  1. Thanks for the prompt reply Stu, glad to hear that it seems to have worked nice for you, I think I'll definitely consider fitting the home hub in over the easter. Thanks again MoR
  2. Sorry this is a little off topic..... With regards the BT Home Hub Trash (I'm presuming your not using the wireless aspect cause of online racing problems etc, correct me if i'm wrong), is it any good? I got upgraded from 1meg broadband to 3meg by BT a few months back and they also sent me one of those. I hate networks and trying to get stuff like internet connections running through them, it's never an easy job for me, so i've been reluctant to use it, so i'm still on my old BT Voyager 100 modem. However, the connection has been rubbish as of late with disconnecting, and I even disco'd from the final on thursday (I haven't disco'd from racing for 2 years now) so i'm kind of suspecting that my old modem is struggling to cope (i first received it when i got 512 broadband 3 and a half years ago). I've heard a mixed bag of reports about the home hub, so just wondered how easy to whole thing is to set up for the internet. Can i still use my D-Link router for the network or would it work better if i used the router aspect of the home hub? Thanks, sorry for all the questions, I didn't want to have that large chunk of cheap white plastic cluttering up my desktop but its looking like one of the few options left..... Cheers MoR
  3. Happy Birthday Grass

    169 New cars

Great work Rollcage, always great to see new skins on new chassis that i've made, really is the icing on the cake. They look superb, two of the best that i've seen this year, well done m8!
  6. cheers binney for the quick reply m8 Download the briscas template tosh, its on there as a hidden layer. Just copy and past that over to your new template.
  7. Superb
  8. Top skins all, really is looking to be a season of smart cars! Anyway, here's my tarmac car (another yarrow, sorry Kruiz ) i suppose it's similar to last years, but i've tried to improve on the bits i didn't like from last years (wing numbers/thompson logo/fwj logo) and generally tidy it up. I'm happy with it anyway. [attachmentid=13740] [attachmentid=13741] [attachmentid=13742] Keep up the good work all. Cheers MoR
  9. NP, but don't forget Lee, he mentioned it first!
  10. Yep, lee is right, this one on the text window......... [attachmentid=13378] Tis easily done really, there's a shortcut for it on the keyboard which is easy enough to bash by accident, i do it all the time lol!
  11. I think there was an attempt for them to be sent out, but i didn't get it, so i logged into the ukdirt website and clicked the link that said 'click here to be resent the payment details'. The email then appeared instantly, but in my junk mail, so you might want to check carefully in there. Hope this helps. Cheers MoR
  12. Happy Birthday David!
  13. R.I.P, what a sad loss, condolences to the Lund Family
  14. Congrats Craig and Emma
  15. Hi LSF Thats the headnet, i believe (though not 100%) that it stops the drivers head/neck jolting too far when they hit the fence (you may notice that its on the fence side of the car). I've looked at my template and it doesn't look like it's mapped onto the template......... check your tga and see if it has anything red on it? Otherwise, its probably a colour/texture which is packed into the car itself (much like the dials on the dash are, amongst others) which obviously cannot be changed though. I wouldn't worry thought, it doesn't spoil the car at all, nice work
  16. Happy Birthday Dan
  17. Good Work Kruiz, nice to see somebody trying something different with colours, blending effects and layout (the wing stands out for me as very unique). You've knocked up a tidy skin there, and it definitely did not deserve the roasting its got on this thread
  18. Congratulations to the both of you
  19. Merry Christmas all
  20. On the subject of Micra's here's a pic of the aforementioned car, my pride and joy.... [attachmentid=11784] I think i was quite lucky with this one, only had 17000 miles on the clock when i brought it (october 05). The previous owner brought it brand new when they were just introducing the new 'bubble' micras so we think she got a few extras thrown in as well, alloy wheels, metallic paint, etc, for maybe less than she would've paid otherwise. I think personally it looks quite smart, my only gripe really is that the dash looks a bit dated and boxy really. Seems extremely reliable atm, I've done 6000 miles since i passed in march and not even had a hint of a problem (touch wood). As i said before, will keep me happy until I'm working full time and can afford something brand new. Great cars chaps, interesting stuff to see what people drive
  21. 2002 Nissan Micra 1.0L. Has a great little engine in it with a lot of oomph..... not a car person really, buts its 16v twin cam, so that might mean something to you all. You can laugh, but I'm sure allan will be along any minute to fight the Micra's corner Brilliant little car and will keep me happy for a few years yet!
  22. Whoops, got it a bit wrong, its the top of the 'e' that showing on the scoop..........
  23. Developing on what Allan said (all of which i agree entirely with), its definitely an improvement on the last one, but don't forget, you've got all winter until the new season yet so you have tons of time to improve it and really get it spot on. One thing you are very good at Samson is taking the advice given to you by others and using it, not just expecting 100% positive comments all the time. However, if you are happy with what you have created, then nobody else's opinions matter, your the one who will be racing it week in week out! My personal preference is that 'coachlining' is a must on all F1s/F2s, and the difference it makes to your Asmith compared to your briscan (in regards looking like a real life car) is significant i think. However, am i right in saying that saying that you used the ones that came with the Asmith template? I personally always redo them, as PSP7 seemingly has better tools to 'anti-alias' them - in other words smooth the lines out so they aren't so jagged and pixel-y when you look at them. If your preference is Photoshop, then don't forget that PSP7 can open psd files, so just doing the lines in PSP then everything else in Photoshop is extremely easy. One thing that also caught my eye on the briscan was on the right side; the 'wavey' burgoyne has overlapped into the side of the scoop on the template, and you can see the top bit of the 'n' on the scoop in the render. Someone once said to me (maybe Dragon/Jonnyboy) that it is the little things on a skin which make a big difference, which is one of the best pieces of advice that i ever had. Keep up the good work, its definitely improving. Cheers MoR
  24. Congratulations Lakey and Toni!
  25. When i joined UKDirt (March 03) i didnt want to have my usual forum nick of craigtaylor137, so i went and had a chat with dad to see if he could come up with owt, and he was painting a slotstox body for himself at the time, and down the side he had painted Master of Reality. This wasn't a nickname for him or anything, it was just one of his favourite Black Sabbath albums. I decided to go with that, rather stupidly, cause now i think its a terrible nickname. The first few months here i was being called 'master' for short, but eventually everyone started saying 'mor', i then put it on my car, and i noted the use of uppercase letters and lowercase letters which eventually stuck at me just being 'MoR' (some people seem to think the use of uppercase and lowercase is that crap thing people do when they put thier name LiKe ThIs oN MsN, lol). And if you meet me, don't every call me 'More', it just confuses me, Mad Mick once did that to me at Hendo, he came up to me saying 'Are you more?' and i replied with 'more what?'
