  1. Very nice skin Aub, Well done on the win. Very good meeting I thought, some great battles in the heats. Some problems for me throughout though, mainly FFB related...I can see what people are on about now with that and tbh I'm not sure what causes it, also lost connection causing me to quit the 2nd heat but very happy with how my heats went, the 3 car push into turn being my highlight lol. Struggled with the ffb in the final and parked it in the end but a good nights racing all round. Cheers Grasser#233
  2. WD Hutch, good drive in the final
  3. Yes you did, so ignore that list above with you in it
  4. No probs, it was a hit for position so it's fair game in stock cars really isn't it, tbh both yourself and mav have come on very quickly the last couple of meetings so I hope you keep with it. Really enjoyed it tonight tbh, started to really get on top of my wheel now which helps of course but some of the racing has been great lately. Hope for more of the same and we need a red roof on the 291 Elite I reckon

  6. Well, quite a destructive 2 meetings for the 233 car, got a decent result in the final though which made up for it and proves that it doesnt all go wrong sometimes....Was catching Mav right at the end, another lap and I could have made the move but was too far back on the last lap. Have to say that Mav really is starting to get to grips with it all now. WD to hutch on the euro, great drive from the back and to jimmy for winning both finals and RM'ing as well which isnt easy.
  7. Ok, after a discussion in chat on Thursday and after what Johno has already said above....I thought it might be a good idea to have a thread were people can post how they have their particular wheel setup as a bit of a starting point or guide if they are new to racing rFactor and are having trouble setting their wheel up So if anyone else wants to post how they have their wheel setup or anyone has a question about their own wheel and how to set it up...this is the place and hopefully someone will have an answer Mine is a Logitech G25... in the Logitech profiler I have my wheel setup like this below In game I have the same as Johno above and my force feed back like below And I also use reelfeel plugin, which an addon for the force feed back and is available HERE at rFC Hope this helps, this above is by no means "how to have it" and is open to change lol
  8. Aye fair play I was pretty angry with it last night as everytime I'm looking at a good result, it goes down the toilet somehow..usually out of my control with hardware issues, and the crap virgin media ISP I'm on which dropped me back about a half of the straight just before what happened.
  9. Just a thanks to Jimmy who let me in at very very late notice during the meeting. After what happened to me in the closing stages of the final, I wish I hadn't bothered, particularly as I would have qualified for the Euro but I did apprieciate being given the chance.... The double header meeting seemed to run well, obviously some things to iron out if we were to do it again but it's good to have a mix I feel and once the rF Hot Rods are more established and settled, in time I think things will run more quickly
  10. Thursday only for now please
  11. I would reinstall rFactor completely tbh, and start from new...that should sort it
  12. Have you got the full version then??..
  13. You cant install any mod onto the trial version, only the full version lets you do that. Using the trial first is a good idea though, if your PC runs that and all the cars and tracks you get with that fine, then the mod will also work.
  14. The file that it's saying is missing is a common file for every mod...so other than a reinstall..I can't see how that would happen tbh. Wrighty suggest a bad install/DL so I suspect it might be that, where have you downloaded it from...you are on the full version?
  15. Ok, can you give a few details....does it do it for every car, have you tried other mods?
  16. Have you installed V1.0 of the mod first?
  17. Yes, but the lods are much more reduced compared to the high level hence it runs much better. Even if you have texture detail on full in game it still reduces it with the car detail which overrides it.
  18. Hi, For those of us who are not using mega super duper PC/'s, this is a great tip which improves both the look and performance of the game. First off a quick warning, this involves editing the .plr file and and any alterations to this is at your own risk. If in doubt, back this file up so you can redo any changes. Ok, if you reduce the detail of the opponent cars in rFactor to anything lower than full you notice it will also fade out/blur the skins up so they aren't showing in high res. Eg with this one which is set to low…. Well, with one simple alteration, you can have the car detail at low….improve performance of the game and have the skins running a nice quality like this one below which is once again set at low detail. Notice the difference So how do I do this….. well you need to open and edit your .plr file. This resides in your rFactor\UserData\"Your Player Name" folder. So, for eg, if your player name was Novice999.....the folder would be called Novice999 and the file inside would be called Novice999.plr. This file opens in notepad and is your personal settings for the game. Scroll it down to the [ Graphic Options ] section and look for this line Opponent Texture Override="-1" // For opponents' vehicle textures: -1=use Opponent Detail, 0-3=override value Change this "-1" to ="3" so it looks like this Opponent Texture Override="3" // For opponents' vehicle textures: -1=use Opponent Detail, 0-3=override value Your opponent skins will now show fine without any blurring at any detail setting. I personally have it at low now along with Effects at low and Shadows at medium. Happy racing Grasser#233
  19. Does look a lot cleaner and more professional, will a back background version be part of the upgrade?
  20. Hi, The latest patch for the F1 Stockcar mod is now out, this fixes a mulitplayer issue and also has added offline and skin content. Please see rFactor Central here http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=F1%20Stockcars for more details and download. Alternatively, you can CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD DIRECT FROM THE UKDIRT WEBSITE Once again, Thanks to everyone involved with this Cheers Grasser#233
  21. Well, rFactor doesnt load from internet explorer...try loading it from the exe in your program files/rFactor folder
  22. Assuming you have a skin in the pack... Reinstall your skinpacks, then when you go to select your car....you'll see a Skin tab at the top in between Information and Upgrades, press that and select your yellow one....Job done
  23. If it is dual core, I'm fairly sure theres an issue with Heat and it's compatibilty. Have a look through some of the other Heat forums, I remember there being something here http://www.texasspeedracing.com/forum3/viewtopic.php?t=1354 The link in the post though is dead so you might have to have a look around. Cheers Grasser#233
  24. New shale car [attachmentid=23377] [attachmentid=23378]
  25. Aye NTL = Virgin Broadband here, dunno why I keep calling it NTL. I've not raced heat for quite some time, so I can't comment on that, but when I've raced rF over the winter (and not just in jolt and the F1 mod), I've been discoed and high pings all over the place...seems to get better later on at night so I think it might be a network issue with the ISP when theres a lot of people on....I'd like to be proved wrong on this though
