  1. Brilliant stuff, I really took to this track, most drivers were on a similar pace and the close racing was awesome. Spent every race having battles with Nezza & Pusher, some good stuff with Walker too. No probs about the GN Nezza, it was good practice for me too to take a few hits. Thanks to Trav & Drumb for running it, and well done TomD & SpeedTech, and sorry to hear of lack of enthusiasm from Aub, can't understand it myself but this all feels still new to me so I'm loving it.
  2. Wee Dode#151 Sustained lapdown attempts to prevent another driver from winning the Hot Rod World Final, regarded as being Unsportsmanlike Conduct. A life ban from UK Dirt Hotrods. The removal of 2nd Tier Admin status for the banger mod. A 3 month all mods ban. He can race again (other than in Hot Rods) from 17 August 09.
  3. Munch#264 Swearing in general in race chat - One week ban all mods. He will be able to race again on 24th May 2009.
  4. Excellent Newsletter, it has a good easy-to-read format, well done all.
  5. Awesome pics Leech, top stuff m8, thanks for putting them up.
  6. Well done to Mike, and a superb meeting's racing, I loved it. Great racing with Harold, Walker, Bobbert, Leech and others. Thanks to Aub and all the stewards for running it.
  7. Thanks for the clarification, Hooty. It's still early days for a lot of us in terms of getting used to the feel and especially the contact in rFactor - things will improve for everyone with experience although that's not to say it's not very good already becuase IMO it is.
  8. I would have loved to do the Sexberium meeting as I went realtively well there last season, but 8pm was too early for me sadly. I did a fair bit of practice for Baarlo and even offline the graphics seemed a bit dodgy for my low spec pc - the armco seemed to be making my pc work hard. I found the track tricky but hoped for the best - sadly the meeting was terrible for me, after online practice being dicey I turned the Display settings down even lower than usual ie all to minimum, but still found a bad feel to it and spent two heats all over the place - sorry to anyone who I might have caused bother for. At that point I gave up as did not want to mess the Final up. Sadly it looks like Baarlo must be a track that I won't be able to race on this pc. Strangely even typing in race chat went funny just before I left - I had to type each letter really slowly else it would not take it!
  9. Yes the site is still down. Will be up again as soon as poss.
  10. I have not touched the wheel settings Nezza, they are the default ones that loaded in rFactor when I plugged it in.
  11. Lee#531 Swearing in race chat - Two weeks ban all mods. He will be able to race again on 6th May 2009.
  12. Very kind of you indeed Walker, thanks very much - a splendid gesture! You'll have already read how chuffed I was with last week's improvement. Whether I can keep it up is another matter but I'll certainly be trying my best.
  13. Big Al 515 booking in as less of a white top mobile chicane than I used to be
  14. I haven't been buzzing as much after a meeting as last night for a long time. I was punching the air after getting a 3rd place in heat 5, I couldn't believe it. Even 9th in an earlier heat would have been enough to totally make my night. After adjusting graphics settings thanks to advice how to turn them down and getting more laps under my belt, everything finally seeemed to click last night and I felt I could actually race with some others rather than just watch for cars to get out of the way of. It would have been nice to have one or two more white tops (get back out there Spike) but this was made up for by the fact me & Harold had early battles in every race we were together in, real good clean place swapping. Thanks Harold. The Final and UK Open races were not surprisingly frantic and I've lost track of what happened to me later on in both races but I can remember getting spun and ending up facing backwards mid track - sorry to anyone who hit me then or any other time - that's racing as they say and I'm still learning but at last I feel now the only way is up. Thanks to Kev for his sterling work as steward yet again and to Johno too.
  15. Great pics thanks Walker to remind me what a brill night I had!!! Cheers mate.
  16. Yes well done Mike, you seemed super quick all night, don't think you are stopping yellow for long based on tonight.
  17. My two heats were reasonable, I mainly kept out of people's way by going wide. Then I seemed to be getting a better line in the Final which was dropping my lap time a bit and was pleased with 11th, would have really liked to get in the top 10 but it was not to be. The Grand National was a disaster for me, I stuck at 20mph until the "go" was called but the other white was gone and the yellows were right on my bumper down the straight and one of them fired me in, so I did them back next bend. I had some sympathy with Trav when he left because I hate to read moaning in race chat, save it for the Forum.
  18. Big Al 515 booking in as a white top mobile chicane
  19. Thanks Mor - I'd have been one hitting problems tonight if you hadn't have flagged this up.
  20. Nice bunch of photos, well done Leech, good stuff.
  21. No problem mate although I think my total points are still wrong - got 10th in both my heats and in Final too so i think that's 4 points not 3?
