  1. God I cant wait - get yourself booked in, and kick start what could be the best F1 Season yet. This is the first of 50 meetings - an epic season to come!! Cheers Johno
  2. Hello Guys, After discussions with the UK Dirt F1 Disciplinary Teams, it has been decided that the current disciplinary procedure needs to be tightened up, and thus tougher punishments will be handed out complaints. As we have seen so far this season, Heat numbers have taken a little bit of a dip, and we want to make sure it is not disciplinary that is causing people to leave. Rfactor F1 also starts in the coming weeks, and we do not want that to get too ’bumper happy’ as well, as it perhaps did at times in the recent Winter Series. Please bear in mind that complaints need to be sent if you think you have been mistreated on the track, or have seen some behaviour on track that you think is not suitable. The F1 Admin Team will of course reserve the right to act on anything that they see, but in the main, if there is no complaint, then disciplinary action will probably not be taken. It is therefore up to you to take two minutes to PM a member of the F1 Admin Team, with the race, rough time, and a very brief description of the incident. Each case will be judged on a individual basis, but please bear in mind any points that you get remain on your licence for the duration of a season. This means there is some drivers who already have some disciplinary points, and will need to be careful. So consider this a little bit of a warning, and thus, if you step out of line, you run the risk of getting more points than you currently would for specific incidents, and thus you will be closer to getting a ban, or depending on the incident, you may get a ban first time round. Cheers Johno
  3. Don't go saying goodbye to him too much. If he thinks that his Admin time is going to become easier, then he better think again as I am going to be working him to his very core now in F1!! Seriously, thanks for all your hard work Kev wit the forum. You have done a sensational job with it and will be sorely missed I am sure. But remember sir, you aint leaving Admin altogether - as I said, your my right hand man, and you dont get to leave F1 for more than a season!! Cheers Johno
  4. Hello Guys, Just a few grade changes after the recent winter series to make sure that the racing remains competitive. UP TO BLUE: 488 (Second in the series, and a very consistant average) 7 (only did 1 meeting but took the final and a very good grand national finish from the handicap) UP TO YELLOW: 151 (Consistant scoring in his 4 rounds) 216 (I put him at yellow for the last meeting and he continued to score points, so will remain at yellow) 321 (Was very compotent at white, and had no problems at all in his 1 meeting) Congratualtions to all of those that have been upgraded. Don't forget, the first meeting is a little under 3 weeks away now. Expecting an absolutely jam packed season season preview in the coming week or 2. Cheers Johno

Hello Savage, In teems of Rfactor F1, we race on a Thursday evening at 8pm (British Time). I am not 100% sure what that translates to in NZ time I am afraid. It always good to welcome new members, so if you feel like you have the time, your more than welcome. You can strike up a team with Albz (106) who now lives over there!! Cheers Johno
  6. Once again, absolutely fantastic action pics Tosh. I really did think that the racing was fantastic on Thursday. I think the rolling lap being lnger appeared to work when it came to keeping distances, and I think that the races settled down a little more early on and thus we got some good racing. Whenever there is 23 cars on track, there is always going to be a bit more action early doors, but I really thought the racing was good. From a red point of view, I think we are going to have to work a bit more together though, as those whites and yellows are very fast. Thanks once again for the pictures throughout the winter Series Tosh. I appreciate the fact that they mist have taken you a long time, but they really are worth the effort imo. I wonder if I can tempt you to do some for the Championship meetings perhaps? Cheers Johno
  7. Hello Guys, Does anyone have the meeting final replay guys? (Not the shootout finale) Tosh would like it so that he can do his action shots, but unfortunately I only have 5 saved. (If someone could remind me how to change that setting too I would be greatful). Cheers Johno
  8. Another simply awesome interview. Thanks very much to Dazza for taking the time to put it together, and to MoR for taking the time to interview. I do think I will have to words with the camera man though -he better imporve or else!! Looks superb though in all seriousness, and I cant wait. Cheers Johno
  9. The full and completed points chart can now be seen above. Congratulations to Tosh on taking the 2009 Winter Series Points Title.
  10. Good Evening Guys, Well what a way to finish a cracking Winter Series, with a hard fought meeting. THE MEETING Congratulations to Kruiz on taking tonights meeting final. To night was not a night for the higher grade drivers, but Kruiz showed his class by driving a consistant race in the final to take a cracking victory. The points for the meeting itself was very even, but Tom D was to shave it, and be the top points score for the meeting. Other winners on the night was Walker, Dode, Tinman and Dave in the heats, with Dode taking his second win of the night in the grand national. Results: Heat 1: 363 291 151 112 2 3 136 288 8 561 Heat 2: 151 112 315 561 290 8 531 288 137 136 Heat 3: 48 112 136 290 3 531 488 291 137 216 Heat 4: 488 48 315 8 531 290 291 137 363 2 A-Final: 136 291 531 216 106 8 2 112 290 151 GN 1: 151 363 112 531 315 8 291 137 290 2 Points: 36 pts 112 Tom D 35 pts 291 Marten 35 pts 531 Lee 34 pts 136 Kruiz 30 pts 151 dode 27 pts 8 tosh874 21 pts 290 Dazza 19 pts 315 Sybe 19 pts 363 razza 17 pts 2 Michael 17 pts 216 Speedtech 15 pts 48 Tinman 14 pts 106 Albz 10 pts 488 dave 7 pts 3 Johno 7 pts 137 MoR 6 pts 561 Murf 2 pts 288 Ironmac 0 pts 46 Nezza 0 pts 126 Leech 0 pts 300 Matty 0 pts 435 Mart 0 pts 507 Neil THE POINT BATTLE By the time last night was over, the point battle was down to 2 people: Tosh and Dave. At the start of the meeting, there was only 10 points in it, and by the time the heats had finished, there was only 9. The title hindged on the all important grand final, and with the grid packed, it was set to be an epic race. I think it was about halfway through the race, that Dave hit trouble, and he was out of the points paying positions. Tosh however, was driving a steady race, and with crossing the line in 6th, and Dave failing to score, it meant that Tosh had won the Winter Series Points title. Well done to Tosh on replacing Drumbstick as the champion. He was consistan at every meeting. Congratulations to must go to Dave as well. It not normal for a yellow top to up at the sharpe end, but with consistant performances, Dave more than held his own, so well done Dave as well. Finally, congratulations to third place man Tom D. He managed to overturn a points deficit of his own to take third place from myself. Well done to Tom. THE WINTER SERIES SHOOTOUT After the meeting had finished, I quickly calculated the points so that the grid could be announced. The grid looked like this. IN OUT Row 1 ; 8 - 488 Row 2 ; 112 - 3 Row 3 ; 531 - 315 Row 4 ; 363 - 290 Row 5 ; 291 - 136 Row 6 ; 151 - 288 Row 7 ; 216 - 2 Row 8 ; 137 - 48 Row 9 ; 300 - 106 Row 10 ; 561 - 507 Row 11 ; 46 - 126 Row 12 ; 435 - 0 With one or two drivers not taking to the field, we were left with 18 cars on the grid. The race was very hectic at the start with myself dropping well out of contention. Dazza and Michael were also early spinners in the race. As the race went on, first Marten and then Kruiz were spun out of the race. This left Tosh in the lead. However, this was to change, as a collision with Leech saw Tosh out of the race. TomD picked up the running, and took his first ever F1 UK Dirt title. He was followed home by Lee in second, and Walker in third. Congratulations to TomD on becoming the 2009 Winter Series Shootout Champion. RESULT: 112, 531, 363, 137, 315, 216, 2, 290, 3, 136 FINALLY...... Remember..... the first meeting is........THURSDAY 12TH MARCH @ 8PM...........Buxton Cheers Johno EDIT: Thanks also to Tosh for the action shots of pretty much every round. Superb stuff sir.

  12. I have you down as yellow Mart. That must be based on last years winter series
  13. Steve Jacklin 136 ok Mart?
  14. I will just have a look sir
  15. Peronsally, I enjoyed the evening. I just got unlucky in a few places, and my points score was poor. I thought the starts were better, as the grades were not mashed together. I think it will be even better with more cars, as we were too sapce out early on, but with a bit of common sense on my part, it worked. I also think that we kept the gaps a lot better. I watched the position ticker at the bottom a lot, and I thought that the gaps looked very consistant, so well done there. Anyway, not th best night for me points wise, but good for pace, and still learning the contact as well. Cheers Johno
  16. Points chart updated. With only 1 meeting to go, its a 2 horse race for the Winter Series Points title. In terms of the shootout, it was a big night for Tom D tonight, as he crrently sits on row 2. All to play for tomorrow night, so gte yorselves booked in.
  17. Hello Guys, First if all, thanks to everyone that raced tonight. I know it was a difficult choice what with Simstox F2's being on a Wednesday night as well, and this is why we have made the agreement about start times for the season. Hope they didnt let Hutch run away with everything this evening Anyway, lets deal with the good before we get to the bad..... For us, it was a good night for Walker who took the meeting final. If all the action happening at the back of the pack, it was inevitable that a lower grader would win, and he drove a cracking race, so well done Walker. The rest of the night belonged to Tom D, who was in inspired form for every race excpet the final. 3 wins on the evening, and one to watch in tomorrow nights shootout perhaps. Elsewhere, superb to see Michael back on track once again. He hasn't lost the pace, and I am sure with a bit more race practice, and of course, racing a little more, he could be one to keep your eye on next year. Dave was his consistant self, and has closed the gap on Tosh in the points. Speaking of Tosh, he had a bad night. A couple of slow races, but some bad luck with backmarkers, and hitting cars at the wrong time saw him score low. The same could be said for me though too!! Anyway, here are the results and points for tonight. Results: Heat 1: 112 363 500 488 290 3 561 2 8 188 Heat 2: 112 507 8 315 488 290 561 500 2 363 A-Final: 363 315 488 112 2 3 8 300 500 561 GN 1: 112 315 2 363 500 561 488 3 8 300 Points: 49 pts 363 razza 44 pts 112 Tom D 35 pts 315 Sybe 32 pts 488 dave 25 pts 2 Michael 20 pts 8 tosh874 20 pts 500 Allstar 19 pts 3 Johno 14 pts 561 Murf 10 pts 300 Matty 7 pts 290 Dazza 7 pts 507 Neil 1 pts 188 Aub THANKS ONCE AGAIN TO EVERYONE THAT RACED TONIGHT. NUMBERS ARELOOKING TO BE HIGHER TOMORROW NIGHT, SO BE SURE TO GET YOURSELF BOOKED IN FOR WHAT SHOULD BE AN EXCITING FINALE. (Sorry about caps - cant be bothered to re-write it though ) Now for the bad I dont like writing bad things on results threads, but based on what people have said, I feel a need to give you a little reminder ahead of tomorrow night. First of all, backmarkers....... Can we please try and be a littlemore respectful to the leaders, especially if they are faster than you when they come to lap you. This is a situation that we can talk about for ages, but just give each other a bit of respect and you will get it back. And if you are a backmarker, and are faster, dont go belting or spinning drivers on the lead lap. Just tap them wide and go. I know I did this to Allstar and he came back at me, so I tapped him again. The second time I think he realised he was a lap up o me so left me. Thats using a bit of common sense in my book. And finally over the top hits...... Can I just remind you that normal UK Dirt rules apply, even though it is the winter series. I have tried to be lenienet, and have given out no bans, just warning PM's, but if you get a ban, it will count in the main season. Once again, I will send out warning PM's (as is is different drivers again), but this means that we will be watching you carefully. Tomorrow, we are likely to have a steward, and if he thinks it is excessive, then you will be loaded. There is no need for it in any meeting. I know people lose there rag from time to time (have done it myself), but think about it, and dont wreck anyone elses race. Then sort it out in chat. Don't keep bringing it back onto the track. Anyway, both of them just require a bit of common sense, and the racing can be good, as it has been this winter series with a couple of exceptions. So with that in mind, I will take my teachers hat off, not give any detentions this time, and leave you with some homework to re-read the rules again!! Cheers Johno
  18. Hello Guys, Sorry for arriving here so late first of all. I am madly downloading the Hot Rod mod as we speak!! On to tonight, and with 16 people booked in, including TomD Neil, it will mean that tonights racing will be all in. Can you please make sure you are in chat for 20:25 so that we can make a prompt start. The server will be left open for practice during Hot Rod races. Cheers Johno
  19. Hello guys, Here is the upcoming double header which starts tomorrow. First of all, the all important format for the two days: WEDNESDAY NIGHT F1 Heat 1 (F1’s to remain in the server after the race) F1 Heat 2 Hot Rods Heat 1 (Rods to remain in the server after the race) Hot Rods Heat 2 F1 Final Hot Rods Heat 3 (Rods to remain in the server after the race) Hot Rods Heat 4 F1 Grand National HOT RODS BRITISH DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP THURSDAY NIGHT Hot Rods Heat 1 F1 Heat 1 (F1’s to remain in the server after the race) F1 Heat 2 (F1’s to remain in the server after the race) F1 Heat 3 *If required Hot Rods Heat 2 F1 Final Hot Rods Heat 3 F1 Grand National Hot Rods Final F1 Winter Series Shootout WEDNESDAY NIGHT F1’s will race in the server 2 (ending .91). Whilst I would encourage you all to give the Hot Rods a go on one of their biggest nights of the year, the server will be open for you to go in and practice during the Hot Rod races. Hot Rods will race in server 1 (ending .90). Whilst I would encourage you to race the F1’s, the server will remain open for practice during the F1 races. THURSDAY NIGHT In terms of the servers, it will be the same for both. F1’s will only have 2 heats per driver (rather than the scheduled 3 for the winter series) due to the fact that there is a big extra race at the end of the night, over 25 racing laps. The grid for the Winter Series Shootout will be calculated after the Grand National whilst the Hot Rods have their final. I would appreciate it greatly if you could book in ASAP for Thursday night, so that I can adjust my spreadsheet accordingly. In terms of the Winter Series Shootout, a maximum of 26 drivers will be allowed on the grid, and it will be calculated in points order based on the final points chart. F1 STARTING INFORMATION FOR THE DOUBLE HEADER After the announcement regarding the rules changes for the start of the races, it was decided that the double header will be the place to trial the new starting positions. The map shows where the grades will start. When the computer gives you control of the car, you need to do the following: - Drive the car past the start line (do not go to your position without doing this – this means there is no need to reverse). - Use this lap to find you place on the grid. If you are a white, this means driving round carefully for 1 full lap – superstars, you just need to do half a lap after passing the start line. - The normal routine will then kick in......”Are you ready?”........ “Roll at 20mph”........... - Drivers are to roll round for a full lap. “Gooooooooooooooo” will be called when the whites exit turn 4. - All starts will be watched at the end of the meeting, and anyone judge to have been exceeding the speed limit on the rolling lap will be docked 2 places. FINALLY, I DO HOPE THAT YOU ALL HAVE A GOOD EVENING. Bookings for the F1’s Wednesday meeting are being done on the UK Dirt Website. Bookings for the Thursday are on the relevant thread on the Rfactor F1 Forum. Bookings for the Hot Rods Wednesday meeting are being done on the UK Dirt Website. Bookings for the Thursday are on the relevant thread on the Rfactor Hot Rod Forum. Cheers Johno
  20. Just spotted this thread - keep the information coming Mart - its very interesting.
  21. Ouch - that does not sound good - will have to use buttons on the steering wheel like me
  22. No need to apologise - if you unsure, its always best to ask!! Cheers Johno
  23. We did discuss your point at the admin meeting, but decided that we would stick to more traditional real life things. I think the reason why Kev got a little confused is because he thinks that you think that every Wednesday meeting counts towards Thursday racing, and this is not the case. There are only 2 Wednesday meetings that have any effect on Thursdays, and that is the Wednesday Skegness before the UK Open, and the Wednesday before the European, but both championship meetings give you other ways to qualify for the final, or championship on the Thursday. In terms of the UK Open, only the two heats on the Wednesday count towards the UK Open championhship grid. The final and the Grand National are stand alone races. Each driver then gets a further 3 heat races on the Thursday to either improve on their grid slot, or indeed qualify for the championship race. Even if you should not qualify for the Championship race, you will still have 3 heats races, and still have a meeting final, before the championship race itself takes place. In terms of the European, the other way to qualify is to make sure that you are in the top 14 of the National Points chart before the European double header. If you fail to make the European Championship race, then there is still a full meeting programme on the Thursday (2 heats, final and Grand National) We feel i the case of both Championships that the option is there to qualify through different methods. Sure, one of those methods maybe closed of for you, but the other methods maybeclosed off to others - do you see what I mean? All the other 4 Wednesday meetings have no bearing on the Thursday meeting. They are just stand alone meetings to add a little variety and spice. Some carry National Series points, some don't. I think it is important that we dont go stale and just go through the motions so to speak. We need to try and keep things fresh and keep things interesting. The European double header is not a new addition to the calendar, and as been in place for 3 years already now, and last year was the first time it was falgged up. Despite it being flagged up, the Wednesday meeting got one of the highest attendances of the season. I fully understand that you will be disappointed, but people miss meetings for a multitude of reasons. Marten was the unluckiest guy last year, as he booked his place on row 2 of the World final, and then couldnt racebecause of the real life World Final (following the passion that the high percentage of us follow). People have missed their semi finals because of holidays and what not. I myself have to miss a few meetings this season, due to one reason or another. Unfortunately, this is part of racing as well. I apologise for the in depth explanation now.... and hope you still awake to read the full thing!! This hopefully explains the reasoningbehind it, but by all means ask further questions if you so wish. Cheers Johno Edit: Just to bore poor Allstar even further (I am sorry sir!!), the reason why we cant run a qualification race for the European Championship is because we have to run a Heat meeting later on that evening. The European Championship race is an extra race on top of the meeting, and a qualification race would be yet another. We could always start the Thursday meeting at 7:30pm, but this has also caused a lot of people problems in the past. The only thing we can do is try to warn you as far in advance as possible, so that perhaps you could sort something out down the line. Just bare in mind that you can still qualify for both championships, using other routes.
  24. Hello Guys, Here is the first release of the Rfactor F1 Newsletter. There will be a newsletter released at the end of each grading period, mainly releasing the new grades for the league. This newsletter will also appear on Allstox. Included in this issue is the following: - Major announcement regarding the implementation of a National Series - Major announcement regarding an increased number of Rfactor meetings - Information about some of the rule changes that are set to take place - A full fixture list - Initial information about the skin pack release. I do hope that you enjoy reading it. We have decided to publish it in the PDF format so that it is available to more people, as this is a free piece of software. Also we feel it presents a bit better, and there are no compatibilty issues. Please feel free to make comments on any aspect of the newsletter. Cheers Johno (on behalf of the F1 Admin Team) Newsletter_main.pdf
