  1. Super read, Mav, and well done on a great effort. Hope the luck turns your way next time you are so close, which I am sure you will be again.
  2. Cheers for the mention, Lloydy! Not having raced for a while, I was a bit over eager in my first two heats and made silly early mistakes with left me at the back each time. My pace once I settled down seemed ok though - for me! Things finally clicked in my third heat and a fifth got me into the Final. Mitch and I gave Mav an easy time at the start of the race and he got away. I then followed Mitch - I didn't want to go for a pass and make the same stupid mistake as Id been making earlier, and probably blow the race for both me and Mitch. It took a long time for me to get caught and thankfully top class drivers Tom and Leek showed me plenty of respect by being patient and taking their time to get past rather than just send me spinning in a swirl of shale! So fifth it was, one of my best ever rFactor Final results. The Grand National went just as well, and had a race long battle with Lloydy. Credit to him for a perfect last bender to take second, but to be honest, third place was more than enough for me. In fact seeing the points today, Id rather have 29 than 30 as an immediate upgrade would do me no favours whatsoever! Top night guys, thanks to all the Admin for a perfectly run meeting....
  3. Thanks guys. I forgot the new skinpack. Then loaded it but didn't come out of rFactor. After your advice, I exited rFactor then reloaded it and seems ok now. Hope you get sorted Bagoo.
  4. What is the problem if when you watch an F1 replay, some of the cars are all greyed out with TEMP written on the side? Am I missing a novice car?
  5. Well done Ricky twenty points
  6. Drivers Name/Chassis: Danny Webster 226 (Higman) Driver Number: 515 Your Name/Nickname: Big Al Current league grade: Yellow
  7. Same skin as last year please. Big Al 515.
  8. Same skins as last year for me please. Big Al 515.
  9. I always love Skeggy meetings, it comes easily to be competitive here which I definitely can't say about most tracks, and this meeting was no exception. Loved it. Good points haul, and my last race of the season was as good a result as I ever get. That first win still eludes me but was well chuffed with 2nd. To be honest I didn't realise a couple of cars passing me were a lap down so I thought I was about 4th. Great win ChrisA, and your drive in the CoC race was just as good too...
  10. Was brilliant. Thanks Grass. I really enjoyed watching the final and champion of champions. We don't see race results these days in chat unlike the old heat days so it's great to be in touch with some of the races we aren't in.
  11. Thanks for the 'well dones' and it's good to see so many positive comments about a meeting
  12. Thanks for noticing, Bagoo! It's my best points haul for some time. Going into the last bend of the Final in 8th but with a car behind that had followed me for a couple of laps (Stoxnet I think) I knew what was coming, and there must have been other cars behind him as it was quite a last bend tangle, but I was chuffed after a half spin to hit the rev limiter all the way to the line and hold onto a top 10. Then 5th in the GN despite being spun by Verstappen early was a great result for me. Thanks to Grasser, Stumpy and Drumbstick for a cracking meeting. I must say the grid form up & rollers are working very well lately.
  13. Sorry to see you go Johno, take care mate
  14. Very well done Tom for winning the World Final, congratulations also to Jack for the meeting final win, and last but definitely not least, well done Bagoo for being top points scorer, amazing performance! An excellent meeting.
  15. Surprised to see myself 7th in heat 4, I had me down as 6th. Has 112's position been adjusted?
  16. It would help if you clarify whether you mean how they were gridded up, or that you think the yellows got too close on the rollers. The yellows were further up the home straight on the starting grid than normal which will be because it's such a big track.

    set ups

I'm no expert but go easy on the throttle mate and try to stay as smooth as you can, take it nice and steady on Thursday, will be good to see a new face, and don't be surprised if the quick guys have a moan if you get in the way but don't let it bother you, it happens to everyone
  18. A cracking meeting, well done Matty. Must be a real rarity where no driver scored a duck (not even me )
  19. Really well done on making Yellow top again Ricky! I agree with Lloydy, it was a great meeting. I didn't realise how good Arena is, I haven't raced it much & it's a good shape and nice width so makes for some quality action. Exceedingly quickly run by Dan as well
  20. Hopefully that means I can take Southy's place at Sheffield (cheers bud!)
  21. Sorry lads just not working out for me racing at the mo, but I'll be back soon. Must say I was sorry to miss Stoke, the newer brigade might have seen the real Big Al round there
  22. Bagoo 20 pts and Ricky 15 pts - top job lads on a really tricky track
  23. I was lucky that I didn't experience any connection problems, I just can't drive the place, I really was awful! The B Final was great with all of us racing real close until I even messed up in that by bringing the back end round too far. It was still a fun night and I am chuffed that Matty has won his first final. Top drive mate and well overdue. Thanks to Jack and the stewards for a very professionally run meeting.
  24. Nice one Jack
  25. I agree with Monty, top racing and it's good to race a track that's different to any other and presents it's own challenges. GOt well and truly crunched up the wall on the 1st bend of the Final, no surprise there then seeing as I was outside pole with a closed grid on a narrow track!
