  1. I think you shouldn't be able to leave until on the infield, real drivers can't eacape and if a pile up happens so be it, thats what would naturally happen anyway. And as Iron says the overtaking thing won't happen. In a race we would all carry on anyway, thats what I love about this game, the amount of realistic freak accidents that occur.
  2. Thanks mate, good old ccclaner, working fine now Great work again mate
  3. OK, I'll reboot and try again Dam, it just keeps sending me to the same corrupted version I downloaded earlier. Any idea's so it will redownload the whole thing again instead of just directing me to the file I already have?
  4. OK, I'll reboot and try again
  5. Is there a problem with the hi-res video on TGG's site? I downloaded it but its only 13.8mb and plays for just 1 min 3 seconds? Then stops.
  6. I'm quite sure they are not, they are available in the BriSCA/BSCDA rule/hand book. You could try and ask on stoxnet.com, but I'm fairly confident they are not published online.
  7. Awesome video some really intersting and action filled shots, and the music has been great in all them. This one actually featured one of my favorite songs ever.
  8. Thanks mate
  9. Happy Birthday Biffo and Spike
  10. Kruiz 136 please
  11. Yeh my dad always says that about the more aggresive drivers of his generation come to think of it, Mo Smith, the squires etc. he said that they would be solid red tops if he they didn't hit everything in sight becuase it slows you down so much. Hopefully the rfactor team can make good use of these videos.
  12. Thats awesome Tinman, best RL skin I've seen for a long time. Any chance of making it red grade and uploading please? Kruiz
  13. I think flag marshalls would be a great addition personally. Also notice while doing the vids that you cant see the steering wheel move from exterior shots. Other mods do, and know also have their arms and body moving with the wheel. This would be a nice graphical improvement. How about small moveable marker cones on the inside of track where each grade has to line up? Also... does Birmingham have warp issues?? I saw 3 other people's replays in Round 2 Final which had minor warp, and it is the one track I have major issues with getting kicked from the server, not seeing any chat msgs, and not being lapscored resulting in me finishing last (not entirely the tracks fault though, partly down to my ISP) but I think it's worth just looking at as it is possible it could cause problems in the future, when people's connections aren't spot on. FYI I think there were 24 cars on the server on that occasion. On the subject of drivers, could there be an option in the upgrade part where you can change rims, sidepods etc to change the colour of driver's overalls? Only a small detail but would add a bit more variety in the grid.
  14. Just delete your cookies it should re-load fine. I've heard of 'armchair' fans (as we call those that only watch sport on the tv) but that's being really lazy now Jeff lol would be good to see you race a meeting at some point if possible. Cheers Kruiz, I try to involve everyone if I can and a little bit at random as I review the replay looking for action, but it can be a bit of a juggle, don't blame me if some of the mid-fielders sometimes get missed Not blaming you for anything mate, you've done a grand job From where I was the race wasn't that spectacular so I tried to liven it up a little, your video makes it look a lot more hectic than it was, at least from my perspective.
  15. Awesome video again Splinter, even my mum was impressed lol I think this is the first one I'm in and I'm in it a fair amount aswell, mostly I assume becuase of the trouble I kept getting myself into, and still finished 8th Superb Splinter, keep up the good work mate, can't wait to watch it in Hi-res
  16. I saw them last year at the Manchester evening news arena, and as you can imagine for those of you that have seen them, those beasts in such a small enclosed arena were absolutely deafening. 5 or 6 times louder than the funny car dragsters.....easily. They were very good though, I might have tried to get a ticket to watch them at Cardiff, had I known they were on. Good pictures Splinter & FreeW.
  17. I'm also saving the high res versions to show all the stock car enthusiasts whenever they come round to visit lol.
  18. Good meeting enjoyed it, can't wait to have my computer upgraded for next meeting hopefully, as I'm running all effects off, 800x600 16 bit and it still jumps, it looks worse than heat Happy to get my first win (not bad for a ps2 controller user, who needs wheels?? lol), but after that I had no luck at all, couldn't get in my second heat, spun out several times in third heat, severe damage led to a poor position in that after a good early run around 3rd - 5th for a while, and nothing went right in the GN and somehow it turned into a follow in challenge with Aub as my competitor, I certainly came off worse On the subject of contact again, I can certainly see where some people are coming from, perhaps they do spin out a little too easily (only a bit). Having closely watched the contact element at Kings Lynn this weekend (which turned out to be mostly tarmac after the heats anyway), the cars did recieve pushes, scrapes and knocks to rear wheels without spinning out, like they perhaps would in rfactor, so maybe a little more work needs to be done, but it really isn't very far off at all, a credit to all the developers of the game. Well done to LeeK on the final win and MoR for top scoring Thanks to Danskin for running it, Kruiz
  19. Awesome video Splinter, they just get better and better
  20. Kruiz 136 booking in
  21. How long ago was that taken Tosh? I'm sure I used to have that on my desktop some years ago. Looked very similar anyway
  22. Roughly translated, Loose - Oversteer - Back spins around on you Tight - Understeer - Front pushes on towards wall Dispite I myself having no idea what certain aspects of the garage do: Track bars, caster, harder and softer springs, etc I still wouldn't want to take the best drivers setups and I wouldnt be happy about having to post my own for others to use just becuse I had spent more time preparing than others. I spent less than 30 minutes on a set-up from scratch last night fir Drumbstick's league, and I ended up winning my heats, then I was contraversially upgraded to yellow for the final and I was 2nd only to Hutch and that was using a ps2 controller (who says you need a wheel?? ). So I would say that set-ups aren't overly important, more how you drive it IMO. I do however, think there should be some sort of guide to specify the effects of each component of the garage. Also, my dad was having a play on it earlier (becuase I wanted help setting up lol) and asks why you couldn't adjust stagger? He used to adjust it for different tracks when he raced real life, do drivers not adjust it anymore? Cheers Kruiz
  23. Todays stockcar's use customised gearbox's so that there are only 2 running gears. Gear 1 - pit road speed. Gear 2 - Lightening speed, erm I mean racing speed
  24. Yeh same, I got mine in less than an hour, I e-mailed them on Saturday afternoon (UK time)
  25. Thats what I did wit those Ippy shale setups you sent me MoR. They had something like 11 degrees lock and i put it up to 18, made a huge difference. Obviously with a pad its much more difficult so anything beyond 21 is just too much but if you have a higher wheel lock, even if it slows you dont by a tenth or two, I feel its better for saving spins. Onboard video of Brimingham can be found here: might give you some insight in contact on tarmac.
