  1. Was mega tough round this place! Did my best to not mess too many people up by my mistakes, I guess its good to have variety of track shapes and sizes, this is one of the hardest. Well done to all who kept it facing forwards.
  2. Enjoyed some great racing in all 5 heats, and they were run in super quick time too. As the B Final was non points scoring, decided to make sure Ricky didn't get away so went for a couple of way-back hits on him, which broke my car. Then turned it into Brisca Legends (from HEAT) style race. One or two others enjoyed this but I know some didn't, so apologies to anybody whose race I spoilt.
  3. Great pics, Dan - thanks for those and glad your camera dried out
  4. Sorry for the mistaken identity, Ali - brilliant stuff indeed! Great to recreate battles of old
  5. Was a decent meeting once I sorted the rolling starts out Was great to make an A Final, even if it was with just 1 point, and I really enjoyed it. Out of the top 10 but I kept facing forwards throughout and enjoyed the battles along the way. Plus I should be in Dan's photos if he managed to clean his camera after dropping it in the shale! The GN was magic too - had a brilliant battle with Mav in the last few laps, which Ricky decided to join. And my biggest points haul from a race this season.
  6. Sadly no B Final heroics from me this week! But at least I did get better through the heats I was pleased to finally get a top 10 in the last heat, it's not easy to avoid dropping down the order like a stone here once a higher grader catches you and you get off line. Good to see Trav out for a one-off appearance. I agree with Mav, top racing every week and a good atmosphere with very little moaning and peeps having a good time. Unlucky in B Final, Chevy, but sounds like your own fault m8
  7. at Matty's picture, now on my desktop m8 Very proud!!! Thanks for the comments lads I really enjoyed this track, when you get a good rhythm going round it, it felt a bit like the Stoke track on HEAT but without the bumps (and older drivers will know I liked that track ) Obviously it was a big help to be back down to white, and the first couple of laps were generally going well which meant I got away ok. I was very relieved to finally get off the mark for the season, with a couple of top 10's. In my other heat, I made the break and was putting in some good laps, so seemed to have a good lead. I started to see Steppy in my mirrors and could see he was getting a fair bit closer, I think I lost some concentration through thinking about him (even though he kindly said he was going to let me win if he could ) and managed to bring the back end round too far coming off the 4th bend, and ended up on the kerb facing the beams. Took me a while to rejoin safely and just out of the top 10. The B final was a bit down on numbers, but when I got into the lead I wasn't going to mess about and blow the chance of an ultra rare win - not sure if I have EVER won a B final, must have been a long time ago on HEAT if I did, but I was nearly always in the fence in those as they were brilliant fun so I probably didn't. All I can remember about the GN was Samwit making a perfect pass on me at the end to snatch 10th place. With the meeting all finished before 10pm, and a good atmosphere in Chat again, this was a great meeting, thanks all
  8. Wow, looks really brilliant, looking forward to hitting that post and wire fence.
  9. Yeh thank god I'm not in 'em
  10. A very slickly run meeting, healthy number of drivers, good racing and plenty of banter in chat - what more can we ask for? Well done everyone UK Dirt F1's seems in really good shape at the moment.
  11. That would definitely explain it! Great pics of the Finals, Dan.
  12. Great photos Dan, although that's 3 weeks running I haven't made it into them, I must be that far back I don't get noticed This was another really well run meeting, and fair driving throughout so some cracking racing. I was about half a second off the pace so I really should do some practice round here, but what the heck, I still enjoyed it. Good to see a few others join me on 'nil poi' this week - was feeling lonely last week.
  13. Heck, I am the only one to get a duck! Oh well, cracking meeting whatever. Seemed a good standard of driving again to me, despite not much room on track with lots of cars about. Very well run meeting, so another top night.
  14. Thanks Dan. Yes I am in-car so will try to set that up (could be handy for getting out of the pits at NIR too I guess - I usually use "can't hear anything coming so floor it and hope for best"!).
  15. Very enjoyable. It was good to be back, and especially with such a healthy grid. I was impressed to find no nutters or idiots out of 30 odd drivers, so the racing was excellent. Belle Vue is a tricky track and needs plenty practice, and as I was lacking the latter, I was just happy to be on track and hopefully not mess too many others up. Only had one real mess up when got crashed out on the straight ending up sideways facing the fence and had a difficult job getting clear as had to go on trying to hear if anyone was coming (which button would be best in these circumstances - apart from Esc lol??). Had one or two decent battles at the back of the pack. Good to see new faces and also good to see some faces from the past (distant past in some cases). Hoping to be back on track as a regular again now. Very well run meeting Dan, well done. Nice photos too.
  16. Sorry Dan, got to cancel for tonight. Big Al 515
  17. Can I have same skins as I finished last year with please.
  18. Top racing lads. Was good to be back, a great bunch racing tonight. Looking forward to next week. Thanks for running it Mike, all done and dusted in an hour.
  19. UKDirt sure won't be the same without you to wind everyone up, hope to cross swords with you again yet pal
  20. Yep, that would have been good - me & Trav did have a nice little ding dong in one race.
  21. My first F2 outing of the season, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 3 top drivers sent me their setups, one as soon as I logged in, which was mega of them, shows what a great bunch you are. I would probably have been tooo off the pace to enjoy things much otherwise but with a very stable setup and on a forgiving track, I was able to have an absolute ball. Really enjoyed battling with the other yellows especially Douglas who seemed similar pace to me. Also Mav, Trav, too many to mention really. I am usually giving lifts on a Monday night, but will definitely try not to leave it as long before reappearing. A very well run meeting, thanks to all concerned and well done to the winners and grinners.
  22. Hoping to be out in F2's tomorrow night m8
