  1. aye that's to do but i'm not talking to you anyway....'a bit like a dk'???? lol <huffs>, so i'm not talking to y......oh wait.... oh yeah btw <facepalm>....wrong chassis leech Palmer's used the same livery previously but i'm trying not to have 08 skins from an 08 chassis on the standard randall we have at the moment. I don't know if you want to hang on to the psd so when there's a proper 08 chassis it can be transferred over.....
  2. oops nearly forgot, promised wip pics didnt i lots to do still but lots done
  3. wow really nice also Kyle, well done . Looking forward to seeing both dds's up close on my pc now
  4. very nice Leech, should be a welcome addition to the update
  5. Those of you who're producing (the excellent) f2 rf skins...... REGISTER AT UKSOM INDEX!!!! Then read This thread for real F2 skins. Seems easier than the two of you painting the same skin lol. Post what you're doing, screenshots etc etc..... I've got several skins already from Gary, some of which will definitely be in the next update but there's always room for more (on the correct chassis) of course. oh btw, pics of the dk chassis may be popped on here tonight if i get round to it
  6. aye sorry, because the patch includes a modified rfm file (version number, tracks added to season list), the installers has two folders inside a main rfactor folder (gamedata and rfm) so the default path is just c:\program files as dave said
  7. God loves a trier, or so they say Montoya qualifying run for this weekend
  8. i can, it's a photoshop job i believe but we are making preliminary investigations......
  9. Superb! I can smell the jungle juice from here
  10. 'bout time you got yer hand in yer pocket, ya tight git (car looks well though......i get bugged occasionally for superstar lights but then again i get bugged occasionally by the dog for a walk and that doesn't happen much....all good things come to those who wait lol)
  11. Hi all, Please follow the link below for the patch to the rFactor F2s mod, which has various small fixes and tweaks in, as follows: 1: Night-lighting now fixed on Bingley and Randall chassis, 2: Spinner texture blur now fixed on the DKB chassis, 3: Randall shadow fixed (double-wing-shadow now cured), 4: Bingley upgrade nerf top panel now visible from in-car, 5: Steering wheel visible error on Bingley fixed. 6: Fuel capacity reduced to 10 litres (the capacity in the tank was bigger than the physical capacity for the tank size) As mentioned, this is a MANDATORY DOWNLOAD for next week's meeting and the server now has this version installed. Please note, if you do not install this version you will see an rFm and HDV mismatch to the server so this is an URGENT download. This installs over your existing install so there is no need to remove any files from the mod folder, but it is recommended you remove your F2stockcars.cch from C:\Program Files\rFactor\UserData\<your player name>. Click here for F2 v1.01 patch Many thanks.............Wrighty on behalf of UKSOM ps (added) - many thanks to LeeK for the links and server work, server .91 is now set to F2 v1.01 so you can test in good time before Monday's CSF meeting.
  12. .....are now available from the links below: Onchan and Skegness Both tracks now feature full floodlights and pitlights, Onchan has some crowd, both tracks have startlights. If your offline game has the race start time as 'track default' you'll race under the lights. Finally, both tracks have revised trackside camera positions. Delete both tracks from your rfactor locations folder and install these in their place by extracting the track folder from the rar and then moving the folder into your locations folder. Remember to delete your old Onchan and Skegness HAT files before use. Many thanks.............Wrighty on behalf of UKSOM

  14. what setting did you change between first try and this loop problem occuring please? it obv doesn't like something in the config that you've set so it might be worth trying to change that setting back to how it was originally and try it to see if it works again. I did read somewhere that you can remove the config.ini and then redo your settings to create a new one - would windows 7 be restricting the config.ini saving your amended settings?
  15. erm no bloomin idea tbh, there's no upgrade file for your car on the server that would over-ride your pc.....either you've only selected the item in upgrade but not bought it or you've bought it on the shale car but not the tar car....aside of those i'm not sure tbh
  16. couldnt find the thread, link for the software is as follows: http://visualroute.visualware.co.uk/ 15 day trial software, try it through the day and on an evening to see if your pings (try pinging to the Jolt server IPs) are going astray
  17. Jamesy, If you do a board search for a subject called 'Pipex woes' (i think it was, just search 'Pipex') that we had on here last year (or 2007 maybe tbh), i posted details there of a piece of software called 'traceroute', which can be used to check whether your connection to the server is dropping pings. It sounds very similar to the problems we were having with pipex then, in that your connection is fine and stable off-peak, but goes haywire during evening peak time. I'll have a deeper look tonight when i get home Wrighty
  18. looks good, fancying a blarst (thats posh talk)........any chance of the server getting set to BV please? *edit* oops must read thread, cheers tosh lol
  19. well yeah, i can only concur with your assessment.....i was in for best part of an hour from 6pm to try and get to grips with it (and didnt, hence no booking) and i didn't see anyone else in the server, so they were either all completely ready......or not.....the latter seems accurate ah well, cyas soon
  20. check the sound input/output settings in control panel m8, you may find you have to enable the socket or something (lest people plug headphones into a speaker socket and deafen themselves and sue the manufacturer or something equally ridiculous)
  21. i'm using 8500gt with 1gb onboard graphics ram, and 1gb 'normal' ram, rfactor works fine (not perfect but not sh1te lol) Thanks mate wasnt too sure if id need to upgrade but sound like its going to do me for now lol no probs i've only got 2gb single core cpu and 1gb ram but the card with 1gb onboard ram makes a helluva difference tbh, best 40 quid investment i've made in a while
