  1. Raced a few of em then have you? I never rated 3ltrs myself, but thats because the only ones I ever got where shot to start with. AFYI, the only thing that gets '####ed up' as you put it, are the distributer caps, IF you manage to hit the front panel/bonnet down and back far enough. Ruddy newb know f###alls.

  6. Dont most BM's have nasty, soft as poop, aluminium engine mounts and from what I remember, the mounting holes are pretty naff? I looked at a few older ones, but always turned them down as alloy mounts tend to shear off real easy (well the alloy bits always broke on all my cars .) I know the 240 series Volvos had an alloy arrangement, but I made up a hefty great steel thing that I bolted on, and that worked a treat.

You could have just asked before u did this. Not trying to start an argument or anything, but surely 'all' Erik has done is to add some chrome and a different grille to an existing model ( and Im not slating Eriks work as I like it). Its no different to any of us adding our own colours to the existing jag template and using it, or painting one up in a real life colour scheme and posting it up for everyone to use in the real life skins posts? I could understand there being an issue if Erik had chopped the existing jag and extended it into a stretched limo and then passed it off as all his own work. Then the original modeler would have a genuine complaint.

    Thanks Erik.
  13. Excellent model! And its got those sexy wheels.
  14. Cool looking car! Ive got a set of alloys like those on my hearse. When I first got them they where painted white like wellers ( thats what I thought they where), but after shot blasting them I was suprised to find that they where alloy and not steel.

I dont think the A35.car file likes running alongside either the lincoln limo/tc, mercedes ambulance or the volvo hearse, as once I removed these cars from the skin pack that I had installed the A35 in, it works ok.

I cant use the A35. If someone else races one its OK, and I can see it and not a NASCAR but as soon as I try to use one it crashes my game. Ive overwritten the original .car file with the one in rodders zipped file... anyone got any ideas?
  21. It certainly is. Car preperation and driver safety has always been my number one priority when building cars. Any cars that I raced on dirt tracks where always prepped exactly the same as my tarmac spec cars. We even used to race around a mates field, and my cars used to turn up exactly the same as if they where going to a propper meeting, the other muppets would just drive a car staright off the road and race it with all the glass and seats in, with passengers. At the end of the day you can set whatever level you like on car safety, but some people will always try to build their cars as quickly and easily as possible.
  22. Erik, 1) Ditch the dash, if your worried about the electrical side of things, leave the wiring alone, and where the loom runs through the dash, just get a hacksaw blade and cut the dash out carefuly. 2) fuel injection pipes may look confusing, but theres only an extra return pipe needed on the tank ( most injection set ups anyway). 3) providing you use some decent heavy duty rubber fuel pipe, injection need not be a problem, dont skimp on jubilee clips either, buy the best you can get and try using two clips where you would normaly only use one. I used to race PI Triumphs, and I never had any problems with fuel leaks or fires. In fact I can only ever remember one PI Triumph going up in flames on the track ( someone elses car), and that one, once the pipe was done back up, drove off the track to be fixed for its next race.
  23. FIXED There you go, you may get a better response if you post something like that up, far less likely to get peoples backs up.
