Firstly a huge thanks to all of the admins for tonight's meeting, Ben, Lee, Stumpy ect.... It was certainly an interesting night from my perspective with many ups and downs. Two very easy wins in my first two heats followed by 2 punctures in my next heats.... Lining up for my 5th and final heat I knew I needed a miracle to get up to a good spot on the grid, and after a rather fluffy hit from 192 the car was allover the place. Tbh I was struggling all night for consistency, the setup was kinda everywhere, its by far the least preparation I have done for a championship in a long time with a little practice before work today. I was far from confident on the first start, letting Hoggy and Jalle drive away praying they were going to fight, however going down the next straight my dreams came true as 92 and 329 tangled blessing me and ben with an easy lead and quite a big lead before the RS. On the second restart I was even less confident. I thought my luck had truly run out, after getting a whole lot of it in the first start, but I just stuck with my plan hoping both 92 and 329 would tangle yet again. On go im not sure what really happened, I just did my best to sit behind hoggy, and well it clearly worked! We both came out of the bend sideways and off we went. A few laps later I caught a rather damaged 92 car, and well to be honest I thought I was home clear however my beloved Fake Wardy once again showed up to get his 2 pence worth out of the situation with me and hoggy both suffering damage early on and with some lapped traffic causing us both issues the fake one managed to have a try at driving away. Fair play to the apprentice, he really did try! A few more cars turned up and experience beat speed as I passed Jnr and well the rest is history! All in all a very good nights racing, so thanks to everyone who raced!

Awesome meeting tonight, really enjoyed it however its fair to say it was a bloody stressful one! Big thanks to Dan, Stumps and co for the meeting... Also a huge thanks to everyone else who makes the F1s happen both behind the scenes and the RMs I'm quite literally over the moon, thought I was lucky to get away so easy thanks to Fake Wardy's cockup! I've had seconds in World Finals, I've come from the back of the pack to take podium is huge races, however I have never ever taken a championship win in the F1s... So this title means a lot to me, I can finally say I have won a major in each mod, one of my main ambitions over the past few years. I just feel rather sorry for LeeK, as my two stunning cars need a new roof... Thanks a lot!

I was having this discussing in TS with Hoggy and Ryan Sharp last night. Personally I think Stumpy does a grand job, and tbh the racing would be extremely different without him, and no matter your opinion on having a live steward the racing would go down hill without him. Stumpy is one man in a server of 24 cars. Half of which Stumpy will watch on the roller. The simple fact of the matter is that you will all roll past stumpy at some point, all rolling past 6 (ish) at a time. Now you are asked to roll at 20MPH/32KPH MAX - KEEPING THE GRADE GAPS THE SAME now this doesn't mean roll at 21 - 15 - 17 - 25 then saying oh well I've averaged 20 because by doing so all you are doing is bunching the people at the back of the grid up. The less consistent the average speed at the front of the grid is, the more the reds and superstars start to bottle neck, resulting in go being called with superstars doing 30 and red tops doing 10... This is the reason a lot of restarts are made with issues regarding Whites and Yellows, simply because they are not consistently rolling around at a steady speed. Luckily for the repeat offenders I am not a huge part of the F2 admin team anymore, because as you all know the repeat offenders would simply be removed from the race if I was the RM of the meeting... So consider yourselves lucky you have people like Ben and Stumpy who are kind enough to give people a second chance, or even a third chance when it comes to messing up the start of a race, as in the past some admins (myself being one) simply wouldn't allow it.... Consider yourselves lucky. Now with regards to Buxton, rolling laps are never especially good here because its an 'odd track' now when I say an odd track im not talking about how slippy it is or the wall or anything like that, I'm referring to the shape of the track. We have 2 common types of track, we have the small ones like Barford, Westworld, Skegness, Mildo, where we commonly race so therefore we have a good idea of where each grade should be, we then have the average tracks, so Birmingham, Cov, Kings Lynn, NIR, Cowdie, Bradford, Stoke ect where the tracks are around the same size so the grades line up in around the same kind of area. Racing at these tracks a lot makes the lining up very clear and easy, especially with them being around the same kind of size. Then you get the odd tracks like Buxton, Belle Vue, Knock Hill which are all very different to each other, and nobody really knows where the grades should be so its down to the whites and yellows to get themselves around to the front, then everyone else kind of needs to hold back and wait for the steward of the meeting to grid them up, however with these tracks not being raced so often even they will find it hard. Drivers simply need to cooperate with the stewards otherwise it turns into a case of the blind leading the blind, and nobody needs that! To quote the General Rules off the UKDirt website...... Now to be quite simple there are two ways of dealing with an issue such as this, bringing it up on the forum not being one. 1) As per the General Rules, speak to the Race Manager VIA PM, who may speak to the DP team to have a watch... If they find any issues they will deal with it via PMs or possibly discipline action depending on the suspects and repeat offenders. 2) PM the Head Admin of the formula AFTER a race, in which case he will tell the RM which will lead to Step 1 being carried out, however the head admin themselves may bring it up with Stumpy in which case Stumpy can keep a keen eye on the offenders. We have all of the correct procedures in place, it's simply down to the 'complainer' to complain via PM in MIRC or Via the forum. All of the correct steps are in place. If you don't follow the correct procedures that we have put in place, nobody will notice it has happened and nothing will be done about it.

So this week the UKDirt F1 Stockcars head to the east coast for some more thrilling championship action at Skegness Stadium, where the current British Champion Jakeeey 691 will be looking to defend this Black and White roof! Last time out at Skegness Jake managed to win the feature final adding the UK Open Championship to his collection, however with a slightly different format and a few more danger men will Jake managed to dominate yet again? World Champion Tom Drabble is certainly one of the keen favourites to stop him, however after quite a few big problems at Nutts Corner will Tom be back to his usual dominating ways on tarmac? Simpson 653 was of course the last person to win a tarmac final, securing the Irish Championship over at Nutts Corner. Ryan has certainly been on the pace this year in the F1s so it will be interesting to see if he can keep up with the big boys now he is running off red. Two people you certainly can’t count out of the equation are Liam Brown and Tsjalle. Both of these two drivers have dominated on tarmac over the past few months, so it will be interesting to see what they can do when racing under the pressure of winning this prestigious major. The British is famous for its closed grid format, usually lead by a dominant lower grader who has managed to score really well in the heats. Stox 246 would certainly of been a favourite for taking pole in the British however after dominating from yellow he has managed to move himself to red, one of the real hit of miss grades when racing in a format like this. The yellows to look out for will certainly be DanW and DBecks both currently scoring well from yellow, and very much on the pace. Skegness is also likely to attract a few drivers who haven’t races so much this season, including the returning 167 machine of CB. Callum has been out in a novice car already this season, however the eagerly awaited 167 machine is likely to be seen in its new livery around Skeg. Jack Morgan in the 249 machine is yet another driver we are likely to see around for the British. Jack hasn’t raced much this year, however after last week’s Kings Lynn final win Jack will certainly be up for some British Championship Action! As always drivers are expected to meet in chat at 8:20, ahead of an 8:30 start. Each driver will race in 5 heats each, with the top 22 points scorers qualifying for the British Championship, with the highest points scorer starting on pole position of the closed grid finale! Bookings are now open – Book in via the website!

It's a bit soon for anything of this kind Harry, as I'm sure you can respect however I myself will certainly be turning up and doing it for Aaron. Over time we will arrange an event of some kind...

As some people may have already heard, yesterday 21/05/16 it was announced that we had tragically lost one of our own.... Personally, I was lucky enough to of known Azza from day one, racing online with him for a good few years many moons before I even showed my face on here racing over a variety of rFactor leagues both on the ovals and on the road courses. Aaron was a true gent, and nothing went unappreciated wether it be setup tips, or even just a little breathing space on track. He truly respected those around him, and would literally do anything for anyone which is a rare thing these days. Aaron's true light showed in the 2012 season, where with some setup tips and a little advice he managed to keep me on my toes both in the national points series and in the big championship races over at our regular home back then. After a successful two seasons, Aaron teamed up with another fellow friend Matt creating a league running the national hotrod mod of which both myself and Grasser233 raced for a good couple of seasons. Aaron really did love his non contact racing, and even managed to persuade drumstick, Grasser and myself to start working on a little update for the hotrods. Aaron inspired the major rework of Arena Essex spending many hours testing with myself and a few others. At the time I had very little knowledge in what I was doing, but with Aaron's sheer determination I just couldn't let him down, and after around 30 different versions we settled on what is today's Arena 1.1. From then on we worked on fixing many issues, and I'm sure the day will come where all of this is released, however this just goes to show how much of an inspiration Aaron was to the racing we have today. Not many people see what goes on behind the closed doors, however I'm sure both Grasser and Drumb will agree, Aaron & Matt really pushed the hotrods! No words can truly describe the loss of this young inspiration, not only as a fellow driver, or a fellow stockcar fan, because Aaron was quite simply one of the most loyal best friends any of us could ever of asked for. Not only myself, CB, HamsterJnr, Hoggy, BenChambers, Grasser, Simmo, Jakeeey, Samson just to name a few. For those of you who know both me and Aaron well, this will come as no surprise, but through any hard times like these we would always have a nice cheerful singsong in teamspeak! So don't worry Ayza, Monday night we will be blasting one out for you mate! So from all of us here at UKDirt and the general online racing society, may you rest in piece Azza!

Well it was certainly an interesting night... After spending 4 hours at Fairhurst HQ both me and Lloydy left at 8pm, no practice for him and around 5 laps for me (of which I spun out twice)... I'm certainly not much of a shale driver in the ones, so I wasn't really expecting anything however after being eaten alive at the start of the final I managed to stick it on the inside line early doors and just kept her lit. Once I got through the traffic I struggled like hell to get a good lap together, I went from doing the odd .3 in the traffic to .5s on my own Mav and Simpson were certainly hard to catch, I had nothing for ether of them to be honest so they can both be proud of that. I'm pretty sure they both actually pulled away lol. GN I managed to start on the outside and win, which is something most people this is impossible Again I struggled to find pace without being able to rub on cars mid bend with my setup being so loose. After stringing 5 good laps together I managed to put some pressure on Mav and make the pass, however for the first time in many years I started mirror racing knowing I didn't quite have the brakes right to get me into the kerb and boom Mav was back on me! I was amazed at the turnout last night, I only raced because Sheffield is usually a quiet meeting! Long may these numbers continue... I was also very impressed with some of the novice drivers who really did put some of the UKDirt regulars to shame last night. So a huge congratulations to those novice drivers... Big thanks to Dan, Stumps and Co!

Great race there Jake... No idea what was going on with anyone in front of me, all i saw was 599 turn full lock right, next thing i was on my side.... WD to all of tonight's winners, especially TomK... I did think about taking that one off you, but you really did earn the win Next time you get the treatment

If you wanna start something... I will gladly finish it You couldn't finish your tea

Well Done Brian, proved to go well tonight.... and with the kinda points score I would hazard a guess on you being yellow very soon! Some good racing, some bad racing but I guess that was always expected with the kind of driving qualities some drivers tend to show! Beckett, chin up and onto the next one. You seemed very sideways tonight, maybe bring it back a bit and straighten the setup up As for you young wardy, you still have a lot to learn.... I'll teach you one day Good Luck next week

Multiplayer is really simple aub, and if you got the group of people wanting to race in Teamspeak or MIRC with it being more friendly for the likes of Mav, you could just run it from there. Each session is hosted in your own steamname with a max of 8 people in the lobby where it will automatically split heats and mix positions. I'm really into having a go. I'm sure Grasser will too

Without causing too much of an argument, the only people sad to see Coventry go will be the fans that live within an hour of the place. Year by year it gets more and more run down, the track isn't cared for, the pits are rubbish and there's no parking for half the transporters they let in. Don't even get me started on spectating lol! As I say to all of the people who 'love' Cov and think it's the dogs bo*****s then you've simply got to go to Holland once in your lifetime and it will blow you mind. People might mock the Dutch but there promoters put a lot of the money back into the tracks allowing for better pits, more parking, excellent track care between racing, nice toilets, clean bars with great viewing. That's just the start! Imaging having a 3 minute turn around between races no matter how much carnage there is! I'm not just talking about Venray here, or Baarlo for those old boys haha. Coventry might be the 'home' of stockcars, but as racing evolves, the world evolves and time moves on, it's certainly going to be vital for the sport to move on.... If you took a friend to Coventry for a normal meeting they would possibly enjoy it. Take them to somewhere nice, clean and professional like Blauwhuis, Venray, Emmen then they would want to go each week as it turns our mockery of a sport into an awesome day out with family/friends, just like it should be!

Your a bit low lloydy I was thinking £400 and half a packet of chocolate hobnobs

Beckett for gold! Congratulations mate. You deserve it!

The F1's at Northampton are never a fixture I look forward too as the track is just too appealing to some of the less skillful drivers, however I would love to just quickly educate people about the ways in which you become a much faster more competitive driver like Myself, TomD, LeeK, Jake, Mooby, DanSkin, Jalle, LiamB and all the rest of the top dogs..... It's pretty laughable, and a lot of the fellow red tops wont actually believe this, but the key to going fast is to brake before the corner, and then turn the steering wheel left to go around the bend. I know this is a completely new piece of information for one or two of the people starting in my grade for a known fact, but honestly try it.... It works Besides the one or two brain dead 'Superstar' drivers, and some of the kamikaze 'Red Tops' this meeting was again really enjoyable. LiamB and Jalle were proving hard to catch, by the time Jalle was in the lead all of the other danger drivers were still being hit flat out at the back of the pack by a pack of red tops who should all of known better so there was never a chance of Jalle or Liam being challenged. WD to all of the nights winners .......... On a lighter note, BrianB's Photobook has now hit facebook!! Brian's Photobook! -Northampton (17/03/16), WQ4 & WY2 - F1 - 2016
