I've been told on another thread that its my graphics card that isn't good enough (Radeon X300), but I can't afford another one right now, so was just having a go online to see how bad it was, but it wasn't particularly bad, having said that, there were only 6 of us in.

i still see his old one too lol I ran ccleaner and it changed in about 30 mins, don't know if that has any influence on it though?

Just to note Kruiz, or anyone who thinks their pc might have a fit with rF online, have you tried playing with the graphics settings? My PC used to go really jittery when online, so i used to go into the graphics settings in game and turn things like special effects and shadows to off, and if i needed to, i also knocked the opponent/player detail right down. Of course, this results in a far less pleasing visual experience, with no shadows and blurry skins, but u'll be able to enjoy racing with more cars a lot more smoothly. Whats more, presuming you've got rF set up to save all your replays, when your done online and fancy a look over them, you can turn your graphics settings back up and enjoy them in better quality if you wish, as it should be less strain on your pc as it isnt have to deal with online connections and the like anymore. I hope this helps. Cheers MoR PS - This is drastic, but recently I reformatted my pc, and that made a hell of a difference..... i can now race on full detail without a single problem, whereas before I was needed to exercise the steps above. Because of this, I'm looking at ways at keeping my pc clean, such as storing all my music on my external HD etc. Like i say, drastic, but I've noticed a difference. Yeah, everything is on minimum and it still struggles a bit and was reformatted less than 2 months ago. I think I will need to upgrade soon, but I'll have a go and see what happens anyway, sometimes its worse than other times. Cheers for the advice though MoR

If I'm not busy later, I may be able to put in a first appearance to try my computer to see how it copes with rFactor online, as I can'trace the meeting tomorrow as I will be at the real Belle Vue. I'm using a pad after 2 years of using a keyboard so could probably do with some practise as well.

Hi, I uploaded a new avatar of one of the renders that Aub did of my new F1 for me at least 24 hours ago now, and it still hasn't changed? I went on ukdirt in college earlier and it seemed to have changed but now I've logged back on at home its gone back to my old one. Any idea's? Cheers Kruiz

Excellent track, the only one I can actually get round fairly easily with a ps2 control so far after having a go at for a bit last night. Anybody got any lap times yet? I did a 14.7 after fiddling around with the setups a bit but its probably not much good seeing as I'm using a controller and have no idea what I'm doing setup wise lol. Cheers Kruiz

I'm very shocked and disapointed to here this, mostly because Aub & Hutch have rarely been 'off' with me in the past, in fact both have given me help advice on several occasions in the past. I was planning to have a go at rFactor this evening, but unfortunately due to matters beyond my control I couldn't, but if this is how new drivers, in what is ultimately a new and challenging game, are treated then I very much doubt I will race next week either. I thought rFactor were trying to attract more drivers?

I simply can't believe this, first Richard Burns, now Colin McRae, my two favorite rally drivers. RIP Colin

To be honest, despite being just 16 myself, I feel the swearing on the forum has got slightly out of hand. I have used the 'report' button in the past, and it did work as far as I know (unless the member/s I reported were banned for another reason), but it would take hours to report all the swearing if I were to do it today. In regards to Trash's post about why some of the more older drivers are leaving ukdirt, I am in complete agreement, F1 & F2 (especially F2) has got to the point IMO where if you give anybody a decent hit into a corner, you WILL be put up the wall/fence next corner and/or be moaned at afterwards. I for one very rarely complain about anyone hitting unless its dirty (turning right for example) and sometimes I even let that go. Sometimes it makes me wonder how many members of ukdirt have actually been to real life F1 or F2 meeting, they will then learn that it is actually just as much about speed as it is about using the bumper. Rant over, I'll go and do my homework now.... Cheers Kruiz

Yeah I had the same thing a few months back, very rarely do I get my password incorrect, certainly not 5 times in a row. (I'm on here too often to forget it )

Congratulations to both you

All heat tracks were made way too big (Im aware that it was done purposely for better online play). I hope all rFactor tracks are made as realistic as possible as its a greater challenge to drive on unforgiving, tight tracks where not JUST set ups are the things that win you races.

Thanks very much Erik, thats the one I was looking for I've looked on about 40 - 50 sites and not that one Thanks again m8
