  1. Hi Hegg, Tutorials aren't the whole story, tbh practice is the best thing....getting used to the techniques you use the most, whether it be making panels, lofting (to make rollcages and frames etc), mapping etc......i can recommend this site , as the tutorials in here are the ones you'll use most if you're hoping to model loons and tooz . If i was to offer one piece of advice it is to prepare to forego any 'normal human' activities, like having a familyor a social life, modelling tends to ignore all that guff good luck m8, have a go through some of the tutorials on there, they seem well written which is half the battle....practice one a few times so you get the specifics into your head, then try something else and bed that in too.....take the time and dont expect miracles straight away and you'll have a lot of fun, but dont expect instant results, 3d can be very frustrating too but stick with it
  2. yes, yes, you mentioned that already several times but the fact remains you arent showing any EVIDENCE!!! The fact remains that who hacks YOUR board is YOUR business, but it does NOT give you the right to hack someone elses account!! (and bear in mind technically I believe you're in contravention of the Data Protection Act by accessing someones private account without their consent.....). Various admin members have already told you quite clearly on here that if you have proof that a UK Dirt member has hacked your account they'll receive a ban, but for God's sake will you stop this 'vigilante of justice' crap....you're accusing my friends and (unpaid) colleagues of hacking yet you aren't showing any PROOF!!! Speaking from a purely selfush point of view that you probably don't give two sh*ts about, i'm part of a group who've spent two years of their free time producing mods for rFactor and this place was the main focus for that.....two years of unpaid free time making things that (some) people want to race within an organised league structure, so when you turn up for your meeting once a week you're seeing the tip of a bloody large iceberg. Here you are telling us that it's all corrupt because one of your mates thinks he's been unfairly banned.....APPEAL ffs!!! state your case and let admin state theirs, but for god's sakes try behaving like a grown-up instead of this pathetic 'well they did it to us' crap. ps - i've been in LeeK's position where the same driver/s spoil your racing and i have 100% support for his case....you seem to forget that he's paid to race here, same as Steve and Nath did..... so lets see your evidence eh? start putting your money where your mouth is instead of just braying on that 'you know who it was'........UK Dirt has operated for a long time and I hope, despite the damage you've caused here, that it will continue to do so.....if UK Dirt has to learn lessons from this episode i'm sure it will, but your 'face fits' argument really doesn't cut the mustard Vinny, lets see your proof so UK Dirt can deal with their 'hackers'
  3. where's the proof of who hacked Plonk board please Vinny? we're dying to know........never mind sniping about board rules on here, try proving your argument for once!!
  4. i'm sure vinny'll be leaping forward to run the league m8, he seems so concerned that it's all run in a fair and reasonable manner..... WHERE'S YOUR EVIDENCE VINNY? SHOW WHO HACKED IN TO PLONK PLEASE, WE WANT PROOF
  5. better show us all this superb evidence then m8, you seem to forget that the admin do a lot more than just sh*t on your mates....... lets see the evidence then?
  6. if its definitely on dx9 (and bear in mind if its on auto it may flip in and out of dx9 through the loading process) and full detail you may need to re-download.....was this your first try with the track or had it been working? have you installed anything since you installed cowdie if it has worked before?
  7. blimey thats really really good rods are fabulous fun, havent even tried the ones (or the tooz hehe) there yet, the rods is addictive enough, many congratulations Cowie
  8. That looks (i think) like a detail level problem, the startlight (i suspect the traffic lights) may be dx9 only, try it with dx9.....if the problem persists, increase your track detail levels . Given there isn't lots reporting the same issue it looks like a settings problem rather than a track problem but try dx9 (click your start button and then go to the rFconfig to force dx9) first then the track detail 2nd, one of them should sort it
  9. Account Unlocked. damn missed a chance there hope you're well JB
  10. Happy Birthday Kev hope you have a good 'un
  11. i'm biased but i'd normally recommend paintshop pro (i use version 9 but 7 was perfectly acceptable for making skins with)......paintshop pro opens and creates psd (photoshop) files but photoshop doesnt offer psp compatability and uses features that paintshop cant support....most of the time there isn't a problem but if a template is made in photoshop it only works in photoshop so you might be better off looking for that tbh
  12. if they're add-in mods just move the relevant files/folders out of the main directory (or alternatively back up the game folder as it is now then delete what you dont want from your main game folder) BUT......i wouldn't recommend you delete any of the default ISI stuff thats in there, cars or tracks, lots of mods use the default files (sound, textures etc) so you might give yourself a problem if you remove the default stuff so be careful m8
  13. Many happy returns m8 and best wishes.......you starring in the new remake of 'The Fugitive'? 'It was the one-armed man, I tell you!!' Happy Birthday neebur
  14. you havent said which version but if you go start>all programs>autodesk>3d max there should be a 'change graphics mode' option. select that and let it launch, try selecting OpenGL if it's set to direct3d, i've always used openGL in version 3 and version 8 hope it works, let us know please
  15. hi kruiz i got involved in a discussion on ftooz about trailer braking, might be worth having a read through when you go to look at trailers with regard to braking laws etc.....if you do a general search in ftooz for trailer there's lots of info. Cabs teaches me about trailer braking
  16. so there you have it it's a photoshop-only template Aussie m8 (none of the formats shown there that are listed in psp use layers, psp tries to flatten them all i'm afraid m8, i just tried em) psd-only templates? are you sure its a good mod?
  17. guess its the layer structure that psp's losing then......i haven't got my photoshop installer any more since my hd got burned and from my recollections i don't think photoshop offers a psp format for saving in the same way that paintshop offers a psd 'save as' so i dont know what to suggest aside of downloading photoshop demo (463mb...yummy) sorry I couldn't be more help m8 erik (earache sorry), can you have a look at the 'save as' options in photoshop please? i'm not sure what format's are on offer for save that would stay multi-layered apart from psp and psd, could you (or someone with a bit of paint suss) have a look please?
  18. i've just downloaded and opened them m8 and just got an 'unsupported features' error then it opened in flat form (i.e. background layer only)......ill have a rummage for a photoslop (spelling is correct) demo that i can open these with to see if they should be multi-layered, giz a few mins
  19. Hi, It's because the championship feature in nascar heat uses practice and qualifying for each race, but the UK short oval tracks don't have pitlanes, hence the game crashes. Welcome to the forum all the best......Wrighty
  20. i loved it havent raced in ages and to get involved in the dual-formula meet was really fun, although (in response to the posts about waiting in chat in the other thread) tbh i was glad of the break when i missed a heat so hey ho the racing was brilliant all night, the F1s were better behaved than i expected given some of the posts on here lol and the rods were great fayre all evening, it was a pleasure to be racing Splinter m8, reconsider please, hope to speak soon brilliant night and i can understand the misgivings about the 2-day meet, but speaking from the perspective of someone who didnt qualify, i think it has merits....if you want to be seeded to the big race, erm several were, league points was it? thanks to Jarry, Johno, Jimmy and Kev great night
  21. lol cracking pic i had the same problem last night as you're aware, and to cure it i did the following..... download all of this years packs lol (or dive into the saved folder like i did) make a new folder on desktop, take the path amd copy.... run each installer in order, and paste the desktop folder path into each installer when it asks for the target path. when you're done, copy the contents from your new folder to your tarmacOL/ukdirt skins it cured mine, its a faff, pm me if u wanna msn it but it does work can be sorted before skeg
  22. Both directions working fine here MoR (full settings and dx9, xp sp1) everything looks excellent loading screens are fabulous
  23. when you save your tga file, click the options box and select 24-bit uncompressed then save.
  24. i had a !bad args: smith=world! error on sunday, you should've posted earlier ps, this thread is, of course, pertinent to recent topics but while indulging in the banter i would like to say that the comments made are taken and considered for future.....we may seem like mickey-taking gits but it is worth asking the question
