Like Pusher, I would like to see a basic setup posted by Admin in advance (like latterly F2 Heat meetings), especially at tracks where the default one supplied in the game is uncompetitive, just so anyone can at least have the chance of not being so far off the pace as to have a miserable experience. I would like to see all meetings run in daylight, unless it is posted well in advance of a meeting (eg 48 hours+) that night races will be run. I think there should be a clamp down on unnecessary chat once cars on on the track. Anyone who talks on the grid for any other reason than essential clarification on an issue should be chucked out of the race. Anyone who remains in Mirc Chat whilst in a race should be loaded up for the night, due to the risk of causing warp or lag.

Hamilton or Alonso would be my top two tips, but will be very interesting to see if Button can keep his form going in a different car, good luck to him.

Well done on the National Series, Tom, and well done on the Final tonight, Tosh. Corny winning the CoC race is hugely impressive, he has thereby shown he can be as good on rFactor as he was on Heat & DTRSC.

Yes it's been good, and next year should be even better. Thanks to all the Admin who put so much good work in on these, plus the lads who have developed the mod, brilliant.

Thanks for the advice Pedz, sounds like I might as well get Replay Fridge turned on then, maybe I can see where I am going wrong then. Just checked by rFactor Config and I have it set on DX7, 800x600 resolution, so I think I have things right there hopefully.

Does having Replays turned on when racing rFactor on-line affect pc performance at all? I am thinking of whether a pc which already struggles to run some of the more graphics/memory intensive tracks on-line is likely to be materially worse when recording replays rather than having replays turned off?

I enjoyed this one. I still got no points but came close to a 10th in a heat until being passed by Aub late on, and was pleased with 2nd in the Consi, but more importantly I was racing close with other drivers which hadn't been happening lately, this track suited me a lot better. Well done Tosh on the GNC, and to all the other winners. Thanks Tom & Drumb.

Will Monday's meeting be raced in daylight setting? If it will be raced in the dark, how do you practice off-line with dark setting?

Thanks for the kind words Tosh, it's given me a lift, and I don't give up easily anyway.

My pc is on max RAM and cant accept a dedicated graphics card so I'll need a new pc before I can get on better with some of these tracks. Having said that, Hednesford was no problem for lag etc for me (Baarlo is the worst for that) although I would have much preferred racing in daylight, I'd never done a lap in the dark round this place, so it's just one more obstacle to being competitive in the meeting. Like one or two other old boys, I am driving a conservative style which seems hopelessly slow now, hopefully next season with surely a certain downgrade to yellow for me plus maybe these cars being tweaked I might be able to get back to enjoying racing as it's a drag being on my own a lot of the time with very little close racing after the first couple of hectic laps (I've usually been spun or crashed by then lol then I am on me todd and trying to get out of the way of cars as they lap me after that). If not, it'll be Brisca Legends and not a lot else for me next year, as it's the only mod I have enjoyed the last 3 months or so.
