Some people are far too 'retarded' to use the very simple ' search' facility at the top of the page or just open their eyes! Either that or they are just way too lazy! Either way, probably about 25% of the posts on the skinpainting forum are either double ups of " has anyone got the such and such template" or " does anyone have a skinpainting guide". I may be abrubt in my ' retarded' jibe, but if peeps are to dense/lazy/' retarded' to use the search facility, what would you suggest calling them?

Dalags If no-one on here knows who dalags is, basically he's some kiddy on Ovalchat who is insanely addicted to S.O.D. - he is so obsessed over it that he stays back at school and plays on it and when he downloaded it it took ONE WHOLE HOUR on the school systems. Also, whenever a new car/track is released, he acts like "OMG OMG OMG A NEW THING HAS COME OUT FOR S.O.D. OMGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111" He has also made S.O.D. crash collections - see here and makes pointless videos about S.O.D., e.g. he has 4 videos of him rolling a Granada! And customisation? Don't even ask! Here are 5 skins he made: Marc Blower in a P5 Matty Threkeld in a Granada Estate Glynn Platts in a P4 Rickey Finney in a Granada Hearse 'Mad Dan' Thompson in a DS420 Limo If you don't want to download them, then don't! Why would anyone spend the time and effort making an F1/2 and SSC conversion for the dated, but rated in its day, carmageddon, when the time would be better spent making mods for the far superior rFactor? Fair enough, the damage with SOD far excells the banger damage with heat, but the graphics are nowhere near as good as heat, and as Cal rightly pointed out, you cant play SOD online, even if there are rumours of online play for SOD in the pipeline, and theyve been around for ages, but without any back up yet. SOD was great in its day, but thats been and gone. With the work being done with rFactor, heats days could now be numbered, but thats progress. * awaits post in 10 years time " The downfall of Heat mods"

Thanks lads, all sorted now.

I had rFactor on my pc a while ago, and it worked just fine. Since then I uninstalled it, but now that Ive re-installed it, it wont work. When I try to start the game, I can hear the game music running in the background, but my monitor goes blank and shows a " Input signal out of range" message. The only way to stop the pc after this is to kill the power, as using Ctrl/Alt/Delete does nothing. Ive tried un-installing/re-installing the game a couple of times, but I still get the same problem.

I did suggest, about 12 months ago now, a thread where templates for skinpainting, could be posted ( i.e all those new cars that come out, that everyone posts countless threads, asking for them), but that was total ignored. If somebody took out time to make 1 sticky thread for templates, 1 sticky thread for 3ds files, and 1 sticky thread for ' practical' photos for the modelers, then so many ' crap' threads would not be required as all the relevent bits would be in the relevent three sticky topics. I suppose that idea will just be ignored again as it has not been suggested by ' the right' forum member.

I dont think it would be possible to make a real enough like Taunton track, after all, how would we go about getting all the fighting and knocking people over in game? *Im not being sarcy OR making fun of other peoples unfourtunate circumstances just stating a sad fact.

Theres not a problem with non-payed up members using the forum, its the immature few that just want to flame each other ( not slinging mud in anyones general direction.) The main problem is you get your pre-pubesent, pre-teens, chav scum registering on the forum, and after one sniff to many from an open can of shandy, they want to slag off/fight the world. OK, there is plenty of banter in the banger forum between certain teams/members, but atleast that does not resort to blatant personal attacks in every single post, and most of that posted is very humourous. Is there not some agreement when idiots, I mean chav scum, I mean new members join the forum, where by they agree not to cause trouble/be abusive to others etc etc? If so, its simple, Admin just boot them from the from the forum.
