Thanks to Mike and Kevin for sorting the meeting out. Well done to Mike on taking the meeting final. Personally, it was a case of stock car ups and downs. Last week I had the highs and this week I had the lows. It is the way stock car racing goes. If you look at the racing from my pov, it wasnt bad racing at all (infact it was a very good meeting on a very tricky track). It is purely bad luck, being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Well done to all the drivers tonight. I think they worked hard o make sure the racing was good, and there were some very good battles to be seen. Next week we go hunting for World Qualifying Points again, and with the new grades, it is boun to be another superb meeting!! Cheers Johno

Dont make him have to do the gardening Mike- I dont wish that on anyone!!

....is where the F1's are heading this week.... to the Nation's capital infact!! Madcowie has made some slight alterations to the track in preparation of the first of two visits (I was wrong last week in the results thread) to Wimbledon. This week is the final meeting before the new grades come into effect, and once again the UK Dirt F1 world changes. The track is superb, it is ready on the server, all it needs now are your bookings. Cheers Johno

Not at all - this championship has been won at times by yellow tops (yourself included) so it can't be that. That takes into account both heat and Rfactor, where it was won by yellow grade Mike in 2008. In real life they changed on the grounds of safety I was led to believe. It was changed in real life 3 years ago, and we just never changed it. But you are quite right, I do believe that all championships should be closed grid, otherwise the UK Open has no significant difference to a normal final. In fact, our format for the whole double header does not mirror real life as it currently stands. The other thing is, it has only been mentioned this year. No one mentioned it last year, or the year before. If a significant amount of people want it changed, then as always we will listen and put it on the agenda at the end of the year. Cheers Johno

Thank very much to Madcowie for making the changes to the track. Most of you did not like the white line rule, so this will solve the problem nicely. Thanks again Cowie. Cheers Johno

First of all, thanks to Kev for getting through the meeting so quickly - it really was top stuff sir. A big big well done to MoR. Finally got another title to add to the Grand National Championship. I can't think of a more worthy champion - well done sir! Well doen to all the race winners over the two days, and to the white tops, who are most definitely coming along nicely now! Personally, not a bad meeting. I felt I drove some sensational races from poor starts, so I am quite happy. I feel a lot more settled at red now, so hopefully I can continue onwards. Cheers Johno

Hello All, This week sees the first championship double header of the 2010 UK Dirt F1 season: THE 2010 UK DIRT F1 ROOTHOST.CO.UK UK OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. A full programme is planned for later on in the week, so further details will be available later in the week, but I want to remind you of the booking information for this week. BOOKING IN FOR WEDNESDAY Please do this on the UK Dirt Website in the normal way. The meeting will start at 7:45pm and will carry those all important World Championship Qualifying Points. BOOKING IN FOR THURSDAY Please do this on this thread. The meeting will start at 8:30pm and will see the UK OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP race itself. The bookings will be kept up to date throughout the week on the post below. Can I ask that you try, if possible, to book in as soon as possible, as similar to real life programmes, it would be great if I could put a booking list in the programme. Thanks very much to Jarry for the poster above. Let’s make this a double header not to forget and boast those numbers. The racing at times has been simply sensational, and there is no reason not to expect anything different this week. Cheers Johno P.S The latest addition of the F1 Dirter will be available later this evening.
