE Geography a few years ago... it doesn't make it right though, shouldn't there be like world union or something (like the EU) but keeps the whole world under the same human rights act. Obviously that would just cause more wars as it seems to be human nature but that would make sense to me..

Oh my god I couldn't watch more than 5 seconds of it. Thats absolutely horrible.
-
Believe me Lee, when your behind that 136 car you've just got to bury it! Lol No wonder I do so well! 137 noted to dashboard..
-
It doesn't matter, I'm not holding any grudges.

Just a quick note MoR, I can't see Dubstar on the points? Maybe you forgot to add him as he was quite a late addition to the booking list.

Not a particularly good night for me, started off well by winning a heat but heat 3 was a disaster for all star grades getting caught up with each other from the start. The final was even worse, again a good start but didn't take me long to perfrom my 4th final roll of the season putting me out again. Then to round off a bad night, just as I thought I did everything right in the GN, I was leading into the last corner but then.. ..Tom 'slightly' messed up the last bender handing the win to Dave. Certainly the biggest non self inflicted crash I've been in. Well done Leek for being the first multi-final winner of the season. See you next week, Cheers Kruiz

THURSDAY 8TH MAY – HEDNESFORD - START TIME 9:00PM This Thursday sees the first official meeting at the superbly realistic, fact action-packed Hednesford Hills raceway. It is the last tarmac meeting before the UK Open in two weeks time so make sure you get booked in for some vital practise on the hard stuff. Hednesford is the first meeting in which the new grades come into affect and the end of the ‘active’ grading period. There have been a fair few grade changes after the first grading period so make sure you know your grade and choose the right coloured wing before racing. The grade changes can be found HERE. Remarkably so far there have been 7 meetings and 7 different final winners coming from all grades proving how incredibly open rFactor is. Kruiz #136 at Belle Vue MoR #137 at Kings Lynn Sybe #315 at Birmingham Hutch #331 at Bradford (Tarmac) Jimmy #259 at Ipswich LeeK #39 at Bradford (Shale) Dazza #290 at Kings Lynn ????? #??? at Hednesford Who will be rFactor’s John Lund and take his second final win of the season or will there be yet another new driver to add the list of rFactor final winners. All the lower grade final winners so far have come on tarmac so that could well be the case. REMEMBER, TOMORROW'S MEETING STARTS AT 9:00PM, SO BE IN CHAT FOR 8:50PM AS THE FIRST RACE WILL SET OFF AT 9:00PM. At the time of writing this, there are 12 cars booked in, with only only 4 star grade drivers booked it could be an ideal opportunity for lower graders to storm away and put points on the board. However I would hope and expect nearer or over 20 drivers to be booked in before Thursday evening. MoR will be your race manager for the evening and Johno will be your meeting steward. Hednesford is set to be a superb meeting if previous meetings this season are anything to go by, so make sure you get yourself booked in and be a part of it! Cheers Kruiz

Uploaded tarmac hi-res and new shale lo-res & hi-res earlier MoR. -
Mine used to be exactly the same as that and it ran ok. As Wrighty says though, a boost of ram and a better graphics card will make it look better than heat if your bothered about the way it looks.
