  2. Ah, thanks for clearing that up Trash
  3. Thats the one, thanks m8
  4. I have looked for patches and have found and downloaded patch v1.04 but it needs v1.01 first and i cant find it anywhere. There are very few websites for this game anymore and I have discovered that Ratbag games was closed in 2005. P.S I tried the compatibilty thing but its says the same thing.
  5. Does any body else have Poweslide by Ratbag games? It is a fairly old game now, but i found it this morning while decluttering my computer desk. I had completely forgotten about it, but rember it being a very enkoyable game to play. I tried to install it and play, but it just says it cannot be run on Windows NT. Not sure what it means by that as I have Windows XP, but does anyone else have it? and is there a way to get it to play on XP? Cheers Kruiz
  6. Can anyone recomend any sites that I can download shortish oval tracks (preferably dirt, sprint car tracks etc.) but any will do tbh. I just fancy driving at few different tracks offline instead of the UK ovals for a bit of change. Since a reformatted i lost all my tracks and every mod site i know/used to know has either shut down completely or i cant find any short oval tracks. By short I mean anything about the size of or shorter than Bristol US, Richmond etc which are fairly suitable for F1's. Thanks Kruiz
  7. Welly, Im using a usb connection at the moment, so i will give an ethernet cable a try aswell. Beefy, thanks for recomending a modm as i am using the voyager 105 like the one you had that is 2 years old. Thanks for the ideas and i will definately try everything that has so far been suggested, as I hav worked out that i have been disconnected from 47 races so far this season (in all mods). Its become more than annoyance, its probably part of the season as to why im finding ukdirt increasingly frustrating tbh.
  8. yup just click ok, if you can try and get a new provider aol is crap, i had aol when i stayed with mu my and dad it it kept disconnecting. ive also heard of others who use aol with the same prob I've wanted a new ISP for years but my dad (who pays for it) is scared to go with anyone else as hes been with ISp's that are even worse in the past and AOL are the only ones we have had that has actually worked.
  9. Also, how do I turn off the windows firewall? I clicked 'off' but it still shows it as on in the secuirity center, is this right? [attachmentid=16992]
  10. Thanks lads I will try that for now. I know 2mb isn't very high but AOL have promised to double our connection speed although that was over 18 months ago....... Thanks Kruiz
  11. Hi (again lol), Half way through the Ukdirt Season (roughly) in all mods, and on average I have been disconnected from at least one race per meeting, and I am now desperate to get to the bottom of it. I am only disconnected in meetings, never in practice which is strange so it must have something to do with the gap in between races. I have a 2mb DSL connection with AOL but other people use AOL and don't have (as many) problems. I have 114gb left on the memory out of 145gb and all graphics options say 'awesome' in brackets so I assume its not that. I turn down all the options to there lowest settings, except resolution which I put on 1024 x 768 which is my default screen resolution anyway. I restart the computer & run enditall & ccleaner before each meeting and sometimes before each race if i get time/remember. And even after all that I still struggle to keep my connection and small things like waiting to long in Jolt before a race or waiting a long time on the grids makes my connection unstable. My connection seems to be worse during the 3rd race of the meeting, and recently my AOL software crashes as well. I have tried reinstalling the software several times and the last time I did it it left me without a connection at all for 2 months and now an even more unstable connction. The only other thing I recently thought of, is the modem. It is a BT Voyager 105 USB ADSL modem. It is as old as my computer (about 3 years). I just wonder if the modem may need replacing or possibly any other part of the connection bewtween my computer and the phone socket as some parts may even be old than my computer from the last computer I had. Any help is greatly appreciated, I know I have started similar threads and thought my connection had improved but it proved to be only temporary. Thanks Kruiz

    Renders

Thats one of the nicest skins I've ever seen. Excellent work.
  16. Absolutely Stunning work
  17. This isnt really a problem, just a question. After noticing that in my bh2005 drivers.txt the line 'body_style' has several different descriptions after it. I was just wondering, what difference does each one make if any. Some have 'ccar', some have 'pcar' and other have 'fcar'? Why is that? Thanks Kruiz
  18. This is the most interesting thread I have read for a long time on here. I agree with what everyone so far has put on this thread and just thought I would add the situation in Northwich, North West England (Near Stoke). Its the same story here really, I live in a fairly rural area, but on a main road on route to Crewe. I think about 5 or 6 years ago you wouldn't ever see any foriegners in Northwich. There was 1 doctor who was Indian, but he had lived here all of his life. There are just 14 houses on our road, 1 old disused barn and on the other side just fields and a dusty farm road. About 5 years ago, all that changed. A new Morrisons warehouse was built right over the road from our house on the other side of the roundabout that is next to us. Since then foriegners walk passed our house virtually every hour or to at the end & beginning of shifts. They are ALL foreign. I'm not sure what nationality they are, there not European anyay. A year later a Large housing estate was built on the fields that our back garden backed out onto, and the barn was knocked down to make way for a Spar shop which is run by Foriegners. A majority that live on the estate are foriegn and like Allstar, most on our road were over 65 but now they most have moved out, and the foriegners are moving in. We used to live on the edge of Northwich town but in a rural looking area. Now, without moving house it feels as we are going to living in a heavily industrialised area within the next 5 years as it contantly develops. Cheers Kruiz
  19. Happy Birthday m8
  20. Happy Birthday lads
  21. NIR for me also, but I would recomend Kings Lynn, always put on a great show with a very smooth Shale surface for some superb controlled powerslides.
  22. Happy Birthday Jarry
  23. Hi He did but i have sent him a pm asking for the .tex file and he hasn't sent it. How long ago did you pm him? Judging by when he painted at the post saying you had pm'd him, it can't much longer than 24 hours ago, which isn't that long. Not everyone logs onto ukdirt forum every day like me. In fact looking at Andy's member information he hasn't logged on since the 12th of June so hes probably not seen your pm yet. I'm sure if you wait a little while longer he will send it you. Cheers Kruiz
  24. I agree, but i would like to see V8 Hotstox, don't know why when there are F1's already...
  25. That is the one bit im not happy with tbh, but I have no idea of how to get that reflective effect in the numbers. Is there anyone that knows how to do that effect that would be willing to teach me please? It would be very helpful as i have needed that effect on a few of my skins and end up just having to use checks instead. Hi Kruiz, great skin as usual mate. If your looking for something to help improve the numbers then try looking here: http://www.phaseiisignsupply.com/holographic_a.html Hope this helps mate Thanks Martin, i think i can try and make something from them,
