Hello Racers Welcome to the Video edit of Sunday's Grand Final - Round 5 of the UKDirt rFactor Autumn Series from Belle Vue. The last video before the mid-series break. Shame I couldnt be there again this week, but the racing looked action packed but tricky to be consistant, with it being even more tricky for the star men to win here, even with the lower turnout than previous meetings. Round 5 - Grand Final Video Video should also be available fo download in higher quality on www.magiclamp.org very shortly! Hope you enjoy it. Cheers, Chris PS I will be doing an action video prob at the end of the series. If you have any particular clips from the series you want me to feature, please PM me your replay's (dont need any Final replay's)

lol, now you come to mention it it does look much more like a a125 sheerline, i'm not very good with old cars! Think it said Oldsmobile in the proggie, unless I dreamt it. I'm still knackered from the very long weekend. -

oh rite, I thought he was taken away then saw his car come out (spinning lol) for DD, dont know who was driving it then. -
I dont think Simon Reed's Limo would be road legal at that length, he must have picked it up from another Banger driver who had extended it if he hadnt done it himself. It was huge though.

You could see it coming when he parked his Armstrong on that bend before the race had even started. There was some G-force going through that barrier when the DS420 hit side-on, I'm not surprised his seat broke! -

Did it, I wondered where he disappeared to! lol I couldnt see him in the car at all and I was in perfect view. It was one hell of an impact with the barrier. I thought the armco would give way with about 7 tonnes of car's hitting both hitting perfectly square on. Gayboy did try and get back out for the DD but he car was too far gone with that hit The Bentley Biltz on Mr.Mint is here http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=DZuwgL-Akzc -
Video here (at bottom of this post) of Simon Reed's hit on Belgium Kevin Huy...sumthin or other in his 1940's Oldsmobile Coupe Some epic cars turned up including a 'Bentley' from Pewee. I think flag marshalls would be a great addition personally. Also notice while doing the vids that you cant see the steering wheel move from exterior shots. Other mods do, and know also have their arms and body moving with the wheel. This would be a nice graphical improvement. How about small moveable marker cones on the inside of track where each grade has to line up? Also... does Birmingham have warp issues?? I saw 3 other people's replays in Round 2 Final which had minor warp, and it is the one track I have major issues with getting kicked from the server, not seeing any chat msgs, and not being lapscored resulting in me finishing last (not entirely the tracks fault though, partly down to my ISP) but I think it's worth just looking at as it is possible it could cause problems in the future, when people's connections aren't spot on. FYI I think there were 24 cars on the server on that occasion.

Just delete your cookies it should re-load fine. I've heard of 'armchair' fans (as we call those that only watch sport on the tv) but that's being really lazy now Jeff lol would be good to see you race a meeting at some point if possible. Cheers Kruiz, I try to involve everyone if I can and a little bit at random as I review the replay looking for action, but it can be a bit of a juggle, don't blame me if some of the mid-fielders sometimes get missed

I just dont see why people still have an issue about contact. I think its a perfect balance now between realism and playability and what can actually be acheived on-line with rFactor I think its a Brilliant job and a big well done to everyone involved. As you can see from last Sunday's video near the end (just after the race finished) some big hits can still be acheived if required!

I hope this thread has been an excellent tutorial to you dalags You cant get this kind of knowledge at college

I found a couple of vids on V8 Supercars and their chassis adjustments, It's not specific to Stockcars, however a few more things might make more sense to newcomers if they watch it. Aussie V8 Chassis Adjustment Part 1 Aussie V8 Chassis Adjustment Part 2 Also when I used to race Radio Controlled 1/10 Rally & Touring Cars a few years back I found some very good tips in various manuals and web on chassis setup, so if you search for this it will probably give you a surprisingly good guide to setup. (ok the spring rates may be slightly different lol)

Hello racers Welcome to the Video edit of Sunday's Grand Final - Round 4 of the UKDirt rFactor Autumn Series from Ipswich. Once again, members can download this tomorrow in high quality from TheMagicLamp.org. I have to compress it a little more and change the date in the titles first Round 4 - Grand Final Video Hope you enjoy it. Cheers, Chris

Cheers, will d/l and install that again tonight, its a top mod. Looking forward to the pickup trucks coming out soon as well. I tried to get that my lad about 4 months ago but I dont think its released yet.
-
I think I had that mod some time ago before I formatted my hard drive. Was very impressed with it, the realism and the different "Gentlemen, Start your Engines" intro's for the Races. I think that's the same mod as it was Standalone.
-
that might be partly down to his equipment and crew than his driving. I think he'll come good next season...if he can stop crashing
-
I fancy having a go on-line with the V8 Supercars, NASCAR and the WTCC mod. They all look very good if you get a good turnout of cars. I think we should have a UKDirt team in a US NASCAR meet at some time
