Hello Guys, With 16 cars booked in for tonight's meeting, we will check the format that you want to run in chat. We will all still get 3 heats, but it is up to you if you want them all in or 3 from 4. We will run the graded races too as long as everyone is happy with that. Then of course we will have a final and a closed grid, grades within grade grand national. YOU CAN STILL HAVE A BOOKING FOR TONIGHT'SMEETING IF YOU WISH. We will meet in chat at 8:25pm. Cheers Johno

UK DIRT RFACTOR F1 WINTER SERIES Hello Guys, As is now common with rFactor, the UK Dirt F1 Admin Team will be running a small Winter Series, using the real life cars. This year we are aiming to try out 2 new tracks and see if they are suitable to use in the season. We are also putting in 2 regular tracks to help out those newcomers to the league. Add to that the indoor meeting and the Winter Series should have some god variety. The winter series will be run over 5 meetings, using the real life F1 skins in the new version of the mod (version 1.4). So in order to take part in the series, you will need to register for a skin. The dates for the series are as follows: Thursday 6th January Belle Vue Thursday 13th January Nutts Corner Thursday 20th January NEC Thursday 27th January Mildenhall Thursday 4th February Winter Series Finale (Double Points) Northampton All meetings will start at 8:30pm and will be run in accordance with the UK Dirt rules, which can be found on the UK Dirt site, by clicking League information > rules > league rules > Rfactor F1. Meeting Format : - W+Y’s race plus B, R and S/S race. - Heats (each driver will race in 3 heats) - Final - GN (Closed grid, grades within grades) This will hopefully give everyone a bit of variety, and also give people the chance to sample the different type of races within UK Dirt. The Winter Series now has a little bit of history which looks as follows: Winter Series Points Champion 2008 Drumbstick 2009 Tosh 2010 TomD Winter Series Shootout Champion 2008 Drumbstick 2009 TomD 2010 Mike So what are you waiting for – get your real life skin registered, and wait for the winter series to commence. And if you have not already downloaded the new update, then this is the perfect reason to do so!! Cheers Johno

Hello Guys, We are still finalising the full details for the Winter Series (ie full fixtures, meeting format and more) but I can confirm that the first meeting will be this Thursday at Belle Vue starting at 8:30pm. Book in using your grade from last year. This may change slightly once we have discussed grades, but I will keep an up to date list on here. EDIT: We will be using F1 Stockcars V1.4 so therefore you will need to register a skin to race in the meeting. SEE HERE. I can see what your saying Hooty but the forum has been very quiet the past couple of weeks. I think people are always grateful it is just that nowadays they don't tend to show it. Some of course dn't come on here over the festive period. Then again, getting people to respond to things is getting harder and harder as is shown by the awards that we have seen so far. Anyway, thanks very much to all the guys from UKSOM that have have taken the time to update he mod once again. I was fortunate enough to be one of the first to check the download before it was released and thus had a play with some of the new cars. I must say, they have done a superb job once again. I can also confirm that we will be running a Winter Series using this mod starting next Thursday. I will attach a Skins thread later in the day and then confirm full details this weekend once we have confim everything on the Admin front. Cheers Johno

Just noticed this - Happy Birthday sir - I hope you had a great day!!

Hello Paul, Are you bored during the off season already that you have taken to do it on the computer? Nice to see you on here. It's a shame you wernt here last week as you would have been more than welcome to join us for our final meeting of the 2010 season. Of course, you would be more than welcome to join us during the new season, and perhaps a Winter Series? By the sounds of the practise above, you might want to look for the Cowdenbeath meeting which will probably be in June!! In terms of skins, UKSOM do a superb job of updating the mod when they have the time, normally once a year. Last time I spoke to one of their members, he thought there would be one in the near future. It would be great to have your 'British winged cars' in the game. Anyway, hope to perhaps race against you over the internet in the near future Cheers Johno

First of all, thanks to Kev for running the meeting. There were lots of races and it was run really well. It was superb to see such a good attendance on Thursday night. Some old faces came back for the meeting (Hutch, Mart, Hooty and Rebel to name a few) and along with some drivers thathave not been around in recent weeks (Dode, Maverick, Matthew etc), it really added to the meeting. I thought the semi finals and the Heat races are the night were simply epic. There was quality racing with no quarter given by any grades. No one around me were following each other in or makng any 'dirty moves' but instead scrapping hard for their position and making sure that us higher grade drivers had to work for ourt positions. The later races with more cars got a little more tasty, but that is to be expected. Just one or two drivers took things a little to far, but in the main the racing continued to be hard but fair. I must say, despite the fact I have not gone well in the quarter oif the season, I really think the racing has been simply sensational. Numbers have not quite what was expected, but the racing certainly has. I do hope that it continues into 2011 and with the possiblilty of new Tarmac physics for the F1's, it should make for a very interesting start to the new season. Finally, thanks to Admin for running the league once again this season. Without them the league would not work and knowing most of them well, I know hoow much hard work they put it. Finally, thanks to everyone that supported the league during the season. As I stated, the racing has at times been out of this world this year, as more and more people get to grips with the game. I do hope that the quality of racing continues into the new season. Cheers Johno

Good little write up Kev - and numbers are increasing slowly. Let's try and make sure that this is a superb meeting. I was going to try and get a server up at the end of the saloon meeting, but I am afraid I wont be around. Perhaps the second server could go up as one person queried with me about possible practise. Cheers Johno -
Skins for Rebel - thanks to LeeK. 77smiT.zip Cheers Johno

THURS 25TH NOV: 10 Year Anniversary Meeting - Birmingham
Johno3 replied to Johno3's topic in F1 (rFactor)
Just to get the taste buds going for this meeting early on...... I have just recieved a pm asking for information from a 2xNational Points Champion and multi-time British Champion. I also have heard rumours that a former World and National Points Champion will also be making an outing. Get yourselves booked in guys. Cheers Johno -
Another superb meeting. Thanks Kev for sorting it all out. I thought the racing was absolutely fantastic last night. Good scraps throughout the night. Well done to TomD on winning the points for the second year on the trot. Cheers Johno

Hello All, I just want to post a slightly early warning about the UK DIRT F1 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL MEETING. General Admin have given permission for anyone who has raced UK DIRT F1 in the last 10 years (who are not currently banned) to take part in the meeting. If you know anyone that would like to take part in the meeting, then please get in touch with them on our behalf or suggest their names so I can speak to them. We really want to try and make this an epic meeting, similar to the Heat F1 meeting that we pulled off just over a year ago. In order to do this, we need you support and help to track down some of the drivers from yester-year. There will be a skinpack for this meeting, so don’t worry if you don’t currently have a skin in the league packs. If you have any queries, feel free to reply to this PM, contact a member of the F1 Admin Team or myself, as I will be helping out. Cheers Johno

Brisca F1 Triple World Champion Contemplating an rFactor career!!
Johno3 replied to Mav's topic in F1 (rFactor)
Totally agree with Grasser. Lovely moment and thanks for sharing it. We sometimes take for granted how much time these guys put into the league as most of us just turn up and race. Well done to them also once again. Cheers Johno -
Good write up Dazza. Very nice to see some fresh faces again - Matty, Janharm and Skeet. Cheers Johno

Could Southy have a booking Kev - heis just sorting out his wheel Cheers Johno

Thanks to James for running the meeting. Well done to Murf for winning the final and to Hutch for being the top points scorer. I really enjoyed the racing tonight. There were some really good battles throughout the field and I thought the racing was absolutely superb. Struggled a little bit more when the bumpers went flying in come DFC time, but still really enjoyed the battles with the lower grade drivers. It feels like pot calling kettle black a little here, because I was forever moaned at about starts when I was on F1 Admin, but in the meeting final I was actually in second gear before the go had been called. The starts in the early part of the meeting were realy good but then went downhill to the point where I was doing over 30 in the final to keep up. I have always said as long as the grade gaps stay the same then it is alright, but this is really fast. Anyway, thanks for a superb night. Perhaps my last one of the year, although I hope work allows for at least one outing on the shale as I have not had a go on the shale just yet. Cheers Johno

Come on guys - not many meetings left before F1 has a longer break than last year. Then end of the season looks fantastic - get yourselves booked in. Cheers Johno

Done...... cheeky sod! Great write up It's a good job you did - I know where you live now!! Johno

Just adding the poster. Perhaps some nice member of Admin will attach it to the above post. Also bumping this to the top so everyone is aware of the meeting. It really has the potential to be a classic. Plenty of races on the day, all it needs is the drivers. And that MoR betterget booked in after what he had to say on the results thread Cheers Johno
