  1. A fantastic achievement Trav. You might have been from yellow but on the other hand there were a lot of cars at this meeting so I just don't know how you did it m8.
  2. Well done Mav! Think you were the best White or Yellow driver to race this season, I certainly wasn't anyway Yeh I am fine thanks, just too busy to race/Thursday nights aren't on at the mo, I'll race when I get chance though
  3. Congratulations and well done to Mike. It's good to see a Dutch driver win the title, and Mike's certainly been the best Cloggy over the years
  4. Waqar loved it and Mav hated it....mmmm wonder which camp I'd have been in? Not sure if I missed a good one or a bad one...oh well, great to see Waqar back whatever!!
  5. Yeh must be a chance....might only be 4 in it
  6. And I'll be joining him!
  7. Neat - cheers Johno.
  8. Haven't heard mention of the Consolation Semi since the Semis were run. Is there still one and if so, when?
  9. I just extracted it to rFactor\gamedata\locations like Dan said, and it seems to work fine for me. Inside Sexberium, I have 3 sub folders plus a bunch of files mostly called "track" something. The 3 sub folders are called Sexberium, Sexberium AG and Sexberium Rev. The Sexberium subfolder has two folders in it (called New Folder and Setups) plus 6 other files. Hope this helps you sort out your files.
  10. The new version loads ok for me on DX7, Ben. I had the old track installed previously, if you didn't it might be worth downloading that (still the version on UK Dirt website I think), then installing the updated one?
  11. I was really out of luck until the GN. Spun/crashed out of 2 races. Led the other for a good few laps until tripping up over Lew who had had a tangle. Finally things clicked in the GN, had a superb battle with BLymn in the early laps, I think Ricky was involved too at first, in fact I thought he had caught me back up until I realised it was Swish. Then had a super pass and repass session with Swish. Eventually Marco caught up too and I started to drop back, but on the last corner I jumped from 7th to 5th Another slickly run meeting by Dan, well done. Well done for the Heat & Final win Jason.
  12. No, people power just doesn't work, someone needs to be in charge after all. I voted yes but if Admin say no that's how it should be without any bellyaching. By rights it should really be no but we all don't want to upset Trav
  13. The heats were good for me with a 6th place and going alright early on in the other two heats as well. My pc seemed to find this track quite challenging and when there were a lot of cars near it was virtually undriveable (it's set to only show 8 cars in front) so I had to retire from both the Final & the GN. I'm probably lucky to get away with what I do with this pc as usually it's ok. Well done to Trav on a popular win, and big well done to BenLymn for a double figure haul - true to his word that he is a whizz on big tarmac tracks . A very speedily run meeting (including the results). I am away next week, see you the week after.
  14. 'To be sure'. It's a cracker, as Frank Carson used to say.
  15. This was a really enjoyable meeting, every race was good, and a nice atmosphere in chat too. The best came first for me with an absolutely cracking battle with Spikejnr in the W&Y's race, with us passing and repassing all the time for the second half of the race. Just about my favourite race of the season. 5th wasn't particularly impressive but sometimes the result is secondary. I had a good run in the lead in heat 1. Eventually Marco caught & passed me, then the rest of the pack were with me and I was clinging on for a top 10 - just managed it (10th). My 2nd heat was another good few laps leading but this time I was able to only get passed by a few cars and was well chuffed to get 4th. In the Semi, I knew I needed a massive slice of luck to qualify with more than 10 real top drivers in front of me. I hoped the 1st bend would be kind but it was the opposite - a big pile up in front of me with James spinning, and with me trying to sneak up the inside this instead put me slap bang into another tyre. By the time I had reversed and got going again, there was only James behind me . Oh well, like BenLymn says, we weren't bothered anyway, we would be an embarrassment in a WF. Then the Final which I auto qualified for which was a nice surprise. Had a pretty good race, but inevitably the pack caught me up and bashed me about a bit. With what I thought was a few laps left I dropped out of the top 10 without so much of a whimper as I waved Dode through, then was mad as hell to realise we had just gone into the last lap and I only realised as the chequered flag came out - at least I could have given Dode a bit more of a battle for 10th if I had known but I never dare look at the laps as it puts me off . Just the GN to come, and I finished on a high. Got away well and led a good number of laps (boy I love white ). Eventually Hooty and then Spike passed me, wasn't sure how many to go but was really pleased with I saw the chequered come out and I had held onto 3rd. Belle Vue seems to have produced some really great racing in its last couple of meetings. Top job by Dan and the others, the meeting kept moving nicely. Looking forward to watching big tarmac track expert Ben Lymn leading the way next week.
  16. Cheers for the updates Johno - and OMG I am leading it!!!
  17. Cheers for the good wishes and/or confidence lads Great to hear from you Cider Excllent write up and pictures too, let's hope we can do the race justice, I agree there are about 14 top class drivers in the race, which doesn't give chumps like me much hope unless a few end in the fence
  18. Great write up Mav, I enjoyed reading that - was a cracking meeting, just like you described.
  19. Great racing all night, had good early battles with Jedd & Mav, enjoying racing back at white Hope next week is as good, plus my semi to contend with, should be fun
  20. Big Al#515 booking out
  21. Straightaway noticed you on the back row there blymn - better watch my mirrors early doors then eh m8.
  22. Thanks mate, was pleased with that myself.
  23. Is Wednesday night confirmed as an early starter - 7.45pm?
  24. My pre-meeting statement that I would be happy with a point was realistic as the first time I took to this track was an hour before the meeting. Very challenging but quite good fun. Happy to have scored 2 points although not through any great skill. The shape of the corners means that even though the track is so slippery, you don't tend to get the car into a spin on them on your own, so that's a help (although I did manage it in the W&Y's). The racing seemed pretty good I thought. Respect to Waqar for plugging away at a track that he probably found even more of a nightmare than me - he took some catching in the Whites & Yellows so was going pretty well. Mav was going well too, to say he nearly didn't race.
  25. don't rub it in how bad I am!
