It slows the game down too much.

Mine was worse than ever on Friday, but I noticed that I had recieved 3 e-mails and 2 instant messages through AOL during the meeting. Is there anyway to disable these features while I race?

As you said real skins have previously been posted on the skin painting forum, at one time i was releasing a new real skin every week, but since I have paid up I am finding very little time to paint them anymore. However, that doesn't mean I have stopped completely and I still plan to make some yet so keep watching as I am sure more skins will be posted sooner or later, especially obce the season starts again and people get inspiration to attempt some new paint schemes that drivers will undoubtedly have, just from observing some of the superb cars at the NEC. I have has also started to get this 'stuttering' in the last few weeks. Only occasionally, maybe just for a few laps a night and so far only happened in practise luckily but its very annoying, it tends to freeze on screen for half a second then jump to where it should be on the track and without knowing it you were following a driver in second then it stutters and your in a multi-car pile up lol. The problem is, if it happens during a meeting (especially the F1, F2, Rods etc.) you never know what might happen. I have just run a virus scan, reinstalled everything and defragmented it last night, so I will see if it happens on Friday night NZ meeting. At least if it happens in them theres not many rules I can break.

I turned that damage thing on in my Offline Heat games, makes them much better imo, although it takes about 20 seconds longer to load the race up. You can turn it on or off by opening up your options file in your mod folder in Notepad. Then go down and change Vertex damage from 'No' to 'Yes' or 'Off' to 'On', whichever one it is I cant remeber now lol.

I don't know of any fonts although i'm sure there are some. If you are using photoshop (i dont know about PSP), if you click on 'layer' on the tabs at the top of the screen, then 'layer style', then 'blending options'. If you mess about with the Bevel & Emboss settings a bit, you can make the 'chiseled' effect. [attachmentid=13433] If this is the effect your after, all I did was, in the Bevel & Emboss settings, change: Style: Inner Bevel Technique: Chisel hard or soft Depth: 1000% Size: (depending on how big your sign is) usually between 2 and 5 Soften: 0 Shading Angle: Angle: about 135 degrees, Altitude: 0 Highlight mode: For best effect: White, Screen, opacity: 100% Shadow mode: For best effect: Black, Multiply, opacity: 100% Hope that helps, Kruiz

It was an install patch, so everything should automatically have gone to the places. It was about 51.2GB so it was a full mod, everything should have been there. I can now get to the mod (thanks Erik). Now though, I have another problem. When selecting a specific vehicle e.g Cobra, the game crashes and comes up with this: [attachmentid=13287]

Ok, i downloaded and installed, 60's GT cars from rfactorcentral.com, but they don't show up in car menu? Do they need to be unlocked?

Just so I know that it is working correctly, which cars should show up in the vehicle selection page as defualt? I currently have: Hammer, Howston, Rhez, ZR. Is that right, or should there be more?

Radeon X300 series. I think thats it yeah that'll be it! Highly recommend an upgrade as your other PC specs are just fine, I just got a 7600GT (256mb) for just £108. Lower spec cards are alot cheaper so you can find some bargains out there. If however you cant afford an upgrade do the following: 1) get the latest drivers for the X300 2) Disable ALL un-needed background apps 3) Check that any Anti-Virus stuff is turned OFF, rF has a problem with AV files using VET or something. Avast is free and does'nt cause problems (at least on my machine) 4) Run the game in DX7 with no Anti-Aliasing at the lowest Res with all options on LOW/OFF then gradually work up until you get a respectable FPS Tip: CTRL+F in game for FPS and Memory Meter Bar, you may have to hit CTRL+F a couple of times to get them both up. hope that helps Thanks m8, thats a great help I cant afford a new Graphics card atm so will try what you said. Just one thing, how do i run it as DX7? in your rFactor parent dir theres a file called "rF Config.exe", run that and under Shader Level select DX7. That should give you optimum speed so if you have loads of FPS after tweaking the ingame settings try DX8 just to see how much you lose, might not be as much as you think Thanks m8, will give it a try tomorrow
