Hi Southy, The Randall cab sides are part of the normal template so paint them as you would normally or overpaint with your grade colour on the 'wing colour' layer of the template (i normally duplicate the wing colour template 3 times so i have a separate layer for each grade colour and then duplicate the wing colour block into that layer also...its just easier to keep track that way when dds'ing). Remember the Randall didn't originally have removable cab sides...it was modified to an upgrade to suit a couple or real skins (which didn't come through as it happens lol)...had it been planned from the start i wouldve split the panel on the template to give a crisp paint edge at the join but with a dozen skins existing to the old pattern it was gonna be too much work to rectify em all so the temp stayed as it is now...
  4. lol you buffoon......i was a tad disappointed of course (mostly by your lad's complete lack of class and/or taste for a proper racing challenge) but more down to the fact that i was sufficiently short of funds that i not only had to miss Skeg but am also living on a diet of hedgerow berries and roadkill until i get paid again......add to that the fact that Vodafone are sufficiently incompetent that they sent me a mobile on upgrade that was BLOCKED!!! and they've managed to take a week and a half to click one button (the unblock one) that i confess my attentions have been concentrated elsewhere....mostly involving sharp interactions between my right foot and the dog's RCE. The time hasn't been wasted though......i'll sort you out some pics....just not from my phone grrrr lol.

Hi all, I've made an add-on patch for Onchan to solve a problem some mods were having with collision detection to the inner tyres on the track (collision was hitty-missy, with some cars able to drive over the tyres). As this installer features modified scn files for the track in both directions, this is a mandatory install for this weekends meetings. The server has been modified to include this addon.   8. it looks quite nice if you ignore the stupid white over spray crap but it doesnt matter that its illegal because you have used all your chassis changes this year and cant use it on UKDirt anyway doh there's me thinking it's illegal because the rollcage isn't painted in a non-grade colour

Download from either of the following links: UKDirt download link NSRS backup link Run the installer as normal. When you open your game, you'll now find F2stockcar v2.0 which is the 'offline' (aka real skins) mod, and F2stockcar v2.0 League edition, which is the online racing mod. the skinpacks for the league mod are being rebuilt at the moment so that's in the hands of your hosts here .   10. re: Kelly on the Bingley and his new rce, he's in the semis anyway so i'll get some pics at Barford and we'll replace the skin at the next update (this is the thing....we can always replace skins and stuff later - F2s will always be 'unfinished' in that way...a rolling project if you will)

  17. went through the config and tried that mate ?? :-( anyone ????? ok firstly check that your rfactor config is still set to DX9 (i know mine used to lose its settings occasionally) - the texture detail is an in-game setting, so start your game and when you have the car on the spinner go to settings (between player and car select), then into display, and set the track detail to full - it sounds like some textures aren't loading because that's not set to full. If the problem persists, when the game locks (which should be during track loading screen) press ALT+TAB keys and it should return you to desktop - then click the rfactor icon in your bottom taskbar and the error box should come up - write that down and confirm specifically what textures are causing the problem please. thnx thanks for ur help wrighty, much appreciated !! the error message that appears in the box is (in blue) gmotor error loading error texture grass_004 for material dstg21_0 also global material dstg21_0 Nps Mo, i'll have a look in the Barford mas file tonight and check that the named textures are included - you have a fuller explanation on Ftooz via PM

  19. Hi Sam, When it freezes, try pressing Alt+TAB keys to minimise the graphic loading screen, you may see an error box message....if so, could you post up what the message says please? Alternatively, you can make the game create a trace file (basically an error log) - right-click on your rfactor launch icon and edit the target path (the shortcut path link to the exe file) so it says C:\Program Files\rFactor\rFactor.exe -trace=1000* (add the bit in bold, make sure you leave a space between .exe and -trace). This will create a trace (error) log in your userdata folder - post that up and we may be able to identify the problem through that. cheers.....wrighty *note - if you're on vista or windows7, the path may be C:\rfactor\rfactor.exe, the above is based on my xp path - just add -trace=1000 after the exe path.
