  1. Great stuff Micky. Could only have been bettered if Frank had won the race for you Only jokin, John Riley looks a nice bloke anyway, bet it was real special for the young un.
  2. Are you sure it is in a folder called ArenaOldSkool and it's within the Setups folder?
  3. One last post about this - I have raced online without problems now, so if anybody finds themselves in a mess with spyware, it's well worth giving Spyware Doctor a try as it saved me from a Windows reinstall.
  4. That's an interesting point F2, as I tried to use Restore at the time and it said it couldn't restore it anyway so that was a waste of time. I think I might just turn it off now.
  5. Ewido didn't seem to be able to permanently get rid of it, and just as bad kept doing annoying popups, which even came up when I was trying to race and had supposedly turned off the active guard. So I don't recommend Ewido anymore lol. I have now come across Spyware Doctor and this does seem a quality program. It has found all the nasties which were causing the problems and has then got rid of them. It seems to run nicely in the back ground, and whilst I haven't yet had chance to fully test it on-line for not interfering with racing, I am hopeful. Thanks for your reply Welly m8
  6. Ewido did stop all the stuff, but it seems like when I turn the programme off, the bad stuff starts up again and that is a problem as I need to turn it off to race. I can't seem to get rid of the stuff permamntly, espeically a thing that changes my homepage to some Spyware site, I think it's called Hijacker.exe Any ideas?
  7. Cheers for the reply Alec. I think I have finally got rid of the thing, all thanks to Cunny for the link he posted above - cheers Cunny I tried allsorts including shelling out £17 for a product called Aluria which turned out to be absolute cr*p and didn't fix the problem at all, actually made it worse as is so slow to load and even crashes my system itself I am asking for a refund. The one that fixed it was Ewido Anti-Malware which seems to be a superb program which got rid of this thing and other stuff as well, and is a free trial version, so if you catch this virus (not called a virus but seems like one to me) get yourself off to the Ewido website and you should be alright
  8. Hi lads, I caught this horrible little Malware the other day. I seem to have got rid of the program itself but it has left a nasty legacy. It keeps resetting my homepage and making the system run slow, also the odd crash of the system too. I have tried a few things but can't get rid. I was going to reinstall my Windows XP Home (which was an upgrade from my original ME) but can't even manage that as it says my current version is a newer one than the one on my cd when I try and Install and I can't find a way round that either. Stumped. Any help would be appreciated.
  9. Yes Crash It's either 173 or 174 - one is Motors, the other the Horror Channel
  10. I am sure someone from UK Dirt told me you had a great pair of lungs Rubber....oh hang on, I think it was Tugs they were on about.
  11. Remember, forcing server thick makes the movement of the other cars more realistic for peeps but it does call for a better connection from the host, so it'll need to be a good'un to avoid warp.
  12. Sorry to hear this. Hope you are better very soon Rubber. I told Tugs lots of times not to leave you stuck out in that freezing cold garage all evening.
  13. OK cheers m8. Will be worth waiting for. I hope to get to the odd meeting this season, but if Wayne isn't on track, at least I can marvel at Frankie's Gold roof.
  14. Talk of maybe F2 next year, Wayne? Have you sold last year's F1 yet, and is an F1 still likely next season or not m8?
  15. Steering wheels are great fun and very realistic.....errr or rather I thought they were, but Crasher says they are nothing like the real thing, and he should know because he used to drive an F1 stcokcar all over the track, literally. Still the best option in my book.
  16. You know when you told me Crash was into Leather, Pryd - I didn't know it was his jacket.
  17. Crash, maybe they were just trying to tell you that you are a total MEMBER?
  18. Online is abymal in WOO/DTRSC compared to Heat. You can't make contact in any kind of a consistent way. DTRSC is a fun game. End of.
  19. Yep appparent lack of takeup surprised me too, Cider. Maybe £9.75 isn't worth the bother to some. I'd rather it was in my pocket than some bookies personally.
  20. £19.75 credited back to my account today, so profit of £9.75 made. Like Cider says, not bad for 15 minutes on the pc - cheers once again Cider m8
  21. Yep same for me Owl, I had to log out then in before I could play. Watch out for that one folks.
  22. Cheers Cider mate, a nice tidy profit on it's way back to my account - went for the big odds on the 25p bet so no chance there, but virtually doubled me money anyway.
  23. Crasher, you just got the ultimate compliment - I just showed the wife the clip this morning, and she said "Your mate's style of driving reminds me of Frankie" Get yerself a car again m8!
  24. ROFL @ all over the track Crasher. Let's just keep our foot down, who cares where the corner is, I can just blast round the boards speedway style. Then if I swerve all over the place down the straights it will put off everyone from passing me. Fair play to you Crash, that was one heck of a drive - magic m8 Although having said that, my Man of the Race must be Willis - even 515 himself or the Pink Panther couldn't have done a better job of fencing Smith, awesome for a yellow top to pile him in like that - good on ya Dave!
