i know what you mean and i completely agree, i was thinking more for ideas about how people approach the numbers, there are lots of ways you could go about it. looking through what others had done helped me get what i got, i looked at what i liked and took my own slant on it, my bonnet flags are a prime example saw something similar but added the gradient to suit my self.
