  1. aye thanks for ALL OF THE BITS lol, a wee tester, found a couple of fixes needed now but thats usual, cheers again to le daub for the hard work and you for the original hard work
  2. Just to add for Walker 'and the others who agree', i've been working on the f2 chassis, the physics was a group effort.....the physics are excellent now, hopefully you'll agree but tbh i've had a few days off from max....never forget its a hobby, it gets really wearing just doing night after night after night on the same car and sometimes we need a break otherwise it just gets like work.....if i get peed off with it, it takes ages to get back into it, trust me. If we got paid.....it wouldn't help tbh, its not that kind of thing
  3. Congratulations are in order for Mr. Skinner this week He passed his tour pro test on Shot Online
  4. Thread of the year . I only saved the thumbnail of the pic so hopefully some surround's allowed?
  5. The pen tool does work well once you get used to it......you can set the line widths a little better than with shading and, if you use the pen tool as a vector it creates a new layer and you can right-click on it and select 'edit mode' to manipulate the path before you apply (which basically finishes it, meaning you can't edit afterwards). One other handy tip (well i use it lol), if you need a thin outline and you start losing the the opacity in curves etc, use a thicker line and follow the edge of the item you want to outline so your edge is half on/half off the item. When your path is done and applied, change to a raster layer then move the layer below the layer with the item on the inside half is hidden by the item but you'll get stronger colour for the part of the path that's still visible, then merge the item down onto the path to complete
  6. no, they're fine m8. Download and install Winrar if you don't have it already and open the file as you've downloaded it. Extract the contents to desktop and install. If it's a track folder then move this to c:/program files/rFactor/gamedata/locations, if it's an exe then run the exe and it'll install the track to the correct location
  7. to run knockhill properly, you need to set to DX9 in rfactor config (go to start>all programs>rfactor from your taskbar, rfconfig's in the rfactor folder in there) and set to DX9 there so it's permanently set AND in your ingame graphics settings, set to 'full track detail'. It's a track issue but it has to be set this way for Knockhill.
  8. Matty, I had complete horror stories about pipex and ended up changing ISPs after much discussion with them so that my current contract could be torn up. Spinter had the same, as did DaveW iirc, the basis of the problem being during times of heavier traffic (i.e. all evenings) they prioritise http (basically browser) traffic over the 'solid' connection we need for online gaming. I ended up running tracer software that sent ping packets out and monitored all of the hops along the way to their destination and back. A packet sent to the rfactor matchmaker (the server list, match.rfactor.net) would go through my local exchange, down to a regional hub, then cross to Holland, through to France, then back to london!! before it crossed the pond to the US....the European jaunt was so they used tiscali's network rather than having to 'rent' bandwidth on BTs network, and the 'http prioritising' meant that during peak times the packet drop (pings sent out that didn't return) was up to 40%, so as your game relies on pings to and from the server, the unreturned pings are what's probably causing your high figures. For tracing your ping routes, you might want to try something like this software, its only a 15 day trial but it might give you an idea of how the network's performing, especially during the evenings when your game connection is suffering. In the end, i managed to argue with them that the pipex connection wasn't 'fit for purpose' based on the terms of contract.
  9. excellent m8, good format, easy to read and the change to PDF's an excellent idea
  10. i've used corel/psp10 m8, its not bad tbh, they kept more of psp in it re: free fonts too Bobbert, i can recommend dafont, its all free, lots to choose from, well categorized and it has a 'custom preview' feature where you can type in what you want and then see it in the fonts in their lists. To install the font, download it to your desktop and then unzip to a new folder. Once you can see the font properly (you'll see a file with a TT on it if it's a true type font), select 'move this file' and then send it to your windows/fonts folder. You should see a dialogue box that says the font is being installed, don't worry, this is normal but i find that a more effective way of transferring the font than copy/pasting oh and say goodbye to your social life if you start enjoying it haha good luck m8.........wrighy
  11. Wow haadee that Bel-Air's absolutely gorgeous, just about my favourite Yank classic and you've done a really lovely job, well done m8
  12. it still works in the same way for psp m8, just drop the dds converter into your psp9/plugins folder (i think, its been a while since i installed mine) but i only work in psp and the dds converter works perfectly for me........its the ideas for the skins that usually lets me down <added> found MoRs painting thread for rF which includes the download link and an explanation for installing the plugin for psp
  13. And you can get that idea straight out your head my boy! any messing about you will be kicked and that goes for any one else!. you can take the boy out of the banger, but you can't take the banger out of the boy.... <sighs> might be there but if i get a decent finish it's probably chewy driving
  14. *i've since been advised that you need to re-activate anyway (i think for version 1.255), contact trymedia first and see if u can recover your details m8
  15. hi mitch, i'm not sure you need the original details if you've already got the first version (1050?) installed. If you use your search on the pc and search for a folder called 'Trymedia' that contains your licence file (i'm on xp, in xp the folders in c:documents and settings/all users/application data), so copy that folder to desktop before you download and install the updates, but you should be ok without your original registration data. Failing that, if you can remember the e-mail address you used to make the purchase, you can contact sales (at) trymedia with your details of your original email address and then your current email address and they'll reactivate you from that information.
  16. probably the biggest pair of tits that cage has seen in ages
  17. Many congratulations to you both on your new arrival
  18. I used american blueprints :L, dunno how to switch it over without redoing it all, I like the front how it is And i'll get some better renders soon. re: switching it to right hand drive, if you have all of the interior attached together as one object and the origin point of the object at 0,0,0 u can 'flip' it with tools>mirror, mirror axis set to x, no clone, that would flip it to right hand drive . depending on things like dash layout u can either flip it that way or, if you have the object origins centred to each object, just change the y figure in the bottom readout from + to - or vice versa to move the object to the other side without mirroring.
  19. i've had to handle a banger skin on his behalf, please unlock his account <reaches for swarfega>
