  3. Got to be honest that racing looked hard. With the World Final mid meeting I knew the racing would be mega with people forced to stay so I couldn't miss out with a few cheeky 20 car heats! All in the aid of good stock car racing! Congrats to Dan making it 3 in a row, and well done to all of tonight's winners. Thanks to everyone for taking part... That's what really matters! Hope you all enjoyed the show as much as the admin team did, we certainly did our best!

  7. Tonight will see the UKDirt F1 Stockcars turn back time as they head to Bradford Stadium. Bradford will host Shootout Round 2, however this will be the first shale round so this will be our first glance of Shootout shale shifting!   10. Everyone has a bad meeting to be honest, and from what I saw you were having a blinder hahaa. In all honesty all you can do is hold your head up and move on, and if your rubbish meetings are anything like mine you will go and have an epic meeting next week hahaa!
  11. Please click the links in RED to load the Photos/Videos! So the biggest title race of 2014 is finally upon us, and what a cracker we have lined up! Yes of course I can't resist a bit of a cliché to start with so for all you 90s Britpop enthusiasts here's cliché number 1 in the form of Shed Seven - Going For Gold. 20 WCQR's > 70 different participants > 48 semi finalists > 20 direct qualifiers > 1 World Champion Semi Final 1 Race Report Semi Final 1 looked the harder of the two, with the big names dominating the front rows with 2 ex-world champions dominating the first two inside rows. Current F2 World Champion DanSkin lined up on pole with current F1 World Champion TomD behind him! After a hectic bit of lining up, Wardie's shed stalled on the roller, a very sporting TomD pushed Wardie to help fire it up. All back in line, and go is called! A very fair race filled the opening laps with everyone settling into place nicely. 236 and 112 drove off into the distance with 180 and 380 toddling around in 3rd and 4th. Mid race H329 tsjalle struck with some debatable driving, firing Scotsman 47 straight into 180 causing a huge bit of carnage on turns 1/2. In 3/4 the Jock struck back and normal service was resumed with 8 lloydy the only victim of the bumper work. H329 drove into the sunset on a mission to catch 236. Speaking of 236, the World Champion himself had found himself having some yellow top trouble in the forum of the lap downers. During this traffic 112 struck giving the F1 World Champion the lead! Some laps later the last bend was finally upon us, and with H329 again dying to strike again, a flat out last bend proved nothing but hilarious as 236 limped across the line in 3rd place of course allowing DanSkin to dish out any payback in the World Final itself! Anyone else wish they were in that H329 machine? I don't! Samson managed to crawl home in 4th place with the gymnast Wardieee bringing home a top 5 finish on a pad, proof to you all that dedication and race craft are more important than fancy wheels! Scrutineering saw 47 fall foul of the rules, seeing #47 docked 4 places. Semi Final 1: 112 329 236 180 380 489 8 47** 394 101 // 474 93 848 599 451 117 641 443 103 374 Semi Final 2 Race Report Semi Final 2 prove to be the more bumper happy Semi, with the likes of 39, 488, 356 and 233 all finding the selves down the order in the early stages. 238 Kane Morgan was the early leader. The current National Points leader drove away leaving the rest to settle it out between themselves. 397 Hamster proved to be Kane's only downfall. Hamster started row 8 inside, and after a few laps of ducking and diving the rest of the field had quite literally vanished leaving a 397 vs 238 showdown. 41 Drumbstick current Irish Champion is also a man worth of a mention. Drumbstick started in last position, however by this point of the race he had already cleared half the pack leaving himself in a nice gap. As the laps went by, 41 caught the next pack making light work of passing the lap down cars including a spinning 249 machine. 356 Mitch Wells had retired by this point. The 2014 novice had managed to secure a row 4 outside position which is truly amazing for a novice, with only one other novice beating him. Mitch would of been truly gutted when he pulled of with car issues, as Mitch had managed to secure the #180 machine for the Semi Finals and of course it was that exact car that finished second in the 2013 WoS. Back upfront Hamster was sitting behind 238 waiting to strike. Of course the last bend came, and the outcome saw 397 finish first with 238 Kane second again leaving a bit of tasty action for the first bend of the world final! Other socks included 544 Micky Finnikin who of course managed to come home in 9th place leaving him in prime pushing position! Semi Final 2: 397 238 52 691 41 151 800 246 544 58 // 589 31 384 146 79 249 711 237 39 488 356 233 Mildenhall Final So we have got two semi finals worth of cars, all battling it out for points in the main meeting itself, along with the addition of some other divers who didn't make their semi finals including yet another real life driver 92 Hoggy and welcomed novice 144 larbojnr. The meeting final was proving to be a tasty one, 394 PaulE managed to scrape a heat win allowing direct qualification, with other winners including 92, 489, H329, 58 and Consolation winner #47 Samson. Of course this being the semi finals, the meeting final had a lovely twist as always! The highest placed World Finalist to finish the meeting final would secure the inside row of the World Final for their Semi Final! The meeting final really was a no nonsense race, 112 and 236 drove off into the night leaving the other superstars to battle it out. 236 soon caught the blues, intimidating them out of the way with the raw speed of his newly renovated Bingley machine! Meanwhile not too far behind, the bumper of the 112 tank was in full use with TomD quite literally bulldozing his way through the pack leaving cars hanging off the fence left right and centre! Early leader was 101 Stokie, a welcomed breath of fresh air for Semi 1 as Stokie had managed to sneak onto the back of the World Final through Semi 1. 58 sat in second place (qualifier), and with a heat win under his belt he was a man on a mission and yet again this yellow roof had also managed to sneak a 10th place in his Semi Final! The battle of the yellows began, and some tit for tat racing kept them occupied with 711 taking 101 to the fence. Whilst the lower grades battled it out World, National, European and British Champion DanSkin closed in on what was to be his first Mildenhall final win in quite some time! Whilst DanSkin kept the foot down, Drabble continued to excel through the field not too far behind. Mid race carnage saw 101 see the infield along with 474 Danny King before he pull straight across some lead cars trying to rejoin the race, yes it was truly a heart in mouth moment! Just laps later 47 and 489 were caught up in some turns 3/4 madness as Mr Started called half way. 489 of course the hero that he is slammed it straight into reverse for the second week running and managed to take out 58 Tom the yellow roof flying the flag for Semi 2. I'm not a gambling man, but I am really tempted to shove a tenner on that 489 car getting a taste of its own medicine pretty soon. DanSkin took the victory and lit up the tyres yet again in celebration of row 3 inside! (Stewards Stumpy and Wardieee didn't spit their dummy out at doughnuts on the infield and won't be trying to ban DanSkin) !UKDirt F2 WORLD FINAL GRID! Row 1 is occupied by F1 World Champion Tom Drabble, with World Cup holder 397 Josh Hampson along side him. Both of these drivers have been sporting enough to have some fun and join me (Wardieee) for a little pre-race chat! Cheers guys! Interview with Tom Drabble AKA TomD #112 Interview with Josh Hampson AKA HamsterJnr397 Row 2 of this 2014 World Final will see young guns tsjalle and Kane line up, and by my calculations will be the youngest row in this year’s world final. Both tsjalle and Kane have more than enough experience to get upfront and lead this race so it’s a row worth watching! One of tsjalle’s finest moments must have been the 2013 F1 World Final where tsjalle took an early lead, holding the likes of 112 and 236 off for over 75% of the race before getting caught up in some backmarkers! Kane has also had his fair share of glory, of course taking the first championship on offer in the f2s this season (Euro Masters). Row 3 has certainly provided a bit of a shock for two reasons! Pole sitter and two time World Champion DanSkin lines up alongside HHunter who is the highest qualifying novice in this 2014 World Final! Well where do I start? DanSkin has been the man to beat over the past few years in both the F1s and F2s taking regular championship wins in both formulas. Dan will be racing towards his third consecutive World Final victory, and if that 236 machine crosses the line in first place it will put Dan down in the history books. Meanwhile Hunter #52 has had a mixed season with many ups and downs however it must be said that row 3 is an amazing achievement for any novice! With a bit of luck on his side, #52 could quite easily fly to the front a take a victory up at Cowdenbeath if the big boys a fired in. Row 4 is yet again occupied by the 180 machine who will be lined up next to #691 Jake Cameron. It’s fair to say that 180 is no stranger to that Row 4 inside position, however with recent injury Wardieee was forced to race Mildenhall on a pad so this year’s row 4 was more a surprise than a disappointment. Wardieee’s intentions are still unknown, however he will be doing his best to get back on a wheel and challenge for this win! Jakeeey aka Jake Cameron lines up alongside #180 to round off a row of recent success. Both Wardieee and Jake joined UKDirt last season with Jake joining in early 2013 and Wardieee coming mid-season. Both Jake and Wardieee get on well, and it will be interesting to see what happens if these two can slot in and work their way to the front! In recent weeks Jake #691 has been back on form, absolutely flying at the recent Sheffield meeting. Can Jake transfer his shale shifting skills onto the tarmac of the Racewall? Row 5 will see 380 Liam Powell line up alongside #41 Drumbstick. 2014 hasn't been Liam’s most successful F2 season by a long way, however Liam still manages to jump between Blue and Red. Cowdenbeath should be an interesting trip for both the Powell brothers, however there will be a lot of pressure on Liam to excel through the field with this Row 5 inside slot! Some first bend carnage should see Liam in prime avoidance position. On the flip side, Drumbstick really couldn’t have asked for a better start to his 2014 season. Around 1 month ago the #41 machine turned up the final WCQR, pulling off enough points to give him access to the World Semi Finals at Mildenhall. Semi 2, Row 12 (outside). I think we can all agree that a row 5 World Final start is an amazing achievement from the back of Semi 2. Row 6 will see 489 Montangoo and 151 Dode line up alongside each other! 489 is yet another driver who hasn’t had the best of seasons. A later return to UKDirt half way through the season was enough to see Montangoo qualify for the semis in a solid position, howver he didn’t quite manage to get the race he was after and was soon caught up in a swarm of battling cars. Montangoo’s shale form has been far better that his tarmac form over recent weeks, so will the trip to the Racewall be the turning points? 151 Dode aka ‘the locked diff king’ will line up alongside Montangoo. Dode has had a phenomenal season with championship wins alongside multiple domestic meeting wins. The Bingley built machine will be the home of the highest qualifying Scotsman. Dode has proved to us all that a locked diff and 6 year old car is the way to go on tarmac this season, quite literally leaving the RCE’s in a trail of his dust! Don’t rule this man out yet, with a home crowd to please and some local track knowledge that 151 machine could well see gold! Row 7 will see lloydy line up alongside fellow UKDirt novice Ben Chambers World of Shale Champion Lloydy has had a good solid season in the tooz this year, proving to hold a good grade throughout the whole season. Lloydy has enough online experience to give him a good run at this race with lots of previous F1 knowledge and of course the World of Shale win! With chaos upfront, row 7 would be the row to look at as both #8 and #800 could quite easily find a gap to squeeze through and take the lead in this championship race! Both Lloydy and Ben’s race pace could be questioned by the leaders, but with a clean get away anything could happen! Ben was yet another late comer to the UKDirt 2014 F2 season, and with loads of online experience he soon settled into the A grade shaking up some of the fellow competitors. Ben certainly has the most challenging spot as the outside row will certainly be pushing, but with a huge crash bound to happen right in front of him will Ben be able to worm his way though? Row 8 will see #47 Samson line up alongside #246 Stox. It’s got to be said, this could quite possibly be the best row of this world final for many reasons. Over past years both Samson and Stox have managed to battle it out making a rather sweet rivalry between themselves! Rivalries aside, Samson could quite possibly be one of the most experienced driver to make the grid and with a preferable inside slot carnage could see the 47 machine fly by in his local World Final. (It’s also worth mentioning real life World Final pics can be found at www.samsonspics.co.uk so give them a look!) Stox the younger of the Powell brothers has proven to be the more successful of the two over past seasons with an English Championship victory at Coventry late last year! Stox is no stranger to victory lane and will be hoping for a decent get away in this World Final to try and upfront to hassle his way to victory! Row 9 or as the inside slotted PaulE would call it, the row of miracles! Yes that’s right, 394 PaulE is set to line up alongside 544 MickyFinn! Novice 394 PaulE will be chuffed with his World Final qualification, especially with huge names like LeeK, Dave and Mitch all failing to qualify! It’s been a season of learning for Paul, however with some luck on his side could a novice take the biggest title in UKDirt ftooz in his first season? There’s not really much to say about the man on the outside MickyFinn. Micky has kept his head down and not really raced much this season. In the semis Micky got the perfect start and advanced up the field giving him a 9th place finish which I’m sure Micky is more than happy with. It’s always nice to see some of the lower graders do well in the semis and this row is certainly proof that anyone can qualify with time and dedication! Good luck lads. So now we look right back to Row 10 which is yet again occupied by yellow roofs. #101 BristolStokie is set to line up next to #58 TomMc. Stokie has been around for many years now, and as some of you more eagle eyed readers may of noticed Stokie is of course the creator of tracks such as Mendips Raceway! Stokie returned to racing around half way through the season with a good impact from yellow seeing Stokie gain enough qualifying points to set him on the semi grid. It should be interesting to see how Stokie gets on through the pack as cars will be retiring left right and centre so a good clean drive could see the 101 machine sneak up into the top 10 of this race. Tom #58 is yet another driver who hasn’t really raced much this season however the same can be said for Tom, a clean race could see the #58 machine plod around to a good finishing position after the carnage of the World Final place! !UKDirt F2 CONSOLATION SEMI FINAL GRID! The Consolation Semi Final will take place at 8PM on the World Final night, and what a race it’s going to be with some huge names including superstar #39 LeeK and real life F2 World Finalist Ashley England failing to directly qualify for the UKDirt World Final race. Unlike the real one we are guaranteed to have enough cars with shale points to turn up and race, where as the real one saw a booking list which was made up of more than 50% of people that weren't in the top 60 WoS qualifiers (people who hadn't actually qualified) (it therefore seems stupid to host a race for the last 4 places on the grid)
