As Boss said, practise, practise, practise, practise, practise, practise, practise, and then when youve done that, do it all over again. I used to airbrush my bangers, and it would take fappin ages to do. TBH, you can get a quicker result with some brushes, the only advantage or bonus of an air brush, is that the paint comes out fairly evenly, so you can laquer over the top to get an even flat shine and surface.[attachmentid=15036] This one was airbrushed [attachmentid=15037] And this one was hand painted quickly by me missus.

No worries about giving you a hand Damo, I just couldnt sit by and watch all that nice fresh paint not get scratched and damaged after that mother of all journeys. It was also good to meet you to mate. Shame that I didnt know Jamesy and Si where driving you round on the parade lap or I wouldve thrown some abuse/heavy items at them from the crowd Hopefuly see you again at Crasharama.....you know you want to race it......

Maybe he just sees the advice given on UK Dirt as more useful that that advice given from other Banger sites? Most people wouldve asked on Ovalchat, BTBH, theres more turd there than can be found at most sewage works. I would call it more flattery than double standards.

I was just having a general gripe, about people having , erm, well a gripe actualy.

There does seem to be a trend of people asking for this, that and the other at the moment. When these people dont get what they want, in the time that they want it, they get abusive. Its not just billybabyboy or whoever that does it. Theres been moaning about templates not being released, and then there are the lazy b----rds that frequently post " can some one do me a guide to paint skins/render/ model new cars/tracks/wipe my arse ". If these lazy gits actualy used the SEARCH function, all these guides would be revealed. Lazy to--ers! Just chill out people, have some PATIENCE for the people that do all these things, and in time, all will come to you.

I use PSP7. It was slightly harder to get the hang of as nobody does a user guide for it, but I seem to get good enough results with it now. It must work, as unlike one ' expert ' thats posted in this thread, I dont have to keep asking others to do skins for me.

Sounds like you may have had a couple of leads on the wrong way around, or you may have had the timing way out. 2lrt and 1.6 ignition systems are the same, so there should be no problems with bunging a 1.6 dizzy into a 2ltr, or the otherway around. And take FBF's advise and lob a webber twin choke on it too .

Damo, brakes are for wimps! Dont forget to run a bit of box along the top of the drivers door where the glass sticks out and weld it solid. And weld your corner plates solid along the scuttle panel/wing tops, them pesky Capris will snap if you let 'em.

And thats why I always race old slow junk! ALL the modelers have realy pulled the stops out in the last few months, with stacks of things being released, tracks as well as cars. Ive noticed that Swindys taxi and coach do tend to have a very transparent/metalic surface finish to them, but do I care? Hell no, they are brilliant ! No car in real life is perfect for racing, so why should it be any different online? Keep up the excellent work guys!
