Hello All, Once again I think that the racing has ben nthing short of sensational. I had some fantastic battles throughout the night as I think most people did. Congratualtions to Aub (188) on taking the Grand Final win tonight as well as 2 heat wins. Well done to Harman (262) on a very consistent night of places which has meant that he finishes the night as the top scorer. Big Al (515) and Scootaah (339) both scored points and Waqar was getting better and better throughout the night. I am sure a scoring finish is just around the corner! It is important to remember though that from time to time you will trip over these guys. They are trying there best just like everyone else on the grid and are the firstd rivers to apologise if something goes wrong. I just wanted to make a point though that they really are improving as the results and points show - so well done guys! Next week we will be moving back onto the shale. Kings Lynn has been remodelled thanks to Madcowie with the corners now containing banking. This meeting will also see the introduction of a new competition - the UK Dirt F1 Premier League. Look here throughout the week for more information. Cheers Johno

3 heats each…… one mighty Grand Final……. followed by a Grand National! This is the new exciting format for the Tarmac Masters Series that starts this week at Northampton. Each driver will receive 3 heats each with the top 14 points scorers going through to the meeting final. The remaining drivers will be entered into the consolation with the top 8 making it through to the meeting final. There will then be enough Grand Nationals for everyone. The points at the end of the meeting will then be multiplied according to the driver’s grade. This is of course round 1 of 7 in the revamped Tarmac Masters Series before the Tarmac Masters Finale which this year will take place on the tarmac of Ipswich. With the top points scorer starting to pole position, this Thursday is a good chance to get a good haul of points and make sure that you are near the front of the grid. Northampton also has possibly the biggest meeting of the year for the number 1 title in our league today: THE 2011 CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE WORLD. This is one of only two meetings at the venue before the big night itself and thus this is a fantastic opportunity to tweak any set up you may have for the big race. With the superb start to the season we have had racing wise, numbers have yet to reflect the superb racing that we have seen. Hopefully this week, numbers will continue to improve as drivers continue to race in a league that has a huge history. Cheers Johno

Hello All, Just to clarify the final result decision. Mike (315) and Tosh (8) requested that we check out the replay. In both cases they have used the infield after half spins. This is something that comes with the territory at Coventry, especially in real life. However, this is not why we came to the decision we did. We judge the decision on whether they gained a position(s) and whether they rejoined the track in a safe manner. I can confirm that both rejoined in a safe manner and no positions were gained in either incident. As TomD (1) quite rightly pointed out, we have punished people before for what appear to be similar incidents. On close inspection, and reviewing previous decisions, TomD was docked 2 places for gaining 2 places when using the infield to rejoin the track. Similar incidents also happened have also happened with two other drivers. We also had a similar incident at Coventry in 2008. I hope this helps to clarify the decision that we made and the thought process behind it. I am pleased to say that this kind of decision is required very rarely and it would be great to keep it that way. Thank once again to everyone that raced this past week. It was a superb meeting with some more excellent racing. Cheers Johno

COVENTRY - WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING ROUND 4 THURSDAY 10TH MARCH - START TIME: 8:30pm This Thursday sees the mighty UK Dirt F1's return to the scene of best ever UK Dirt F1 World Final. In September 2010, the race started with no fewer than 15 drivers fighting for the lead in the early laps and finished with 3 drivers in with a shout going into the last bend. When the chequered flag dropped it was TomD (1) who took the flag and with it the all important gold roof. Coventry was the venue and this is where the F1's will do battle for those all important World Championship Qualifying Points. Last week saw the first meeting of the new season and with it a first time final winner in Dode (151). Dode was not the only driver to impress however, as Southy (277) was to finish as the top points scorer after winning a heat, finishing second in the final and taking the flag in the Grand National. It was very pleasing to see that the big guns did not have it all their own way with all the wins going the way of yellow and blue grade drivers. That was tarmac though and it will be interesting to see how they get on this week on the shale of the league premier venue. Looking briefly at the World Championship Qualifying list, which is still very much in its infancy, and we see that MoR (137) is currently top of the chart from current World Champion TomD. Harman (262) is another driver to have made a good start and Southy’s point haul from last week sees him in the top five. As I mentioned though, the chart is very much in its infancy and one good meeting could see a driver make a significant move towards the top of the chart. This Thursday also sees the second round of the Whites and Yellows Championship. Although there were only a few cars on the grid, this was one of the best races of the night, if not the best. Spike JNR (172) and Southy (277) were hard at it with Big Al (515) not too far behind ready to pounce if anyone made a mistake. In the end, Spike JNR took the win on the final bend, with Southy finishing second and Big Al third. This means that once again there is something for everyone at another classic UK Dirt F1 meeting. Practise will be made available on the Wednesday night. This meeting will also be under lights. So what are you waiting for? Everything is set for another classic meeting. All you need to do is get yourself booked in! Cheers Johno

I am not sure what it means I am afraid. It installed fine for me earlier and went on the servers fine. Perhaps drop a PM to MoR - he might have an idea. Cheers Johno

Hello Guys, With only one week left before the start of the season, I thought it would be handy to host a practise session for the upcoming season. With this in mind, I thought we would focus on the first two tracks on the calendar. My idea is to have a few minutes practise (so people can enter the server) and then some races. Depending how many there are will depend on what kind of races we have, but I think that we would all prefer shorter races (10 laps). So we will focus on Birmingham and Coventry. 8:30pm -9:30pm = Birmingham 9:30pm - 10:30pm = Coventry 10:30pm onwards = we could have a track tour if people are still interested!!! This would bea good chance to work on set ups for the first two meeting as well as perhaps ask for advice. I am not say go around passing your set ups about, but perhaps if the better drivers in the legaue could offer some words of advice, it will help those drivers tht are perhaps struggling a little. We will use the real life skins. Hope to see you in the server tonight. Cheers Johno
-
My old skins from last year please Dave. Cheers Johno
-
Yes - but at the end of last year, you were 21, which is why I left it as that for now. The site will be changed number wise over the next few days. Good news on the server fee - will look to be racing you soon. Cheers Johno
-
Hello, Just to confirm, we missed off Southy. He will be yellow for the start of the new season. Cheers Johno
-
Looks good to me FT. I must say, some of the skins that appear on here are just fantastic!!!
-
Some good looking skins once again for the upcoming season. Here is my tarmac skin thanks to LeeK. For the season, it will be shaped more like the Ron Kronder car.
-
I wont get here for half past 7, but I will be around for about 8pm. It would be a good if a few others would join. We could perhaps pick a surface, put 5 tracks on and have some races around all of them. Cheers Johno
